4/10/2023 - Day 43: just watered yesterday so nothing really new to report. They are really starting to smell now. Hits you right in the nose when I open the tent. Seeing more purple on the Grand Prix and some pistol browning on all the plants. Only minor problem I've had is the heat. It was almost 100° today, but my three fans and the exhaust have kept the temp under control for the most part. Had to turn on the AC for the assist, but kept temps at 80° in the tent. 4/13/2023 - Day 46 Flower: Not much has changed and I haven't had to do anything, so I haven't provided an update in a few days. Had to water again today. Added 4 gallons mixed with the same things I've been using. Jay Plantspeaker Quillaja as a wetting agent, Rootwise Bio-Phos and Bio-Catalyst, BuildASoil Big 6 Micro Nutrients and BuildABloom, Fermented Peach Extract, and Coconut Powder. 4/15/2023 - Day 48: I think the warmer weather has caused the girls to drink more. Watered another 4 gallons today, but just plane water with Jay Plantspeaker Quillaja. Seeing more purple on the two Grand Prix. Seeing a lot more orange pistols as well. The Grand Prix #2 has like a citrus gas smell, and the Frozen White Runtz is like a sweeter gas. The Ice Bath is earthy, and the Grand Prix #3 does not have a strong scent, but the bud structure is my favorite of all four.

Week 7 Flower — Sundae Driver (Grow Diaries Report) Quick recap for new readers From seed to here, this run has been a careful dance between living soil, precision feeding, and adaptive training: • Seeds germinated with Aptus support, then transplanted directly into 11L fabric pots of enriched soil. • Minimal veg — early switch to flower under 11/13 schedule. • One tall ā€œmoon-shotā€ top supercropped early in flower to control height and redirect hormones → result: knuckle healed beautifully, more bud sites formed. • Feeding has been a Plagron + Aptus combo, alternating between soil-driven nutrition and steering solutions, keeping EC and pH carefully managed. • By Week 6, we saw resin pouring in, trichomes swelling, pistils still pushing white, and strong aroma developing. Now, in Week 7, we are right in the heart of bulking. āø» Environmental update • Outside: brutal heatwave (temps up to ~45°C / 110°F). • Grow space: thanks to AC, canopy temps hold around 28°C with the lung room at ~21.8°C. • Humidity: still high, ~62%. Ideally we’d want 45–55% at this stage, but the girls are adapting beautifully — no visible signs of mold or rot, airflow and plant vigor are keeping them safe. • Tools: Trolmaster and Spider Farmer apps logged to share transparent data. āø» Feeding & recipe this week You’ve reintroduced the All-in-One liquid into the Plagron + Aptus recipe, pushing EC slightly higher again for an extra boost: • Plagron PowerBuds, Sugar Royal, Green Sensation → stacking, sugars, and bloom density. • Aptus Regulator + CalMag Boost → structural strength, stress resilience, mineral balance. • All-in-One liquid → full-spectrum nudge to keep driving flower bulking. This ā€œsoil-first, solution-steeringā€ approach works perfectly here. The soil still holds a strong base load (your earlier EC readings confirmed this), and the solution acts like an accelerator without overloading. āø» Plant performance & structure • Bulking: Both Sundae Drivers are filling out massively — flowers are swelling, colas thickening, side branches almost unable to hold themselves upright. • Support: You’ve improvised by tying branches to each other, preventing collapse. This is a classic late-flower ā€œgood problemā€: weight means density. • Supercrop site: completely healed, producing solid flower along the bent top and nearby branches. A textbook example of how to redirect growth without losing yield. • Color: Leaves still lush green, minimal fade — showing balanced feeding and no major deficiencies. āø» Trichomes & pistils — where we stand • Trichomes: Frost is stacking heavy — from sugar leaves to outer calyxes, a shimmering coat is spreading. Under magnification, most heads are clear-to-cloudy, with some areas beginning to lean more cloudy. Amber not yet common — perfect for Week 7. • Pistils: Still plenty of white hairs, but we’ll begin to see darkening and curling soon as calyxes mature and resin production peaks. • Meaning: Plants are still actively in the bulking/resin-factory stage. Harvest is not yet — but we’re entering the critical monitoring phase. āø» What Week 7 means (technically) This is the late bulking / mid-ripening window. • Calyxes expand → actual bud density increases. • Terpenes develop rapidly → strong smells, unique cultivar expression. • Resin pathways peak activity → cannabinoids build, but need 1–2+ more weeks to fully mature. • Risk window for botrytis → high humidity + dense colas = careful airflow essential. āø» What to expect next week Expect: • Noticeable increase in aroma — terpenes often ā€œpopā€ around Week 8. • Trichomes shifting more to cloudy; a few ambers may begin depending on genetics. • Pistils starting to darken and recede, giving buds a more ā€œfinishedā€ look. • Possible leaf fade (yellowing from the bottom up) as mobile nutrients are pulled into flowers. Don’t expect (yet): • Full amber trichome maturity — too early. • True ā€œfinal swellā€ — that’s more Weeks 8–9+. • Safe humidity window — continue to monitor closely, as the dense colas can surprise you. āø» Practical checklist for Week 7 • Support colas: stake, tie, or net if branches keep falling. Weight will only increase. • Dehumidify if possible: even a small drop to ~55% would reduce risk of bud rot. • Airflow: max canopy circulation; keep oscillating fans moving air through colas, not just over them. • Microscope/loupe checks: continue logging trichomes daily or every other day — aim for a clear photographic timeline. • Smell watch: sudden changes in aroma (musty instead of fruity/sweet) can be early warning of mold. • Continue balanced feeding: don’t pull nutrients too early — Week 7 is still active bulking. āø» Reflection — the beauty of Week 7 Both Sundae Drivers are now showing their full potential: heavy colas, strong resin, vibrant health despite high heat and humidity challenges. This week is less about intervention and more about careful support: holding up branches, keeping airflow right, and letting the plants finish their masterpiece. The photos and videos (especially the behind-the-scenes ā€œhands and cameraā€ shots) add a human touch to the diary, it’s not just about the plants, but about the grower’s relationship with them. That connection, plus the technical details, is what makes our journey so special. āø» Gratitude & closing Week 7 is a turning point, the moment where patience pays off, where you get to watch the plants finish their story. Thank you to Plagron and Aptus for the tools, and thank you to the community who reads, comments, and shares this journey. We are almost there, but not yet. With true love comes happiness. Always believe in yourself, and always do things expecting nothing and with an open heart. Be a giver, and the universe will give back in ways you could never imagine. šŸ’š Growers love to all šŸ’š P.S. 🌱✨ For those of you who are afraid of trying out super cropping, this diary is living proof that it works. The bent stem bounced back stronger, healed into a solid knuckle, and rewarded us with extra bud sites and bigger flowers. Don’t fear new techniques. If your plant is stretching too much, or if you want to unlock more yield, super cropping is a safe, effective way to train her. Trust your plants, trust the process, they’re stronger than you think.

Last week went well. She is still stretching some but stacking up bud now. Wonder how it's going to turn out. Didn't do much last week besides removed some fan leaves blocking buds and tucked some others. I adjusted some lst ties to open her up some and she is coming along. Until next time happy growing to everyone!

Overall i am satisfied with this strain and I do plan on buying more seeds from Barney’s farm. Very strong and stable genetics I highly recommend this strain to experienced growers as well as newbies. Very easy to grow and a great smoke.0

12/13 - Day 71 - Watered with Recharge and Molasses. The girls have started to show signs of light burn. I'll find something shorter to put the smaller two plants on. The big girl is going to have to keep burning until I chop the other two down. Once she's alone in the tent I'll be able to pull the branches down and out in order to create more space between the tops and the light. 12/18 - Day 76 - Got a bigger tent so the ladies could stretch their legs. I fed a slightly stronger dose of nutrients yesterday and its pretty evident it was too much for the plants because slight nutrient burn symptoms have returned. Fan leaf discoloration and a few tips clawing. Will back off for the next few waterings and watch them closely. Flowers are all developing nicely.

2 weeks to flower in main tent. Red Hot May have had a little nute burn. Lighting is at 628 on Par meter. 78deg avg. Malt was accidentally super cropped. Healing from splitting her branch. Oozecake aka Judy is my prize now. She fought through some mold 1st week. Transplanted her with only 1 node. Then her 2nd transplant to 1 gallon she was stunted for a week.

The seedlings in their rockwool cubes were planted into high quality soil in clear (to monitor root development) 140mm pots. The seed raising soil was first sterilised with boiling water and cooled then Mykos root enhancer was added. The clear pots were then placed into a black pot to keep light from getting to the roots. Each plant was then placed into larger white pot to reflect light and heat, with a clear dome placed over them to maintain humidity. The lamp used was a cheap 1400 lumen warm white LED spotlight from the local hardware, set to 16-8. No watering was done for many days as the soil was saturated from the sterilisation.

Pretty good week, no problems. Added a dehumidifier yesterday (Saturday). And also bought a new light. The light should arrive on Tuesday. Looking forward to that because then I’ll be able to spread them out further so they’ll all have as much room to grow as they need. I believe they’ve started flowering, that happened like day 24 when I first noticed the white hairs coming out of the bud sites. They really took off growing mid way through the week. Like twice the growth as the prior week. I haven’t been defoliating per se, I have been tucking & tying leaves down. Many of the secondary flowering nodes have actually surpassed the main cola’s of my plants height wise. Those that did I tied slightly back down. Really wish I could cut a few branches off them without stressing them out. Oh well. Such is the bane of autoflower growing. The new light I bought is a Colofrog 2021 CF 2400 LED w/Samsung LM301H Osram Diodes. From what I gathered online, it’s a better light than the Mars hydro tsw 2000 I currently own. I’ve got my ts 1000 in the tent currently just to get through until the new light comes Tuesday.

Day 92: what’s happening guys! Week 14 is here. Temps have been okay and humidity has been okay. I’ve got the 400w hps set up and it’s dropped temps slightly and slightly raised humidity which is what I wanted. In my opinion she’s looking ready for the chop! I’m seeing plenty of cloudy trichomes and a few ambers and I’m going for less of a couch lock so I’m thinking around now she is ready. I started plain water 6 days ago and she’s recieved 2L,1L and then 1L again today. All leaves have started yellowing, I imagine this is the plant pulling the nitrogen from the leaves as there’s none at the roots. How much longer does she need to be fed plain water for before she is ready for the chop? Thanks! Stay safe and happy growingāœŒļøšŸŒ±šŸ End of the day edit: I decided to harvest the majority of her. The bottoms just a bit under developed so I’ll leave it going a bit longer. After chopping and taking photos out of the hps light the nugs are looking a tinge purple although I can’t see it as strong with my eyes. Hopefully I’ll get a wet weight later so I can add it to the diary later on. Temp is around 24c and humidity is 45-55. How does that sound? I’ve got extractor at the top and a fan at the bottom. We’ll see how long it takes to dry, hoping to go for atleast 5 days. With the virus going around I’m really making use of what I have at home so hopefully the climate will hold upšŸ¤ž any tips and advice about drying and curing etc is hugely appreciatedšŸ™ I’ll be back with the harvest update once she’s dried outāœŒļømany thanks happy growing!šŸšŸŒ± She weighed in wet at 110 grams. Any ideas what she’ll weigh dry? I’m guessing an ounce if I’m lucky.
