MNGrows My first cannabis seedling ever. Seems to be growing fast. Outdoor grow in fabric pot. Watering with tap water, .25 to .5 liters daily to every other day. PH measured 7 from the tap. Considering adjusting PH of water. Researching nutes. I decided to place the fabric pot on one of AC Infinity's self watering bases for fabric pots. I also put it inside a 36" outdoor mesh plant enclosure, in hopes of keeping some pests away.

MNGrows The plant got big enough to work with the self watering base for fabric pots. I haven't had to water it by hand in over a week now. Seems to be growing well so far. This location only gets about 6-7 hours of direct sunlight per day. It smells just a little bit, you have to get your face near it to smell it though.

I’ve got a bit of stretching going on with my first grow, can I safely add dirt to pot? I’d like to do lst soon but I’d like a little more dirt around the stem.

Yes, you can safely add more dirt. I would not over due it. The ph is likely different then what is in potter now. I generally start my lst about where you are maybe a few days later tops.

MNGrows Another hot week. Added some dirt. LST happened this week, debating doing it again once more leaves appear. Still haven't needed to add any nutes to the soil yet. Self watering base is working great. No signs of issues so far.

I just top dressed some Gaia Green into my soil. While mixing it in, I noticed several small flies fly out of the soil, I'm guessing they are fungal gnats. My plant is in preflower and showing pistals. Can I use neem oil in this situation to get rid of them?

Hey buddy, First of all nice grow so far - dont worry we get u covered here :) Using neem oil to control fungal gnats after top dressing during the preflower stage can be helpful, but there are precautions to consider: Neem Oil Application: Dilute neem oil properly and apply it during the evening to avoid direct sunlight. Integrated Pest Management (IPM): Use sticky traps, allow soil to dry between waterings, and consider introducing beneficial predators like nematodes. Monitor Carefully: Keep a close eye on plants. If gnats threaten plants, consider more aggressive action, but prioritize plant health and quality. --- Neem Oil Mix: - You'll need neem high-quality oil, a mild liquid soap or emulsifier, and water. Neem oil is not water-soluble, so it needs to be mixed with an emulsifier to create an even mixture. A common emulsifier is mild liquid soap, such as dish soap. - Mix 1 teaspoon of neem oil with 1/2 teaspoon of mild liquid soap. - Gently stir the mixture to combine. Once you have the neem oil and soap mixture, you'll need to dilute it with water. Use a gallon of water as a standard measurement. You can adjust the quantities proportionally if you need a smaller amount. - Fill a spray bottle or container with a gallon of water. - Add the neem oil and soap mixture to the water. - Close the container and shake it well to ensure thorough mixing. Before applying the neem oil mixture to your entire plant, test it on a small, inconspicuous area of the plant. This helps ensure that the plant doesn't have an adverse reaction to the solution. Apply the neem oil mixture as a soil drench or foliar spray during the evening or when the plant is not exposed to direct sunlight. Be sure to cover the tops and bottoms of the leaves, as well as the soil surface. Remember that neem oil has a distinctive smell, and while it's effective against pests, it can also leave a residue on the plants. If u have further Questions feel free to send me DM Have fun and GOOD LUCK :)

MNGrows I believe this was a pretty cool week outside. I believe this was the week the plant survived a pretty windy day outside. Several flower sites appeared on the plant this week as well, I'll provide an approximate count next week. The grow is getting very exciting!

MNGrows Flowering is really taking off this week. I decided to undo the LST since the plant was pulling in the side of the fabric pot and starting to grow straight anyways. I think I counted 20 flowers on the plant this week.

MNGrows Flowering is going nuts, I think there's over 40 flowers growing on my plant now. I didn't get the fungus gnats under control but the plant seems to be doing well. There's some leaf damage on some of the leaves, I'm unsure of what's causing it.

Can someone look at my photos and tell me what they think is attacking my plant? The local shop thought it was aphids but we're not really seeing proof of aphids. If you can identify what the issue is, please tell me how to solve it.

the markings on the lower leaves are reminiscent of spider mites. check on the underside of the leaves on the discoloured one and use a magnifying glass. If you see them. you need to nuke the plant with some heavy miticides. something with Pyrethrin works well on them. The other pick on the healthier leaves looks like some baby larva, maybe from a caterpillar? The weird goop on the leave might have been where the eggs where. If this is the case a product called BT, sometimes branded as caterpillar killer can help. its a bacteria control method and when they eat it they get sick and die. Good Luck!

MNGrows Wow flower really took off this week. It's my first grow and I was excited to be here. I saw signs of pests but wasn't sure what was doing it, so I hit it with Jack's Insecticidal Super Soap. Next day the pistils were burnt, really bummed me out. Planning on a bud wash at harvest.

MNGrows Buds seem to be getting big now. The smell of my plant has picked up a bit. I finally got a wireless microscope to see the tricomes, attached a pic of them. Nothing major to report this week, seems to be going strong. Top dressed my second round of nutes this week, anticipating a harvest shortly.

MNGrows Buds are getting bigger. Still bummed about the the damage down by spraying with pesticide. Fungal Gnats seems to be going crazy this week, I was worried it might not make it to harvest.

MNGrows This was the final week of flower, there's a bunch of rain in the forecast and I'm too worried about mold to leave it outside. It's got a strong smell.

Has a really nice smell to it. It smells like citrus, diesel, and earth after a couple of months of curing. Curing in a mason jar with a 58% boveda. I left smaller buds to age for an extra few weeks and they experienced cold nights and has a little bit of a blue tint to it. I've only tried the first harvest so far, it's light, fun, and functional with a side of giggles. I'm looking forward to growing this again.

MNGrows Harvested this week, feels like it could have gone another week or two. Wow trimming it smelled amazing. I'm sure I overdid it on the trimming. It's currently drying, really hoping I switch to cure at the right time. Overall, it seemed like a pretty easy strain to grow as a beginner. I really enjoyed outdoor growing in the mesh net, really looking forward to growing again next summer.
