Introduction - Week 26|19 Summary -
Ensign's log, stardate 9666.86,
Ooo yea! Another grow cycle has been completed!
Harvested the 4x4 tent and now starting the dry phase! As usual, going to be logging the entire process until the final dry weight. Absolutely surprised on the harvested wet weights and am stoked for the final dry weights!
Been focusing my attention more on the 3x3 veg tent and plan to start prepping them for the next grow cycle! If all goes well, for the next grow log, plan to dive straight into scrogging and will only be vegging for a week or two before flipping to flower!
Thankfully the local weather seems to finally be cooling off. Still warmer than I’d like for drying, but gonna keep growing forward.
Since this week was mainly a dry week, may start trimming by the end of next week. This grow is flying by at warp speed!
Anyways, onwards to next week!

--- Garden is looking heat burnt, but buds are looking frosty!
--- Wow! Bud growth is really purpling up!
--- These plants look more than ready to be harvested!
--- May have went a bit far for #2, but stoked none the less.
- [23:03]: Checked down both fill tubes.
--- Both reservoirs were completely dry!
- [23:05]: Checked the Ecowitt soil moisture sensor data:
--- 37% - [CH01 EB1 - Garlic Budder #1]

--- Since tomorrow is harvest day, not going to water anything.
- [23:09]: Checked on the vegging 3x3 tent,
--- Ooo yea! Veg tent is continuing to rage with growth! Although I think the top is getting a bit of light burn.
--- Solo cups looked great and did not need watering.
- [23:13]: Checked the humidifiers.
--- Refilled the humidifiers with distilled water as needed.
--- Ooo yea!
--- Recently tried the batch of samples from the second trichome check and am overly hyped that there is a potential keeper! Getting definite fuel and earthy terpene profiles!
--- One.
--- More.
--- Day!
Day 02 - Tuesday - 08/27/24 - Total Days: 183
-----------------------------------
Daily Averages [~23:00]
- Temps: 87.2°F [30.7°C]
- Humidity: 72.5%
- VPD: 1.20 kPa
- Soil %: [37, 30, 37, 28]
-----------------------------------
- [17:42]: HARVEST DAY!
--- Ooo yea! Garden is looking ripe and ready for harvest!
--- Bud colas are just stacked and frosty!
--- Wow what an adventure this grow season has been!
--- The weather is still hot and humid in the garden, but local weather does start to feel like it’s cooling down. I think.
--- Gotta keep on growing!
--- Before the harvest, decided to adjust the tent environment for drying.
- [17:53]: Within the AC Infinity App,
--- For the Main Tent [4x4] controller,
--- Switched the 'Flower [12/12]' Schedule to 'Drying [0/24].’
--- For the Grow Light (Mars Hydro FC-6500):
------ The Mode is temporarily set to ‘Continuous On Mode’
------ The Max value is set to 1
--- For the Exhaust Fan (AC Infinity CloudLine T6):
------ The Mode to ‘Continuous Auto’
------ The Humidity HIGH trigger’s value is set to 70%
------ The Humidity buffer value is set to 3%
--- For the Humidifier (AC Infinity CloudForge T7):
------ The Mode is set to ‘Continuous Auto’
------ The Low value is set to 53%
------ The Minimum/Maximum value is set to 0/8
------ The Temperature buffer value is set to 3%
- [18:17]: Going to defoliate a bit.
--- Using a pair of clean trimmers,
--- Removed as many of the damaged leaves as possible.
--- Focused mainly on #2 and #4.
- [19:33]: Also defoliated the GGC2024 plant.
--- Removed the soil sensor, garden wires, and binder clips.
--- Time to film the final submission video!
- [20:12]: Using my phone’s camera, I filmed a video showing off the plant from all angles along with measuring of several buds. Also had to show the roots by lifting the plant out of the container.
--- For the final submission, also needed to take 8 photos.
- [20:35]: Finally, time to HARVEST!
--- Going to be harvesting all 6 plants, but will be logging weight data for only the main plants.
--- Using a basic hacksaw,
--- Cut the base of each plant and hung them upside down.
--- This time, going to do two trim passes. Going to try wet trimming.
--- Using a pair of clean trimmers, defoliated all of the damaged leaves.
--- Also removed most of the fan leaves.
--- Mulched the trimmings onto the top soil of both EarthBoxes.
--- Each plant was attached to the light using garden yo-yos.
--- Also raised the light up a bit more.
--- Pretty much raised it as high as it will go (just under the carbon filter).
--- Once the plants are fully dried, will do a second (dry) trim pass before curing in glass jars.
--- Okay! Time to weight the main 3 plants!
--- One at a time,
- [23:14]: Using a fish hook-scale,
--- Took the wet weight for #1:
------ She weighed 6.2oz (175.76g)
--- Took the wet weight for #2:
------ She weighed 9.3oz (263.65g)
--- Took the wet weight for #4:
------ She weighed 19.4oz (549.98g)
--- Also took the wet weight for the GGC2024 plant.
------ She weighed 1.1oz (31.18g)
--- #4 clearly is the winner for both overall health and biomass.
--- She weighs more than the combined total of the rest of the 3 phenos. Wow!
--- The 5-gallon fabric pot has crushed two 9-gallon EarthBoxes. Both surprised and impressed!
--- Getting even more hyped for the next grow! All the plants will be growing in 5 and 7-gallon fabric pots.
--- Anyways,
--- Since I’m harvesting a full tent, going to hang them stationary and won’t be using any spinners.
--- Just like the last dry cycle, going to be leaving the soil in the tent.
--- For air circulation, have a fan both above and below the drying plants.
--- The top fan is angled up towards the ceiling while the bottom fan is angled down towards the floor.
--- Hopefully this will create enough in-direct air movement to prevent molding or bud rot.
- [23:22]: Within the AC Infinity App,
--- For the Main Tent [4x4] controller,
--- Adjusted the 'Drying [0/24]' Schedule for the grow light.
------ Switched the Mode from ‘Continuous On’ to ‘Continuous Off’
--- Another grow cycle complete!
--- Now for the 10-14 day slow dry.
--- Let the drying begin!
- [23:32]: Checked on the vegging 3x3 tent,
--- Looking great my ladies! Growth is looking green for the most part.
--- Starting to see some deficiencies, but have been intentionally neglecting and starving these plants to stretch out the phase.
--- Still need to wait a good two weeks before placing these girls into flower. This may seem like a lot of time, but while working a fulltime job, my perception of the passage of time has been accelerated. Days tend to blend together and weeks have been flying by at warp speed!
--- Anyways,
--- Had to swap out the batteries for a soil sensor.
--- Also relocated and renamed two of the sensors.
- [23:47]: Checked the Ecowitt soil moisture sensor data:
--- 34% - [CH01 EB1 - Garlic Budder #1] - Null
--- 30% - [CH02 EB2 - Garlic Budder #2] - Null
--- 37% - [CH03 GFP - Garlic Budder #3]
--- 21% - [CH04 G01 - Original Garlic Budder #1]
--- 28% - [CH05 FPT - Garlic Budder #1]
--- 26% - [CH06 FPT - Original Garlic Budder #2]
--- 29% - [CH07 FPT - Garlic Budder #4]
--- 22% - [CH08 G01 - Garlic Budder #2]
--- Going to need to charge and swap out the battery again soon.
--- Solo cups looked great and did not need watering.
--- Going to water the plants in the 1-gallon pots.
- [23:55]: Filled a pump sprayer with 1 cup of distilled water.
------ Added a pinch of Quillaja Saponaria Extract [60]
--- Gave the sprayer a good shake before spraying the entire solution onto #2’s straw mulch.
--- Focused mainly on the straw.
- [+00:08]: Repeated this process again for the original #1 pheno.
--- Focused mainly on the straw.
- [+00:09]: Checked the humidifiers.
--- Refilled the humidifiers with distilled water as needed.
--- Smooth sailing for the next month or so. I hope.
--- During the next two-week dry cycle, going to shift my focus to the vegging ladies.
--- Also need to start assembling the scrog net soon.
--- Tomorrow begins the first day of drying!

-----------------------------------
- [22:10]: Night check on the 4x4 drying tent.
--- Day one of drying!
--- Looking quite nice!
--- No signs of mold.
--- Really glad that I decided to wet trim. Even though I’ll probably have less trim-shake for smoking, the wet trimming should make the dry trimming a lot easier.
- [22:12]: Checked on the vegging 3x3 tent,
--- Growing along green and happy! There is still some sort of leaf stress, but growth looks perky!
--- Top growth is still also a yellow. May need to raise the light up a bit more soon.
- [22:17]: Checked the Ecowitt soil moisture sensor data:
--- 34% - [CH01 EB1 - Garlic Budder #1] - Null
--- 30% - [CH02 EB2 - Garlic Budder #2] - Null
--- 36% - [CH03 GFP - Garlic Budder #3]

--- 24% - [CH05 FPT - Garlic Budder #1]
--- 23% - [CH06 FPT - Original Garlic Budder #2]
--- 26% - [CH07 FPT - Garlic Budder #4]
--- 36% - [CH08 G01 - Garlic Budder #2]
--- Obviously the values for CH01 and CH02 are now somewhat irrelevant, but the sensors are still in the EarthBoxes.
--- Time for another full round of watering! Going to water all three of the 5-gallon pots.
- [22:34]: Filled a pump sprayer with 5 cups of distilled water.
------ Added 1/64tsp of Quillaja Saponaria Extract [60]

--- Focused mainly on the straw.
- [23:20]: Repeated this process again for #1 and the original #1 pheno.
--- Focused mainly on the straw.
--- Still need to water all three solo cups, let’s go!
- [23:21]: Took the total weight of an original #1 pheno.
--- She weighed 238.6g
--- It’s been 5 days since her last watering.
--- Time to water!
--- While on a scale,
--- Gently misted her straw mulch with distilled water.
--- Tried to keep the top growth dry.
--- Misted 5-10 sprays. Waited a few seconds, then misted again.
- [23:57]: Repeated this process until the cup weighed 345.8g
--- There was no runoff.
--- Marked the watering date on the side of the cup.
--- Placed her back into the tent.
--- Repeated this process for the other original #1 along with the original #2 pheno.
--- Tried to keep the saturated weight around 325-330g
- [23:58]: Checked the humidifiers.
--- Refilled the humidifiers with distilled water as needed.

--- Day 2 of drying and still no signs of mold. Great!
--- Still warmer than preferred, but humidity levels look good.
- [18:15]: Checked on the vegging 3x3 tent,
--- Looking good my girls!
--- Top growth still looks a bit yellow.
--- But wow growth is just exploding! These ladies are getting too tall again!
- [18:18]: Decided to raise the light up.
--- Using the rope ratchets, gently raised the light up a few more inches.
--- The light is now just under the propagation dome.

[END OF WEEK 26|19]
Very detailed diary. I like ur heater. Something I don't need but definitely want 1 lol..
Look forward to seen how you adapt this to pushing your grows forward.
@gottagrowsometime,
Thanks growmie! Yea, sometimes I can get a bit too detailed, but this is all just for fun!
Been using Ac Infinity's Thermoforge T3 heater for just over 2 weeks and have to say that it's the best! Highly recommend! The unit easily heats a 4x4ft grow tent along with my 10x10ft lung room. Keep in mind that it never snows where I live, but it can get pretty cold in the winter (Southern California - US). What's most impressive is that in combination with the Cloudforge T7, my overall weekly VPD averages have been a lot more stable! Also the day to night temp swings have been greatly reduced (less than 10 degrees/percent difference on the weekly temps/RH averages).
I see you're running Build-A-Soil.. Great company, products, ethics! The dude has a sweet youtube channel as well worth checking out if you haven't. Cheers good luck!
