Greetings my dear Jungletamers, So a major surprise came when @MarsHydroLED contacted us and asked if would like to try out their new SP 3000 light. Being a fan of Mars Hydro for years, we of course accepted their offer. We are totally in love with this light. I was when I saw it in another grower's setup and was in awe of its output and results. So with much pride and thankfulness for the presents the Universe bestowed on us, in the form of MarsHydroLEDS offer and the bountiful harvest of the last grow, (which I am thoroughly enjoying btw, such a great weed to have grown ourselves) we start out on a new adventure that we can't wait to share with you. With many lessons learned from the previous grow, a mighty producing strain in the form of Expert Seeds Gorilla Glue #4, a.k.a Expert Gorilla's and a tweaked super soil mixture, we are setting out to hopefully get over a gram per watt, preferably 1.5. The Setup A 4.5 (140 cm) x 2(70) x 6.2 (200) grow tent, giving me a .98 m2 workspace. This space is customized to my needs. A standing fan will provide airflow through the whole grow, a top fan will help guide cooler air past my lights onto the grow. 3 56 ltr pots will be the home for the plants when they are 2 weeks old, up to then in smaller jars. The Light The leading role and star of the show will be played by the Mars Hydro SP-3000, so kindly provided by MarsHydroLED, which we will test and review here and I might say, endorse. I'm very careful with who I endorse and support these days, but a company with that many wins in design, I'm talking ever since their first range came out in 2009 these guys have been raising the bar for the whole industry, I did not hesitate to support this leading brand. If you want to compete with these guys, you better bring some quality AND affordable pricing. Why do I endorse the SP-3000 without ANY hesitation? It is seriously THE BEST light on the market in this price range and size group. It has an enormously effective output in U/Mol and with 30% less energy waste comparing to older LED lights. Prove me wrong! And with a company holding a considerable market share selling thousands of units every month, competing on price and quality, one would think that customer service would suffer. Of course, also Mars Hydro is not perfect, but check the sheer amount of people that not only praise the light but also the service received, should the light somehow not perform up to par. It is this dedication to their customer base that made this company have a fanbase... Yes, a fanbase with a website and a wiki. Lineage: Chem Sis x Chocolate Diesel x Sour Dubb Popularity: Extremely Popular Flavor/Aroma Profile: Chocolate, Earthy, Fuel Yield: 400 g/m2 Stress Tolerance: High resistance to disease Potency: 24% THC Flowering time: 58 - 63 days The Soil: Those who saw my Monstercropped Gelato #33 grow (you should see it if you didn't, I'm so proud of that grow), know about my super soil and organic nutrients/ permaculture tea combo that starred in my previous diary. Because of the great results, we are going to use the same recipe, adjusted some more with some new ingredients that will complete the mix and give an even more sustained super soil buffer. 20% Atami Bi-grow (very similar to ocean forest) 20% Atami worm castings 20% Atami Coco Coir 10% Hydrocorn 10% Peat powder 1 cup Fossil seaweed chalk 1 cup bonemeal 1 cup bloodmeal 1 cup Microlife 3-4 teaspoons of epsom salt 3 cups of activated biochar (activated with our own permaculture tea) I just made layers, starting with hydro corn on the bottom to aid airflow/run-off. On this I started layering the coco coir, Bi-grow, peat, castings, and amendments in a way that the more mature the plants get, the more phosphorous and less nitrogen they will find. Every time I made three layers, I would mix them by hand. This way we simulate natural soil, which consists of humic layers, composting plant waste, fungal and microbial life, and nutrients from fossilized sources. The Nutrients I will start with just adding 6.4 PH water, although this soil should buffer ph itself and regulate, after 4 weeks, I'll slowly be adding: - Biobizz Grow - Plagron Alga Grow - Biobizz CalMag - Biobizz Flower - Plagron Alga Flower - Biobizz Topmax - Melasses The Tea Some of you might remember the permaculture tea from my previous grow, I have a short video in my harvest page showing how we make it), it will star again in this grow. - (Rain)water - Comfrey (whole plants) - Dandelion leaves - Roots and leaves from the earlier grow - Minor periwinkle (Finca minor) is a plant we have in our garden, it contains an alkaloid that is associated with increased brain function but also is a light toxin for wee beasties and other unwanted guests like gnats (who hate it). - When flowering I add some wood ash to this mix Thank you for checking in on one of my grows again! Day 63 - Flowers just starting. They're looking nice. Through the week I've chopped quite a few leaves off her to allow light penetration.

🗓️ Week 13 – Flower Week 9 (MAC n Cheese only) Stage: Final Flush 🌿 Overview: MAC n Cheese has entered the final phase of flower and is now deep into flushing with Flawless Finish. The fade-out has begun – leaf color is starting to lighten naturally as nutrient reserves are depleted. Trichomes are mostly cloudy, with just a few early amber starting to show. 💧 Flush Details: • Flush solution: CalMag (EC 0.3) + Flawless Finish @ 2 ml/L • Input pH: 6.2–6.3 • Drain EC: 2.0–2.2, slowly decreasing → No signs of nutrient lockout or overfeeding during the flush Observation: MAC n Cheese is clearing out at a steady pace, though slightly slower than Seriotica. The buds are heavy, dense, and sticky, showing solid late-stage development. No stress symptoms – just a natural fade and ripening under control. 🌕 Harvest Window: Trichomes are hitting the ideal range – cloudy with early amber – harvest is just around the corner!

Feed 1 Grow 1ml, bloom 3ml, topmax 3ml. Feed 2 Alg-a -mic 3ml. Feed 3 Grow 1ml, bloom 3ml, topmax 3ml. Three feeds of 1 litre.

Girls are on cruise control, gave them another big feed of the Cronk Nutrients. The info says this strain is 70-75 days, we’re at day 63 and they are still putting on weight. I’m thinking around the 22-25 of September is when I’ll start checking the trichomes more often. Checked today, most are cloudy, still quite a few clear though. I want to harvest my two strains together and as long as they stick to the timeline they say (give it take) we should be good 😊 Happy Gardening 🇨🇦❤️🌱😎💨

Been told this is a lovely strain to grow so looking forward to seeing how she does. Fell over after a few days and needed help to stand up but other than that and some minor calmag defiency which is probably already corrected for, she's doing fine and catching up to the others in the tent fast. Hope you all enjoy my first attempt at a 1 week timelapse. I'll intend to record the whole grow this way so follow along for updates and please let me know any tips/tricks any of you may have for recording / editing. Noticed what looks like to me a little nitrogen deficiency so started feeding biogrow at 2ml 2nd week with the new lights and they seem to enjoying it although space is getting very tight in my closet! Going to need to migrate to tent sooner then later

Week 18 Day 120 (11/12/2020): I checked the girl’s trichomes and they are looking great! They are still mainly cloudy with only a handful of amber ones, but the other girls in the tent are definitely more ready. We will have to take them out at the same time so they can dry in the tent for good air circulation and a controlled environment. The pistils on the DSD are also the least developed compared to the other girls. So I will need to start the flush at the next watering.This one would definitely benefit from a bit more time but I I think since the trichomes are already cloudy she would be ready in 2 weeks anyway 💪 Day 121 (12/12/2020): The girl is looking good today but actually noticed that some leaves are starting to go yellow. Although I think during this time it is actually good news and I will be happy for her to take up all the nutrients left into the buds to make them extra tasty!🤤 Day 122 (13/12/2020)💧: Sooo this week is the start of the flush, just 1.5L of water. They are definitely ready for the flush and the buds are looking gorgeous! So gorgeous, in fact, that we cannot wait for the girls to be ready. So I cut some stems off to dry 🙊 We basically realised that they will not be ready and dry by Christmas (plus we would want to still cure them for min 2 weeks) and so I cut some of the smaller stems off to get some buds ready for Christmas celebrations 🎄 I only cut off 2 stems (one from each girl) of the buds that were at the bottom. I’ve put them into a box with holes in a room thathas good airflow. I’ll also make sure to weigh them and add it to the final dry weight. They do look super amazing though and definitely quite purple Day 123 (14/12/2020): Didn’t have time today to take pics of the girls but I’m sure they are fine 😉 Day 124 (15/12/2020): I swear the buds look fatter and fatter every single day that I check her. Looking great, smelling great, and will definitely taste great! Day 125 (16/12/2020)💧: Second flush of the week, great stuff. Just gave her 1.5L of water and ripped off some dry leaves. There are some stems at the bottom that are still quite weak and cannot hold their weight. At this point it is too late to cut them off but I have definitely learned to lollipop for the future! Day 126 (17/12/2020): What a great end to the week and just 1 more week to go! Buds are looking astonishing at this point. And I swear they are still getting bigger and bigger. My only concern is that the buds still have some white pistils which also determines maturity. I hope they ripen up a bit more over the last week! And next week I will be watering twice and probably harvest after the whole week is finished, so on Christmas day! What a great present 🎁

Easy to grow, beautiful structure and plant. Big frosted, dense buds with very good odour 🤤. Would 100% recommend.

🍉 Plants continue to grow amazingly into the 3 week 🍉 Temps are going up as Summer is kicking in 🌄 I added some worm hummus to the pot as it will soon start to flower and require more nitrogen from the soil

Now every time I open the tent fifty cent candy shop song intro plays in my head and my nose do that Lil bewitched dance and I smile like wow this is really like a candy shop and there's a big cotton candy party going on. The ladies a feeding now like food is running out, I'm down to ever tree days watering and they are just in overdrive with bud development. The fade has begun to be more pronounced long with the different tones of citrus.

Sounds like an epic strain and I personally cannot wait for this lady to strut her stuff!😍 ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The Setup: This is going to be an outdoor grow, but I have started the Papaya Sherbet photoperiod indoors as our weather is still a bit too chilly to put a newly sprouted seedling outside (nighttime temp's dipping regularly into the 40's℉). The plan is simple... let her grow inside under a 19/5 light schedule until the nighttime temperatures are in the mid 50's℉, which shouldn't be long. After which, she'll be moved outside and transplanted into the soil which I have already setup and inoculated with beneficial microbes, and slow release dry amendments from Gaia Green. Once she's established herself outside she'll be given periodic top dressings of Gaia Green 4-4-4 and 2-8-4 along with worm castings and Compost Tea's. Her grow area is approx. 5'x5' and I have posts and a trellis net set up already for when she gets bigger to aid in training her. Let the fun begin!🤪💚 ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Weekly Updates: 5/7- Here we go with the new addition to the FastBuds family, Papaya Sherbert fem photo. I placed one seed in a glass of lukewarm tap water (non-chlorinated well water). Within 24hrs there was a root beginning to show coming out of the seed. I then placed the seed between two moistened paper towels that I then put in a vented plastic container. I put the container in a dresser drawer where it would be warm and dark. 5/9- When I checked on the seed yesterday, there was a substantial root about 1/2" long coming from the seed. I then planted the seed, root first with just the seed head exposed, in a 2" starter pot filled with peat that I pre-moistened with 6.5ph well water. I placed the starter pot in the bottom of a Solo Cup that I had cut in half. I then placed a clear Solo Cup over it to act as a humidome and placed it under the lights in the grow room. Today the little Papaya Sherbert showed her pretty little self and so begins this journey together with her! 5/12- Two days ago the Papaya Sherbet sprouted her first true leaves and today she's really showing some vigor and some impressive growth! Today I went ahead and transplanted her for the first time into a 2qt pot filled with pre-amended coco/perlite. Before placing the Papaya Sherbet into her new home I coated the hole with Xtreme Gardening MYCOS, then placed the Papaya Sherbet and watered her in. 5/15- One week from breaking ground and the FastBuds Papaya Sherbet feminized photoperiod is looking fantastic and doing great with a second set of leaves now out! She's liking her bigger pot and is really beginning to take off now. I should be able to do her final transplant, which will move her outside, next week as our weather is rapidly improving... 30 September 2020 Sunset Sherbet Plant is growing very strong and the bottom 3 cola branches are being stress trained to all edges of the pot, this helps - with all the branches being exposed to the light and to grow the same height as the rest of the canopy. The stem is of this plant is growing really thick 🍑 about 1cm thick Leaves are big and strong reaching ( 15,5cm length ) My experience with growing Sunset Sherbet so far ( Week 6 Day 2 ) This strain from Cape Ape Seeds is actually so good, just the plant itself is a bright lime green and the nugs it will carry is going to be Frosty Purple❄️💜 nugs. By growing this beautiful strain so far it has grown very healthy and just in general very fast, this plant has no problems so far and all it wants to do is continue growing. Do-Si-Wine The Do-Si-Wine is growing very well, a very moderate growth as it says in it’s subscription, but none the less still a very grow so far. The bottom 4 colas are all stress trained to the edges of the pot to ensure each branch from each cola gets to grow outwards in its own space and to get more light. The stem is about 0.7cm thick which is not that thick compared to the SunSet Sherbet. While writing this I noticed my she has SNAPPED from her previous stress straining session, I was checking out the stem thickness and noticed the main stem had snapped. But luckily this is not the first this happened and I know how to fix this. To fix this all you need is some tape, now see if the plant didn’t completely break off you can still tape the plant back together and the plant should heal itself within a few days, although I need to wait a bit before I stress train this one again. She started making pistols🤗, but I’m not sure if this is because of the snap or if it’s getting ready to start blooming. All the side branches from the bottom 4 colas are all nice and long growing at a nice rate. The leaves are nice and strong reaching ( 11cm in length ) My experience from growing Do-Si-Wine 🎶🍷 from Cape Ape Seed seed bank is very good so far, on the site it says moderate growth difficulty and it is quite accurate compared to the Sunset Sherbet’s easy growth difficulty, it’s quite fun working with a moderate growth because the plant needs more tending to, for instance the side branches are thinnish and need to be stress trained often to reach the end of the pot, the plant is also very stiff because she snapped without me realising and had to tend to the break a day later. Also while growing this plant I noticed that the plant’s leaves are very dark green and the bud it’s going carry is going to be white so I can’t wait to see how she makes her buds.

25.7. Defoliation done! Plants rotation done! Im happy with process :) they have lot of smell at this stage. Watering at ph 6.4 with no fertilizer. 29.7. Everything is perfect 🙏 31.7. Plants are healthy, buds even so fast looks hard 😍
