With autoflowers, the earlier it’s done, the better, but you still need to wait until the plant is strong enough to handle the transfer.
Once they have 3 to 4 pairs of true leaves (not counting the cotyledons), they should tolerate it without too much root stress.
Of course, make sure they’re healthy at that point: leaves nice and green, stem straight and firm.
A few tips when you do it:
Water lightly about 24 hours before transplanting so the root ball holds together
Always handle the plant by the edge of the pot, never by the main stem
Choose pots of about 11 L, up to a maximum of 15 L
One last personal tip: next time, with autoflowers, skip the cup altogether. Once they’ve germinated, put them in peat pellets, and as soon as you see the root coming out of the bottom, you can plant them directly into their final pot 👍
ChrisNbran Well the race is on they are out the dirt I had to go in solo cup cause my fabric pots still ain’t here got delayed for some reason maybe today I’ll transplant them into 3 gallon pots later the gorilla cookies ain’t gonna make it I don’t think the hull got stuck on it and when I tried to pick it off I noticed that the taproot didn’t grow down it wrapped around the shell weird never seen that happen but I didn’t break it I was real careful got the shell off and back in the dirt so we’ll see I’ll up date with more pics just wanted to get something on here with the new strain remember #kygrow get you a discount threw fast buds until next happy growing peace “UPDATE” I got my Vicodin grow bags in the mail and transplanted out of the solo cups real carefully I should have waited but who can wait right it went smooth and everything is good I put one in happy frog soil and the other in fox farm ocean forest both filled like 2/3s of the pot and the rest in Mother Earth that way they can get some roots and when the roots hit that dirt they should explode and grow like hell that’s the theory anyway we’ll see peace
