DivineBuds420 This grow is a sponsored run. The seeds for this diary were kindly provided by Kannabia Seeds, and the nutrients are sponsored by BioTabs. Big thanks to both for the support – as always, everything shared here is based on my real experience and honest observations. I’ve actually been running BioTabs long before this sponsorship. It’s simply the system that fits my organic, low-stress growing style best. Once the soil is prepared properly, things become very hands-off — prepare well, then let the plant do its thing 🌱 The goal of this grow is exactly that: keeping it simple, organic and stress-free, focusing on healthy development and letting the genetics speak instead of pushing extremes. If you’re curious about the BioTabs system, you can use discount code GDBT420 for 15% off in the official BioTabs shop. Let’s get started ✨ Pink Gelato was germinated using the same paper towel method and environmental conditions as RS11. One seedling emerged with its seed shell still partially attached, most likely because it was planted slightly too shallow. To prevent further restriction, the shell was carefully removed by hand. During this process, one of the first true leaves was likely slightly damaged. This is now visible in somewhat irregular early growth, and the seedling is currently developing a bit slower compared to the others. Aside from this minor early issue, the plant remains stable and healthy. At this stage, the focus is on maintaining calm, stable conditions and allowing the seedling time to recover naturally. Early patience is key – plants often compensate very well for such small setbacks 🌸

DivineBuds420 Pink Gelato has entered the vegetative phase and continues to develop steadily. Despite the small setback during germination, the plant is growing consistently. Development is still slightly behind compared to RS11, but there are no signs of stress or further issues. As with RS11, no active work was needed during this week. Only occasional light misting with water was done to support hydration and maintain adequate humidity levels. Growth remains relaxed and stable, and the plant is slowly finding its rhythm again.

DivineBuds420 Not much has changed this week. Both plants are growing steadily, although the previously injured plant is slightly behind the other one. I expect this difference to balance out over time. You can clearly see where the leaves were damaged earlier, and they are now growing a bit twisted and deformed as a result. The larger plant is already showing strong indica traits with big leaves and thick fingers. During the week, the plants will most likely be transplanted into a larger pot and will receive their BioTabs treatment – including nutrients and beneficial microorganisms. Basically the whole organic setup. I’m confident they’re going to love it. I’ll be away on vacation for a few weeks after this update, so some diary entries may be posted with a slight delay. The plants will be taken care of and watered during that time, and progress will still be documented. Both plants were successfully transplanted into 3.5 liter pots and received the full BioTabs treatment, including microorganisms and nutrients. The substrate is based on reused and reconditioned soil with roughly 50% perlite mixed in. The base soil is BioBizz Light Mix. Since watering is done exclusively with osmosis water, about 7 g of dolomite lime per liter of soil was added to provide proper calcium and magnesium buffering. This run marks the first time following the BioTabs “just add water” strategy. The substrate was prepared accordingly and amended with Startrex and Silicium Flash. Before placing the plants into their new pots, Mycotrex was sprinkled directly into the planting hole and one BioTab was added to each pot. After transplanting, the leaves were lightly sprayed with Boom Boom Spray. The substrate was then watered with osmosis water mixed with Bactrex. Everything went smoothly and the plants handled the transplant very well. From here on, it’s all about letting the biology do the work.

DivineBuds420 This update comes while I’m still away on vacation, so I’m relying on the information and photos from the person taking care of the plants. It seems the watering schedule was missed slightly at first and the plants went a few days without water. At the same time there was also an issue with the heating in the room, which caused temperatures to drop more than expected. Inside the tent temperatures were between about 17 and 20°C, while outside the tent they fluctuated between 14 and 21°C. Humidity also dropped at times and occasionally fell well below 50%. These conditions caused some stress for the plants. One of the Pink Gelato seedlings was already a bit behind from the beginning due to the small issue during germination and seemed to struggle more under these circumstances. The other plant handled the situation better and continues to grow, although some mild stress symptoms can be seen. The substrate used during transplant was recycled and reconditioned soil based on BioBizz Light Mix with a high percentage of perlite. It is possible that the soil still contained slightly more nutrients than expected, which could explain some very light tip burn visible on the leaves. For now the focus is simply on stabilizing the environment and maintaining a consistent watering schedule while I’m still away.

DivineBuds420 This update still comes while I’m away on vacation, but conditions in the tent have improved compared to the previous week. Watering has become more consistent again and the overall environment seems much more stable now. Both Pink Gelato plants have resumed growing, although the difference in height between the two is now clearly visible. One plant developed faster from the beginning and continues to stay ahead, while the smaller one is still lagging behind. The slightly burned leaf tips have become a bit more noticeable over the past days, mainly on the lower leaves. This likely points to a slightly higher nutrient availability in the recycled soil than initially expected. Despite this, both plants appear stable and have continued their growth again after the earlier stress. At this point I suspect the smaller plant will probably not fully catch up to her sister. If a more even canopy becomes necessary later on, it will most likely have to be achieved by training or manipulating the larger plant rather than expecting the smaller one to close the gap naturally. For now the focus remains on maintaining stable conditions and letting the plants continue their development.

DivineBuds420 I’m finally back home and able to take care of the plants myself again. Overall the Pink Gelato plants handled the situation during my vacation relatively well. While there was some stress caused by the earlier watering gap and the unstable environmental conditions, both plants are still alive and continuing their growth. The difference in height between the two plants is now clearly visible. One plant developed more vigorously from the beginning and continues to stay ahead, while the smaller one is still lagging behind. The slightly burned leaf tips are still visible, mostly on the lower leaves, which likely confirms that the recycled soil contained a bit more nutrient availability than expected. However the plants seem to tolerate it reasonably well and growth has continued. Now that I’m back and everything is under control again, the focus is simply on maintaining stable conditions, proper watering and letting both plants continue their development. Sometimes a grow doesn’t unfold perfectly evenly, but that’s part of working with living plants.

DivineBuds420 Not too much happened this week, but the plants clearly continued their development. Both Pink Gelato plants have grown noticeably in height and are now starting to form their side branches. The leaves show a nice, deep green color and overall the plants look healthy. The slightly burned leaf tips that appeared earlier have improved quite a bit. On the newer leaves near the top they are now only very lightly visible. Roots are slowly starting to grow out of the drainage holes at the bottom of the pots, so it looks like it will soon be time for the next transplant into larger containers. The smaller plant is still clearly lagging behind the other one. I’m currently considering whether to remove her from the tent and maybe let her grow on a windowsill and later on the balcony. That would leave me with two plants in the 70x70 cm tent (1 Pink Gelato and 1 RS11), which might actually create a more balanced setup. Both plants would have more space to develop and the risk of one plant overshadowing the others would be reduced. If I decide to keep both Pink Gelato plants in the tent, I will probably have to do some training later on to create a more even canopy. What do you think, growmies?

DivineBuds420 Pink gelato is still not fully recovered and still looks a bit stressed, but I decided to take the risk and move forward anyway. Both plants were originally planned for this run, but I removed the smaller one and kept the stronger plant to stay focused and avoid an uneven setup. She was transplanted into her final 8.5L pot and moved into the 70x70 flowering tent. The substrate was prepared the same way as before using the BioTabs “just add water” approach. Once everything is set up properly, the idea is to let the soil life take over and keep things simple with just water. Per liter of soil (recycled BioBizz Light Mix with ~50% perlite): 7 g dolomite lime 5 g Startrex 5 g Silicium Flash Into the planting hole: 5 g Mycotrex 1 BioTab Watered in with: 1 g Bactrex dissolved in water

DivineBuds420 She’s still showing some stress, likely from the nutrients, but little by little she seems to regain balance. During inspection this week I found what looks like thrips larvae, so immediate action was needed. The most affected lower leaves and small shoots were removed, and the plant was treated multiple times with a neem oil solution, covering both the top and underside of the leaves as well as the substrate. To reduce the chance of reinfestation, the stem was also lightly treated with oil to make it more difficult for pests to reach the upper parts of the plant. I've set up yellow and blue sticky traps as well. Now it’s just about staying consistent and keeping things under control.

DivineBuds420 Not much happened this week. I’ve been checking the plant regularly for any signs of thrips, but everything looks clean so far. Seems like the neem oil treatment was effective. To be safe, I’ll continue with another round in the coming weeks. The grow definitely feels a few weeks behind due to the earlier stress, but no matter the setbacks, we always keep pushing and make it work – as usual.

DivineBuds420 She’s recovering slowly, but still not fully there yet. To be on the safe side, she received another round of neem oil. Even with some stress still present, I decided to move forward and apply some training. She was topped and defoliated to begin opening up the canopy and work towards filling the space.

DivineBuds420 She’s slowly finding her rhythm again and looks more stable overall. This week I turned on the AutoPot system, so watering should stay consistent from here on. I also started some LST to spread her out and begin filling the space. A light defoliation was done and the first net installed to help shape the canopy. On top of that, I fixed an issue with the light. It was flickering, most likely due to a faulty potentiometer. After replacing it, everything is running smoothly again.

DivineBuds420 After the plant recovered and the lighting issue was sorted, growth picked up noticeably again. I made the call to switch to 12/12 this week. With limited vertical space and some time already lost, it made sense to move into flower now. She’s responding well and beginning to fill the tent with a dense layer of foliage. Really curious to see how the stretch will play out.

DivineBuds420 Pink Gelato has really started to take off and is filling the canopy quickly. Things are getting crowded again, but that’s business as usual. The first signs of flowering are slowly becoming visible now too. This week I removed a few larger fan leaves and some smaller shoots to open things up a bit. The goal is to keep humidity under control and allow better light penetration without stripping too much foliage away. I also installed a second net to help manage the structure and support the branches later on. At the end of the week the plants received 1 g of Bactrex dissolved in RO water to help refresh microbial life in the substrate. The smaller Pink Gelato that was removed from the tent has been sitting on the balcony for a few weeks now. Despite night temperatures dropping close to 0°C at times, she recovered surprisingly well and keeps growing happily. She also received some Bactrex this week. For next week I’m preparing a PK booster compost tea.

DivineBuds420 This week Pink Gelato really started filling out the tent and things became crowded again very quickly. I removed a number of larger leaves and some shoots, while also shaping a few branches to create better airflow and improve light distribution throughout the canopy. Lowering humidity is also part of the idea, although the surrounding climate still has the biggest influence there. A compost tea was brewed this week and each plant received about half a liter, including the smaller Pink Gelato on the balcony. Despite cold nights and even a hail shower, she keeps pushing forward without much trouble. She’s leaning slightly from the strong wind exposure on the balcony, but otherwise doing surprisingly well. To provide additional oxygen to the roots besides the air stones running in the AutoPots, I sometimes switch the watering system off temporarily. The stretch appears to be mostly over now, and flower development is starting to accelerate noticeably.

DivineBuds420 The stretch seems to be finished now and the plant has stopped growing taller. All the energy is shifting into the flowers and the first proper layer of trichomes is starting to develop across the buds and nearby leaves. The aroma is also becoming stronger and more noticeable every day. Even with regular defoliation, the canopy keeps getting thick again surprisingly fast.

DivineBuds420 Another light defoliation was done this week to keep the canopy under control. The flowers keep stacking up, trichome coverage is increasing noticeably and the smell continues to intensify day by day. So far everything is looking quite solid apart from the early stress and nutrient issues.

DivineBuds420 This week I unexpectedly spent some time abroad, but a plant sitter kept an eye on everything. Coming back at the end of the week, the flowers had clearly continued to bulk up and resin production kept increasing. The aroma is getting stronger and the buds are starting to take shape properly now. Overall the plant is looking quite good at this stage and continues to develop steadily.
