Week 19 - 16 Feb 2019

Last week's weather has been slightly milder than the week before with only one day reaching 40DegC, mostly hovering round 30-33. Today lovely overcast predicted a mild 28 - hopefully the plants can relax a bit.

I'm feeding them Biobizz Grow @ 1ml/liter rainwater solution ph'd down from 7.0 to 6.5 about every day during this heat.

Reveg 3 has a bit of leaf yellowing - think maybe from overwatering. Other wise the other 2 are looking good.

Grow Questions
Simsalabim week 2 started grow question 4 months ago
This is the second outdoor season I'm growing, therefor still learning. I recently learned (youtube) about super soil and smart pots. Considdering the excessive summer heat 35degC + and planting subsoil and having to contend with invasive plant roots. Any general advise? Thanks

My general advice to combat heat during outside grows goes as follow's . When selecting a spot outdoors for your plants heat and humidity are something your going to have to take into high consideration . With that being said the ideal placement for a plant would be to place her near some tree's in such a way that she faces the sun directly in the morning around 12 noon it would sit in the shaded area of the tree for a couple of hours during the hottest part of the day until the sun starts to set again and it continues to get direct light . If you cant do it like this you can also try building a shading tent with 4 poles and a piece of screen wide enough to cover your whole plant and go past it a little bit . This will provide shade for you plant keeping it more cool during those hot summer days while still allowing the sun to beam in on them . This will also help protect against heavy rains and keeping your plant dryer which as an end result will prevent mould and pests . If hope the info provided here helps you on your journey to becoming a grow master !
