xTaps Excited to kick off my first DWC experiment! Here’s the setup I’m running:
The setup:
70x70 Mars Hydro tent
4-inch Mars Hydro exhaust combo with carbon filter
Mars Hydro FC-1500 Evo 150W LED
62L Eurobox as a DIY DWC reservoir
9W 6000 L/H recirculation pump
4W 400 L/H aquarium air stone for oxygen
This is my first time trying DWC, so I’m keeping things simple. I’m feeding with the Advanced Nutrients pH Perfect line only—no extra additives.
The seed will germinate in a Kannabia Sproutly, sandwiched between two cotton pads moistened with 15 ml of tap water. The Sproutly sits on a heating mat set to 25 °C.
I decided not to use any substrate or filler in the net pot; instead, I’m using a cut neoprene ring. Once the seed has sprouted, it will go straight into a propagator designed specifically for hydroponic plants.

The seed already has a slight crack after less than 24 hours. I love the Sproutly.

So… a little taproot has appeared! Time to unpack the propagator. The opening turned out to be too small for the regular net pots with the neoprene collars, so I had to go without the “lid.”
Now the seed is floating in a moistened neoprene ring. I added a dome on top to keep the humidity high, and the small bubbler is already running nicely, after I extended the original 10 cm cable to about 2 m.
Now we’ll just keep an eye on the little captain. 🚢
If this method doesn’t work out, the seed will move into a rockwool cube and start off in a smaller net pot instead.

Update: Unfortunately, the previous Lemon Cherry Ice Cream seed didn’t make it. 🌱
Instead, I’ve now started a new seed in rockwool: Snowball × Spritzer by Criminal Seeds.
Genetics & Overview:
Snowball × Spritzer combines two top-tier strains:
Snowball (The White × Chem 4 OG) – Indica-dominant, frosty, powerful, body-focused
Spritzer (Runtz × Grape Pie × MAC) – fruity hybrid, energetic and creative
The result is an Indica-dominant hybrid with dense trichome coverage, complex terpene profile, and potent effects.
Aroma & Flavor: Diesel, citrus, berries, with creamy-floral undertones.
Effects: Clear-headed, focused, creative, uplifting; deep relaxation without heavy sedation. Perfect for creative sessions, chill evenings, or mindful unwinding.
Growing Info:
Indoor: Compact structure, frosty buds, very high resin production → ideal for rosin/extracts. LST or SCROG recommended.
Flowering Time: 8–10 weeks
Yield: Medium to high
THC: 25–30 %, CBD 2 %
Difficulty: Medium, robust strain
