I decided to challenge myself on this grow and attempt to grow tall plants in a low(ish) tent of 160 CM. I'm working from regular seed, with 4 different plants as opposed to clones. To keep the plants low and bushy they were topped at 3 internodes, bottom 2 internodes removed so only one remains a bit higher up on the stem. The 2 remaining branches were trained horizontally across the top of a hex trellis I had previously 3D printed and were also cut/topped as soon as they had each produced 2 internodes, allowing for 8 branches to grow out of this construct. I placed the plants in flowering (12h) as soon as I performed the last topping action.
Now in the third week of bloom, two of the plants are at roughly 70 cm, one is lagging behind at 55 cm and the fourth is a real stretcher and has nearly reached the grow light with one of its branches, though all plants have now stopped growing so my goal of keeping these notoriously tall plants contained was reached without too much of a headache. I've got 4x8 = 32 potential bud branches coming out of a teency little 60x60x160 tent; I hope the harvest is decent! :)
