Tropic Ozz and Oreoz Grow

LoopyTerps 2nd week of veg going well so far, next week they'll get transplanted in the final 20L autopot. Giving light feed of coco AB at EC 1300.

LoopyTerps All going well so far. Next milestone is to turn the autopot system on when the roots have reached the bottom of the pot. LED pannel set on 50% which equates to 328W.

LoopyTerps Plants have been topped. Autopot sytem will be installed next week.😉 pH ajusted with Platinium Ph Down acid.

LoopyTerps Starting Ec of my tap water is .2, using calmag until .4 is reached, then add nutrients to 1.5 mS/cm. I always measure the pH in the reservoir, not in the autopot tray. PPFD should be around 400 μmol/s/m2.

LoopyTerps I was hoping to flip to flower very soon but unfortunaltely I have spotted some deficiency markings on the leafs of the plant, and after checking the roots my fears proved correct : I have ROOT ROT issues. Giveaway was the calmag deficiency markings, pale color and drooping. Just like in my last run, which was my first with the Autopot system. I though the thick layer of clay pebbles at the bottom would be enough to prevent rot but i was wrong. Letting the reservoir open all time during veg was my mistake. To combat and cure the root rot I'm forced to turn the reservoir OFF for a while. Give a bit of dryback I have ordered Hydrogen peroxyde 12% to flush the roots when it will have dried a bit. From now on I'll be using H2O2 as a preventive measure in the res.

LoopyTerps All pots have been flushed with 40L of pH ajusted peroxyde solution at 3ml/L Pots have been out of the autopot tray to dry. Reservoir have been cleaned.* Recovering now before flip. It could take some times. Veg duration will be crazy...😅

LoopyTerps I'm carefully opening the res during daylight and turning off during the night to prevent the roots to sit in water too much during recovery. plants are drinking well which tells me root mass is recovered. New growth looks better. Next week should be the start of the flowering.

LoopyTerps Start of the stretching phase. Plants have bounced back. Not my first time curing root rot. Hoping for the best. The front left tropic is kinda small. Can't wait to see the flowers develop. I will defoliate in a week.

LoopyTerps The stretching phase is coming along nicely. I have some height variation between some phenos. I should be able to manage a nice canopee for flower regardless.
