Was getting kinda worried that these might not sprout. After putting them in soil, I only watered them with a single shot glass of pH'd water. After 3 days, when the soil looked dry, I used a small spray bottle of pH'd water to only moisten the top portion of soil. When I got up this morning, both of them finally popped through the soil. Will likely continue to water with only pH'd water for the next couple of weeks and then I will start introducing them to nutrients.
NOTE:
I have been running my lights at 25% but now that they have breached the soil, I may increase it.
Welcome to Grow Diaries. Be careful while a seedling. When I 1st got my light I got the bright idea to full blast it at 100%. I woke up to a dead fried seedling. So after researching what some experienced growers do. I now follow this schedule & it works great. Peep my buds. Lol. Although I do have a 1000 watt light (in the tent I'm referring to). Anyhoo, here's what I do with my light intensity schedule. *Week 1 - 3 of Veg. @ 25% Power (250 watts) **Week 3 of Veg to week 2 of flower @ 50% (500 watts). ***Week 3 - 6 of Flower @ 75% of lights power (750 watts). ****Week 6 - 8 flower & beyond @ 100% Full Power (1000 watts). Happy Growing!
@suntzu420, for sure. & you never know. Might be a tuff little girl that can take it right off the bat. Although after I fried a good strain I was looking forward to. Well, I felt the need to atleast warn you. *Once you get a few nodes you can slowly increase your light intensity. Good luck with your grow my man.
@KCatTheBat,
Many thanks for the reply. I went ahead and took your advice and lowered my lights back down to 25%. They seemed okay for 1 full day at 100%, but I'm trying to error on the side of caution. Again, many thanks for the advice.
