I'm thinking about upgrading my ultra cheap duct fan and carbon filter to this beauty. It has a thermostat controller and is under 250€. It seems to good to be true for this price. Is anyone using it and give me a review?

I have used it and the spider farmer ones. Both have the smart controller for temp, and humidity. They make a little noise, but mine work well. I still use them almost 2 years later now.

If you have access to AC Infinity stuff, i would highly recommend using their products. You can get a 4" cloudlab extraction fan for under 0 Canadian money. It comes with the controller 69 wifi which is awesome and allows for total environmental control. As for carbon filter, AC Infinity wins again because their new carbon filter line are refillable. You can buy a bag of carbon and simply open your current filter and dump out the used carbon into the garbage, and fill the shell with fresh new carbon, and your off and running. Mars Hydro seems to make ok stull. I am just a huge fan and customer of AC Infinity namely because they have high quality products at affordable pricing, and their customer service is unmatched!

Looks can be decieving.. is it an "EC" motor? you can tell by the power control. the shitty fans come with a dial for maybe 75% - 100% ... the EC motor can go all the way down to 0 or 10%. If that is a direct copy of ac infinity, it's probably a good fan. if it just looks like it, it's trash. The other fans ipower/vivosun/vivohome/ make are shit. some look like this, too. beware of carbon filters -- they don't advertise what matters most.. how many grams of activated carbon? so you'd need to investigate and compare. i don't use carbon filters, so i don't know which are higher quality than others, i do know many brands are shit. More grams, better odor neutralization. Some won't even hide the smell. rate of air flow will impact a carbon filer's effectiveness, too. make sure the ratings match u between filter and duct fan. Terrabloom / ac infinity (puked in my mouth a bit) are two brands that make good fans. there ar emore out there. the cheap ones have shit power control and the bearings make squeaking noises within 3-6 months of use. One last tip.. go bigger than you need. Look to run one at 50% or less. They are all loud AF at max or near max power. You'll have less noise and less wear-n-tear on the equipment if you go 1 size bigger than needed.

My Ac infinity controller and duct fan look identical to that, probably made in the same place. Mars Hydro make good products so I'd imagine it will be good.

Bro I have a AC infinity which is supposed to be the best. I couldn't afford another, so I bought the Vevor inline fan that comes with the controller. Its super sweet and was 1/3rd the price. Its super quite and has automatic controls for temp and humidity high and low for each. It don't have more slots for things like the lights. Humidifiers, oscillating fans and so on.. But just as a inline fan with auto controller bro... the vevor is the best option fr. Mars hydro has slowly been getting better and it and spider farmer are both pumping good products out. If you want the most reliable, the ac infinity is the best bet. They all are nearly the same, I would worry about customer service and warranty more then any thing else tbh. Goodluck bro
