Day 1)
Have kept the seeds in slightly damp paper towel 24 hours ago.
Waiting for the first sign of life
Ph in water wasn’t astonishingly high
A sample tested 8.5.
Hopefully shouldn’t affect germination efforts.
Day 2) Two off the three seeds are showing taproots, will plant in soil in the next 24 hours. 3rd seeding looking dark and soaked, no sign of life as yet.
Day 3) No change
Day 4) One of the two seeds planted approx 24 hours ago hasn’t sprouted well, looks eger
With the second seed coming fourth as well
Kept under a 30W CFL as of now
will monitor tomorrow and move under grow lights soon
@Dahoola,hey man thank you so much
You literally took the time to type out that, big love on the effort bro.
Will take that into account
Probably move them into the leds soon
Will make an update!
@kazOG, I do not have much experience with CFL lamps myself. , “day light” CFL grow lights can be the ideal grow lights for clones and seedlings. Beware that CFLs are not very efficient or powerful compared to other lighting options, but for who are only just dipping their toe into the water of cannabis cultivation, they are a great starting point. you want at least two 40W 'daylight' CFLs to start (note: a 40W CFL is the same as a 150W incandescent equivalent, do not let them trick you). You'll be adding more CFLs as your plant grows and needs more light. I personally wouldn't wait to long to put them under your led set up. Happy growing bro!
@Dahoola,
The first two leaves have come out the soil I’ve kept the pod under a 30w CFL light about 5 inches away for 18-20 hours
Is this setup good enough in terms of light for the seedling
After it grows I plan to shift it under my led set up
But figured seedlings grow better for the first few days under a CFL
Would love your input on this
