The tap root will probably draw a lot of resources searching its new limits the first few days. Did the rootball disintegrate or otherwise get roughed up? if not, probably not shock. I've yet to see transplant shock after a couple hundred transplants or more. This might be a small sample,. but clearly not too common, even so. I even had a slightly too dry seedling pot where the substrate fall apart in my hand as i transplanted.. thing kept kicking like nothing happened, lol. Think i got lucky, there. The sun is more likely something to consider. If coming from artificial, it's not going to be happy under full brunt of sun. This may stunt it initially.

Can be, especially if temps are low or daylight is lacking. Giving your plants a splash with a seaweed tonic/seaweed extract can help greatly with transplant shock and boost their health too.

It can be, though typically nothing drastic. If you didn't harden them off that will affect them too.

Normally yes. you can sometimes avoid it if your really gentle with the transplant but its hard. I always give it a bit to recover from it. aorund 3-7 days. Good Luck!

any transplant to the plant causes stress, which slows down its growth. wait a few days and it will recover :).

It happened to me when I accidentally hurt the roots a little while transplanting. That one needed one or two weeks to recover entirely, until that she looked smaller and grew slower than her sisters. Have you just moved them outdoors? Then they have to adapt to their new place, it might take a few days. Transplanting is a shock for the plants anyway. My experience is that mycorrhizae (for example Mycotrex by Bio Tabs)can make this transition smoother for the plants.
