First Grow!

Start of week 2 (Day 8). Turned my lights up from 25% to 100% (420W). I think the lights are burning off more humidity than they were at 25% (seems pretty obvious). I had been seeing humidity in the mid to upper 40s during the day and the low 40s at night prior to upping the wattage on my lights. I had an old humidifier that I have added in hopes of raising my RH back up now that the lights are at 100%. Give this a day or so to resolve itself with this old humidifier before I go ahead and purchase a new one. Filter needs to be replaced so I ordered some online and should have them within the next day or so. Watered around the seedlings with 80ml of pH'd water. Temps were a little high and triggering the alarm temp (85F) on my AC Infinity Fan controller. I upped the ambient fan speed to 5 and this lowered the temps. I have AC in this room and opened the vents more to allow some cooler air in. I had the vents closed off initially in hopes of raising the temps a little during the day since they had seemed to be fluctuating between the low 70s and mid 70s throughout the day and night. As of this writing the temps have lowered down to 79F and RH has risen from 35% to 37%. So I seem to have things going in the right direction for now. I will continue to make updates as this week progresses on. ------------------------------------- Day 9 Plants appeared to be stretching a little bit. I had my light set about 30" inches from the plants. Lowered my lights to 20" inches to see if this keeps it from stretching so much. Recommended light distance for my LEDs is supposed to be 6" to 24", so I figured 20" should be okay. No signs of stressing the plant at this moment.
