It’s the ph of the water that runs through your soil when watering. People say to water to 20% run off, so if you’re watering 2L and have 20% run off 400ml will come out the bottom of the pot. You test that 400ml will give you what the run off PH. But yes, it’s essentially telling you what the soil Ph is.

What, you should have no run-off at all from soil pal. PH is the content of the water. Most tap water is around the 6-7ph but be sure to always distille ur water to get rid of chlorine and that good luck pal.
