I usually top around week 3-4, even my autos. In my eyes it all depends on the strength of your root system, the better developed the better theyβll handle the HST. I usually feed root stimulant after I cut and generally speaking rarely to never have issues with a stunted plant.

I find it can give a couple of days shock. If this is done during week 3 - 4 when they are in their stride you can cost significant yeild.

Removing smaller bud sites?I'm in flowering week 6 and I notice very small bud sites on some branches. Is it recommended to remove the smallest buds sites at this stage? I was away during the first two weeks of flowering and could not lollipop properly. Thanks for your tips!!

FloweringTryed super cropping about 6days ago has taken well to 90 angle got a few more sites to it still been growing an inch a day heading for the light so having to tie it down still using LST to keep centre open removed at least 15 leaves am I slowing down flowering with all the abuse

Accidentally super cropped my autoHello, I've accidentally snapped the main branch while doing some LST which resulted in an unwanted super crop. It's a Northern Lights auto and I'm worried it won't recover since it's already in flower. What do you guys think will the plant recover?

Should I just release the other branch?

Topping as early as possible in week1 and LST new growtips in week2 vs letting stuff grow out for 2 weeks and Top and LST new growtips at the same time? Cheers π4 years ago

Why do you top your plants?This isnβt really a question but I just wanted to show you guys the effectiveness of LST/HST. I did an 8 cola mainline last grow, so Iβm very familiar with topping.
This is definitely a good method to achieve a topped canopy while reducing veg time:)

HST at week 2.5 in flower?Iβm roughly in between weeks 2-3 of flowering and was wondering if I can still high stress train at this point? Some of the tallest branches are within 6 inches of the light and I expect them to gain a few more inches even. Light is also at max height.Week 7
