Your main lining for an outdoor grow? Oh so your going for a giant mainline bigger than anything we seen on here before- I like it. In that case id leave em on, They will absorb more light=more energy = more growth. Defol later on - because the sun actually moves across the sky and doesnt stay in one place like a LED in a grow room, you can leave more leaves on as the sun moves they will still get light. Outdoors your better off leaving more leaves on than you would indoors, ok. Take off any un wanted shoots thou- but leave as many leaves on for as long as possible outdoors.

Definitely leave those fan leaves. Those are the main source of photosynthesis for the new growths/shoots.

I would remove them as your not in the great outdoors yet and your laying your foundation to have a big plant. As long as you acclimate the plant to the outdoors in the shade a few days before letting it have direct sunlight. I would cut a bunch they will be back twice as many in 2 weeks .

Definitely leave the leaves, they are the solar panels making the energy your plant needs to grow. Less leaves = less energy being made = less growth. It really is that simple! Try and only ever remove yellow leaves, for by the time they are yellow, they have served their purpose. Besides, removing healthy green leaves and forcing your plant to grow new healthy green leaves is rather pointless. Hope this helps, Organoman.
