🌗Switching to flowering this week, I reduced the length of the day by 1 hour each day until reaching 12 hours night time / 12 hours daylight on the 32rd day!🌞 đŸŒșOn the 32rd day I apply a layer of organic nutrients mixed with a little soil that I add to the top of each pot. I added 35 grams of BioBloom to each of my potsđŸŒș I'm doing some light defoliation again this week Happy, the growth went very well. Simply by lifting them; A light pot is a dry pot and will need more water, A heavy pot is a wet pot and will need less water. 5/21: I gave a feeding of cal-mag, tribus, and great white. Using 1/4 strength of recommended dosages. Just trying to add some microbes to the coco medium. Watering pH has been between 6-6.8 for all watering so far. 5/24: Transplanted BG#2 into a 7 gallon pot. Dusted roots with great white during the transplant. Built the soil right before transplant using a 60% coco (Plantonix: Coco Bliss), 30% perlite (Miracle grow), 10% earthworm Castings (Wiggle Worm) mix. Amended with Dr. Earth Flower girl 3-9-4 (1.89 cups/10 gallons of soil), Dr.Earth All-Purpose 4-4-4 (.6 cups/10 gallons soil), and Super phos rock bat guano from aurora innovations (5tsp/10 gallons soil). 5/27: Light might be too low/too intense based on the leaf curling

Fed compost tea with added Bio Pk on. Wednesday. Plain water all following feedings. Did a heavy defoliation today and removed some popcorn bud that I’d missed. No issues currently.

Les bud sont beau et dĂ©gagent une belle odeur fruitĂ©, le plant a une sacrĂ© couverture rĂ©sineuse, je pense qu’elle pourrais ĂȘtre parfaite pour faire des extraction! Cette semaine je lui ai donnĂ© un thĂ© de compost oxygĂ©nĂ©, on va voir comment elle va rĂ©agir. Recette du tco pour 20 litres. (Grammes : gr) 50gr biochar 250gr zĂ©olite 3gr granulĂ© Micro-Organisme IT45 10gr pollen d’abeilles 10gr levure de biĂšre 3gr endomychorize 10gr consoude 20gr vers de farine 10gr cendre coque de ricin 12gr ortie microniser 15gr Kelp 10gr spiruline 10gr de cbd living soil 20ml de miel liquide 30ml de mĂ©lasse 20ml d’acide humiques et fluvic Mettre tous les ingrĂ©dients (sauf la mĂ©lasse ,l’acide h/f et le miel) dans un filtre 400micron, le placer dans un seau avec de l’eau (10litres). Rajoutez le miel et 10ml de mĂ©lasse Y mettre un micro bulleur alimenter sur une pompe Ă  air et faire oxygĂ©nĂ© le mĂ©lange pendant 24h. Rajout de 10ml de mĂ©lasse aprĂšs 12h le dĂ©but de la mise en route de la pompe. A la fin des 24h rajoutez le restant de mĂ©lasse et d’acide h/f, mettez y en plus 10litres d’eau au mĂ©lange. Reste plus qu’à arroser! Pour la Frosty j’y ai incorporĂ© 7litre de mĂ©lange La veille j’ai prĂ©parĂ© le pot Ă  l’arrosage avec 500ml d’eau et 2gr de Bacillus IT35 Amyloliquefaciens X5 Bacillus Amyloliquefaciens : rhyzosphĂšre, probiotiques. Aspersion et arrosage. Utilisable pour toutes cultures. La bactĂ©rie Bacillus Amyloliquefaciens se fixe dans la rhizosphĂšre en se nourrissant des exsudats racinaires. En contrepartie, elle stimule la croissance racinaire en sĂ©crĂ©tant des mĂ©tabolites de croissance et solubilise le phosphore en sĂ©crĂ©tant des phytases (enzymes). The end of week 1 has arrived. We all know how it goes. Just playing the waiting game. At this stage these girls are just working on building their root system. The roots should be hitting the reservoir in the bottom of the buckets soon then they should take off. Got the water pumping and the lights beaming 24 hours a day. Running a low dose of maxigro. Keeping the ph around 6. Will probably be topping them around day 12. Would be amazing if I can get them ready to switch to flower at the end of week 3. But for now I'm just going to check on them 420 times a day hoping they don't die. Might be back next week if they are alive. Happy growing!

30.12.24: So I finally became brave enough last night to use LST on my grow for the first time. Watermelon 🍉 is doing much better than the other plants were at this stage, and still better than one that's 7 weeks old already! I'm very pleased with this strain and phenotype so far. As I've implemented the LST much earlier for her, I'm very excited to see what happens in the next couple of weeks 😃 Thanks for checking out my diary đŸ™‚đŸƒâœŒïž

So here’s Week 2 of the Sweet Seeds Gorilla Girl XL Auto’s grow. All in all an easy week but there has been time spent reinforcing a couple of the seedlings because they are so top heavy. I check in on my seedlings at least once a day (oftentimes 2-3 times daily) just to make sure that all equipment is functioning well and temps are stable. Upon looking into the windows of the tent I discovered that the smallest seedling (the one that lost one of it’s cotyledon leaves) was tipped right over. I gently supported her with a homemade splint (a tent peg/pipe cleaner combo- pictured above) and she’s currently standing on her own again. She’s still smaller than the others but surviving, not thriving for now. I used some fresh additional soil to fill in any gaps and pack down around the bases of the other three plants’ stems. Speaking of stems/stalks- the three healthy seedlings have peeling/stretching stalks and are starting to push out their first sets of branches. Other than that, same routine as always- watering every fourth day at 1.4 litres per watering or 0.35 of a litre per plant per day. I will be increasing the water sometime over week three. That’s it for now. Mom’s Tip for Week #2- Don’t Over Water! (when growing in soil of course)
 When learning to read your plant’s needs, water is a very important factor to consider. I often notice other growers with tiny seedlings sitting in completely saturated pots of soil. Or read that many other growers don’t believe in placing newly sprouted seedlings into their final containers/pots. Both issues being easily resolved by simply paying close attention to your plant’s body language, it’s grow environment and sticking to a schedule. Cannabis truly thrives and benefits from a wet to almost fully dry watering cycle. From my own personal experience with photosensitive strains grown outside in the summer to growing autoflowers indoors through the fall, winter and spring- all of my Cannabis seems to do best when watered every 4th day like clockwork! This schedule is somewhat subjective of course depending on the environment that you are growing in. Here in Canada, much of our year is cool to cold and the humidity is relatively low. Because of this my plants are not always able to take in moisture from the air through their stomas so they suck up more water from what’s readily available in their pots. In other environments (ex. tropical), you may be able to stretch out this cycle- watering every 5-7 days because your plants are pulling so much water directly from the humidity in the air. And how you water your plants matters too. When starting out with newly sprouted seedlings placed into their final containers- less is more. There is no need to completely soak all of the soil in a 5-7 gallon pot. Simply start with a small amount (0.5-1 litre) directing the water to the base of the plant, working your way outwards in a circular pattern. As you increase the amount of water, I try to work my water outwards- making my circle slightly bigger each time I water until eventually I am soaking the soil surface all the way out to the edges of the pot. This process is gradual, stretched over a period of 4-6 weeks. It will encourage the roots to reach for water and allow your plants the time needed to grow into a heavy dose of H2O. Finally, learning to read your plant’s body language will help you to understand when they need and don’t need water as well as food, more/less light, temperature changes, etc. Healthy, well watered plants are generally light green with leaves slightly turned up towards the light/sun. They will be growing/thickening every day and able to support their own weight even in a very breezy environment. Leaves are soft and supple, not dry and brittle and there are usually no marks or discolouration of any kind on the foliage throughout your grow. Water quality is important too but that’s any entirely different tutorial for another time. Bountiful harvests are very possible by simply tweaking your watering schedule to suit your plants’ ultimate needs.

What can I say in the end except that I am very happy that everything went well again and now I am enjoying the wonderful smoke of Cookies Gelato. Here is a quick overview of this cycle. 21/06/2022 - planting 14/09/2022 - harvest 3 weeks of vegetation 8 weeks of flowering 15 days of drying 60 years. total yield 1 Cookies Gelato Auto plant After harvesting, the plant was dried for 15 days, after which I trimmed the flowers and put them in jars to ripen. I think I've stated almost everything I had in mind. If anyone has any questions, feel free to write. I have to admit that the grow diaries community is not that active anymore and I'm sorry that it has come to that. I hope that the right things will come into focus again so that the community can grow and not compete. Thank you all for your support.

This was a fun little project with a few ups and downs. Overall it was a success. I managed to get 86 Seeds off of the two plants, this is a smaller number but given that I started the pollination about 2-3 weeks late I am impressed. Top this all off with the fact I was using 10ppm silver solution for the majority of the reversing process and only had 30ppm for about a single week near the end. Moving forward if I plan on reversing anymore plants I will be investing in some STS vs Silver solution. It's easier to use and has stronger results. I also managed to get 25g of bug from the plants as well that I will infuse into some butter. Not to worry these are not the branches that where sprayed with silver and they have been cut off and disposed of in the composter. When I decide to grow these out I'll try and create a new diary and test if the CBD/THC ratios remain intact, if the plants are viable. I have not tested the germination rate on these seeds and for all I know they are duds or will not resemble their back-crossed parents. This is my first seed making project and so much is new and unknown to me. Have had lots of help along the way from some good GD friends. Tried to post lots of photos and products I used. The photos labelled [PREVIOUS HARVEST] where when I first grew this wonderful strain out. It has the same peppery kush smell and crazy deep purples as it first did. I did shock these plants with a heavy feeding that stunted them greatly, I also transplanted them when I should have started them off in their forever pot. This was all explained in the weekly entries when it happened and why. overall the autos are not heavy yielding but more average for an auto and that's ok with me. Its the smells, taste colours and CBD contest that draw me to it. Somethings to note from the diary, most of the liquid nutrients are diving by how much water I gave them, typically 4L. Solid nutrients are divided per litre of medium in the pots or they are the total amounts I added. Just ask if you have Questions.

Can definitely tell that the main Tops(oldest) have stopped growing taller, lower branches are still trying to catch up. Tricomes on the top buds are still clear

Really happy to harvest this girl. Made sure I pushed her to the max. Just about 70 days. She was done around 65. 14hrs into pre fower and beyond. I find that with High ppf with less hrs. Makes for much better phenos. Really happy to say. This is SUCH A 100% TOP strain. And it'll be 500% a auto that I'll repeat Mind you I've hardly ever repeated any strains. Except mimosa X orange punch auto and super lemon haze. And a few CBDs. So, if anything that should speak volumes to me saying this is a tip top strain. Going to run her with one of their new autos, apple strudel is meant to have very high terps. All about the taste. And this Apricot Auto from Fastbuds has this in spades.

Now we are in week 8. Plants stopped growing. I will let them grow two more weeks and then I will at least harvest two of them. Depending on the trichomes I will keep the other two for 4-5 weeks more, because I will be away ... traveling lets hope that the sun is coming out again and that the buds get bigger and bigger in the last two weeks. BTW I stopped giving any type of nutrients, just water.

Pistols everywhere now, I was getting low key worried lol I've done a bit of trimming here and there in the last week. Pretty much all set for their final run into flowering. I might trim off a few more of the tiny branches on the bottom. They will need to be pinned down a bit here and there. I really need to get on that. Reservoir topping off has started now, they make it roughly five days before I need to add a bit of water.
