Yes and use desinfect your bucket with cleaning alcohol or something. Look for light leaks and check your water temperature. I once had a bad case with root rot. Checked for light leaks, closed them up. Put some frozen water bottles in the water to get the temp down. Did a lot of water changes AND I cleaned the woots with hydroperoxide (the one you can just buy) after a few days I saw improvement and after a 1-2 weeks it was basically fine.

Got to treat the roots with something to stop the rot. Hydro guard or peroxide. There is even a bleach on the market that will work fine. Clean bucket sure but if the roots keep rotting it will just come back.
