Week 1:
Popped a single bean. I fed diluted solutions of a very basic feed every day around the root base. So far she’s off to a great start. I’ll let her go to maybe five nodes before cutting her back to the third. All branches and growth below the third will be cut off as well. I’m exactly sure how I’m going to grow her out. It won’t exactly be a traditional mainline, but maybe it will. We’ll see. Just gonna feel it out!
Week 2:
She didn’t take any time adding some growth this week. I probably should have bumped up my feedings from seedling to vegetative dose, but she doesn’t seem to mind. We are going into week 3 and she will be on full feedings and foliar sprays daily. And spoiler alert, she has been topped! Stay tuned!
Her growth looks awesome this week. She barely noticed the topping I did. Just by her leaves alone, you can see her AK-47 dominance showing over her Indiana Bubblegum. I’m hoping her terps shout Bubblegum in the end 🙂.
I put the scrog net back together, but now I’m disappointed in myself. You can see towards the top of one of the pics all the slack that was left. I hate that because I pride myself on how tight my screens are. Sigh. Maybe I can mend it before it’s too late.
This week went pretty good. She was getting bushy so I did a pretty big defoliation session with her. Didn’t seem to bother her at all. The next 2 weeks will be my “transition” weeks before flowering. I’ll be adding Budcharge to her feeding schedule and amending my foliar sprays as well. She’s not looking too bad at all!
This week was a repeat of last week, cuz she grew out so much that I had to do another round of defoliation. Last weeks session didn’t slow her down even for a second. I’m going to try real hard not to do it again until week 2 or 3 of flower. We move on to week 6, which will be our last week of Veg!
Sorry for the late update. I spaced it. This was her last week in Veg! She got the flip at the end of week 6 and she looks good to go. She looks bushy in these pictures because I haven’t had a chance to tuck her branches under the scrog. Hopefully I can take care of that tomorrow. We still have time for training her under the screen. I’m excited to see those little pre-flowers 🙂
Week 1 of Flower is done. She looks strong. I’ll be ready to do one final session of defoliation at the end of week 2. Can’t wait to see those flowers!
Introduced Sonic Bloom into the feeding regime this week. I also did one final round of defoliation. Her branches are getting super tall. Node stacking looking superb. She’s so tall I’m getting concerned about light distance. I’ll be in the tent carefully taking of the light hangers and ratchet straps and most likely be using zip ties to mount the hood directly to the top of the tent. This will buy me about 6 more inches of distance from the the tops. Hoping the stretch stops now 😁
Another week down. This girl is definitely on auto pilot right now. I think her stretch is over. She has lots of beautiful tall colas. I have high hopes for her! I would usually lollipop when growth is so thick, but I really don’t want to disturb her anymore. I’m sure I’ll have a lot small buds growing under the canopy. No matter, like all my buds, they will all be turned into rosin in the end!
This week kinda flew by. She’s building bulk on her colas and crystals are shining thru. Lots of undergrowth, but I didn’t control her growth under the scrog as much as I should have. I pretty much let her spread out a bit after topping and let her go. At first I was worried this would hurt my yield, but judging from how those tops are stacking, I think we’ll be just fine.
I almost forgot to update. Can’t believe last week went so fast. Anyway, I ran into one good problem to have and a not-so-good problem. The good problem is that the tops are getting too heavy. I don’t have yo-yos but I do have miles of garden wire. It did the trick. The other problem is that the tips are bleaching white from being too close to the light. Nothing I can do at this point. That’s what I get for not keeping her low for longer in the first week of flower. I knew better 😖
She’s getting denser by the day. Trichomes are starting to get nice and white. This coming week will probably be the last week of normal feeding, then I will switch her the NFTG 2-week flush using only Herculean Harvest to ripen those buds up. I’m almost dreading this harvest. There’s a lot of it lol.
I had to tie many more branches up. Half of them were laying straight over all of a sudden. Extremely top-heavy and dense colas. Again, it’s a good problem to have! This finishes up the last week of normal feeding. Now, we start the 2-week Herculean flush. Then, harvest!
First week of the Herc Flush complete. One more week to go! Well, to fit the harvest in with my schedule it will have to be a week, plus 3 days. The rest of the colas are now toppled over due to their weight they have gained. Not much I can do for them now. They are being supported by the tent itself. They can make it a week!
Also, i suck at trichome pics. I managed to get one that didn’t completely suck.
Well this is it. The last week, plus 3 days. She got the chop yesterday so I’ll have the harvest posted soon! Sorry for the lack of pics. I was in the zone and didn’t take a lot before I cut he up.
Buds are always a night time after work thing with me, but I have yet to smoke. All reports on effects are from my girlfriend, for which this medicine is grown.
Pretty straight forward strain. Enjoyed watching the many colas form in flower. The aroma wasn’t as impressive as I was hoping, but I still have more beans to try. The yield I pulled (without even trying) was amazing tho. If you grow this one, be diligent and remove all lower growth sites during the first part of flower, otherwise you’ll spend a big chunk of your time in harvest dealing with popcorn. 4 oz were just popcorn, the other 7-1/2 oz were big, nice, chunky buds and colas. I also lost one cola to mold in the drying process. This was the first dry in my new location and I have different humidity issues to deal with that I wasn’t use to before. No biggie. Live and learn. Will grow this one again!
