Growing super well! lots of bud sites, should start flowering soon even though that seems soon. I topped this guy right before the beginning of week 4 and its recovered well.

Hey there, brother! Healthy looking plant you got there! It looks a bit short (as of day 21, anyway) to start LST. You may want to raise your grow light a bit to try and induce a little stretching. I always find it's easier to do LST when the stalks are a bit longer. They sell some plant training wire that is wrapped in soft rubber -- I use that to avoid it cutting into my plants. I'm doing DWC too - and I use my bucket handle and the level tube holder to anchor. Unfortunately, the buckets don't lend themselves well to LST. But you can definitely get it done! I usually do it around weeks 3-5. After week 5 or 6 the plants start to get more woody and aren't as flexible. But, you'll see the buds pointing back upwards usually after a couple of hours! There's not much to "learn" -- in my opinion -- but you just want to make your bud sites as flat as possible to even out the light distribution. You'll find that some buds will shoot up a bit higher, still. But you definitely get a better yield and light distribution with LST! Also, I top my plants most of the time (unless I'm low on tent space, which I am now). I hear a lot about not topping autos, but I seem to get way bigger yields when I top. Check out my Northern Lights -- I topped that plant a couple times on the main stalk (nowhere else), and then I did LST. Good luck with the grow brother!

Plants not looking bad, you just topped so growth typically slows for a little while. You could raise light to between 20-24 inches and be safe. But if you want her to stay shorter(small tent etc) continue your process, give good water and feeding schedule and things will improve naturally.

Hey there, that is one big plant! Shes filling the whole space!😁 Anywho I see you put down defoliation as a tech, are you defoliating the top a bit as well as cleaning up the bottom? I know with humidity the more foliage in there the higher the humidity. I've also heard of watering in the evening when the temps are lower or using an ac unit as this dehumidifies unlike a swamp cooler, I'm sure if you're having really good airflow you'll continue to not see any rot. I'm seeing yours is 45%? I dont think that's too much to worry about, if you were higher in the 70+ range then it's a little more troublesome. She looks beautiful though, cant wait to hear the review once you're finished.

@kush_dog Hi there! You can start LST at the 3rd node, prune the stems from the first node (which are usually not productive ones) then you can bend the other stems, just a few inches a day. I'll be around, good luck with your JackHerrer!

@Stick! Would love your input on my Northern Lights. Can you check out my recent pics and let me know how far you think it is? I know it's probably hard without trichome pics, I'll try and get a couple now...

I love the jack strains. I'm so excited to watch your grow progress and finish. With the plant training, I think one of the positives to waiting until the 6th node is plant health, around there you'll see if that plant is thriving or struggling...a plant will respond to training best if its doing well for the most part, rather than battling deficiencies, toxicities, etc and then stressing it out with training too. I hope the plant treats you right all the way to the Smokey end. :)

Great looking roots there! I'm surprised they are so white, are you not using any B supplements? When I add that to my mix, they get a light tan tinge to them -- I thought it was root rot the first time I saw it!! Anyway, those roots look SUPER happy. Keep up the good work!

@Hempshire_Empire, mine tend to stay bushy and low until about weeks 4-5. Then they start to take off and stretch a bit. From my past grows, yours looks right on schedule. It looks really healthy, so you're doing something right!!

@@@@Chi_Town_White_Boy, Yeah this thing is flying! I'm gonna bring the light up because I really need it to get less bushy. I'm just messing around with topping since its my first grow, but I also have a small setup with a few different seedlings that I'm really experimenting on.

Great job on saving her after the housesitter neglect. She looks great and the nice defoliation on the bottom, perfect. 💚🌱😊

@Experimentgreen, Thank you! I’m slowly picking from the top but being selective about it. Really excited to see these sites fatten up!
