Daz_Method First Week after repotting into the 2L pot, using a 100% organic soil mix I made myself with dry organic amendments only, no bottled organic products. This run is a seed test to hunt for a true keeper, but I follow my own process: I don’t flip seeds straight away. I pop ~10 seeds, veg them for a few weeks in ~3L pots, train them to match my style, and do an early pre-selection (anything that doesn’t respond well gets culled). Then I clone everything and run the actual hunt from clones, which speeds up the work and makes comparisons cleaner. For this round, since I didn’t have enough strong keeper candidates, I also started another variety, the tent will be split between Easy Money and Blue Honey. Quick note: this may not be an ultra “clean” run, because it’s a testing run. I’m looking for the plants that truly stand out, so I’m running a solid baseline recipe (base mix + basic top-dress schedule) rather than dialing each plant perfectly. Some may get a bit hungry, and some may not show a textbook senescence, that’s normal here. The goal is to take detailed notes, correct course next session, refine the recipe, and confirm whether the best candidates truly perform as keepers.

Daz_Method Week 3 of veg: everything is going well. Double topping was done mid-week (last week before the final transplant into 12L pots). Quick reminder: there are three different Easy Money plants in this run — some are already starting to stand out with the structure I’m looking for, while others are not. We’ll do a proper recap next week at transplant time. Small issue: a few fungus gnats showed up after the medium stayed a bit too moist. Nothing dramatic, but I’m addressing it now with BTI + nematodes + predatory mites, and by getting back to a clean wet/dry cycle to break the larvae.

Daz_Method Week 5 of veg: repotted into the final 12L pots using a 100% organic soil mix I made myself with dry organic amendments only — no bottled organic products. Watered with compost tea, and bent/trained the plants to shape the canopy for a SOG setup. For this keeper hunt (if we find one), we have three Easy Money candidates: EM1, EM2, and EM3. Structurally, all three responded well to my double topping so far — we’ll see how they develop from here. None is clearly standing out at this stage. Root-wise, EM2 and EM3 have slightly stronger root mass than EM1. Let’s see how the next weeks unfold.

Daz_Method Week 1 of flower: just flipped them today. A second veg compost tea watering was applied, along with some light LST using plant benders to open up the canopy and shape a better SOG structure. EM01 and EM02 are showing a slight upward curl on the young leaves, likely due to humidity being a bit low for this stage (around 50%). This happens fairly often with some modern lines — it’s a mild, localized stress, but nothing alarming. The plants are still healthy, green, and actively growing.

Daz_Method Week 2 of flower: everything is going well and the stretch is accelerating. A top-dress was applied to support the increased demand during this phase, and I’m still gradually raising light intensity. We should start seeing the first flowers appear within the next 4–5 days. Small observation: EM01 and EM02 are still the two standouts so far, although the slight stress on the young shoots is still there and a bit annoying.

Daz_Method Week 3 of flower: the flowers have appeared, and we’re moving into the end of the stretch — bulking should begin soon. I did a light defoliation to open up secondary sites, and also cleaned up a few lower or unnecessary side shoots that would have drained energy from better-positioned tops. Light is currently at 75%; by the end of the week it should be at 100% and around 25 cm from the canopy.

Daz_Method Week 4 of flower: Last light defoliation was done, along with removing the last unnecessary lower shoots. A wood ash top-dress was added to support bulking with extra PK, and the light is now running at 100% intensity.

Daz_Method Week 5 of flower: I finally got the fungus gnats under control with a mix of nematodes, BTI, and predatory mites, along with a full daily cleanup to remove as many adults as possible — huge relief. On the cultivation side, bulking is now well underway. One important note for this session: EM03, which had looked like one of the most promising candidates, was inspected and found with at least 10 hermaphroditic bananas (male sex expression). I almost threw it out immediately, but I decided to let it finish and check it daily for any new bananas. For now, it seems clean again, but to be clear: EM03 is no longer part of the keeper test. Even if it looked promising, I can’t keep a plant that throws that many bananas as a keeper. It’s officially out of the selection, and the mother plant has already been destroyed.

Daz_Method Week 6 of flower: not much to report this week. Bulking is well underway, and I had to add a few stakes here and there for support. The run is staying on track, with about four weeks left to go. The fade has clearly started on some phenos, which is normal in this context. Since this is a keeper hunt, I’m not trying to smooth out every flaw — I mainly want to see how they behave on my generic baseline setup.

Daz_Method Start of Week 7 of flower: senescence has begun, and a lot of brown pistils are starting to appear. In my opinion, most of them will likely finish in about 8 full weeks of flowering, with maybe 1–2 going to 9 weeks, but I still have some doubts — we’ll see. I’ll start plain-water irrigations this week.

Daz_Method Start of Week 8 of flower: senescence is clearly setting in — the plants are starting to shut down and you can see it across the board. They’re also drinking less now. In my opinion, they still have about one solid week of flowering left, maybe a bit more for some phenos.

Daz_Method Start of Week 9 of flower: you can clearly see the end is near. On several plants, the pistils already suggest they’re done because they’ve all turned brown, but after checking the trichomes under the microscope, there are still a few clear ones left and almost no amber yet. So I’m giving them another 2–3 days to mature, then I’ll chop. One thing is becoming more and more clear: I don’t think we’ll find a keeper in this session. Nothing really stands above the rest in any category. I’ll wait for the final result after drying, but honestly, I don’t expect my opinion to change much.
