Daz_Method Week 3 of veg: steady, uneventful growth, everything is cruising. No major interventions this week, just keeping the living soil evenly moist, the climate stable, and letting the plants build structure and root mass.

Daz_Method Week 4 of veg (last week in 2L before the final 12L transplant): overall they’re doing well, but it’s not as dialed in as I wanted. I was away for a week, so I couldn’t work the plants the way I normally do. The last double topping (to lock in 4 main branches) should have been done at the end of Week 3, but it ended up happening at the start of Week 4. That delay meant the plants spent energy building extra growth that I later removed — they keep pushing whether you’re there or not. Another small issue: they were watered a bit too heavily while I was away. The plants didn’t complain, but a rich, consistently moist organic medium is heaven for fungus gnats, so a few have moved in. I’ll manage it before flower with BTI + nematodes + predatory mites, and by re-establishing a proper wet/dry cycle to break the larvae cycle. So overall: a couple of minor setbacks and some unwanted guests, but nothing serious — note to self: don’t disappear for a week again 😅

Daz_Method Week 5 of veg: repotted into the final 12L pots using a 100% organic soil mix I made myself with dry organic amendments only — no bottled organic products. Watered with compost tea, and bent/trained the plants to shape the canopy for a SOG setup. Everything is going smoothly; we’ll give them another 7–8 days of veg, then flip to flower.

Daz_Method Week 1 of flower: just flipped them today. A second veg compost tea watering was applied, along with some light LST using plant benders to open up the canopy and shape a better SOG structure.

Daz_Method Week 2 of flower: everything is going well and the stretch is accelerating. A top-dress was applied to support the increased demand during this phase, and I’m still gradually raising light intensity. We should start seeing the first flowers appear within the next 4–5 days.

Daz_Method Week 3 of flower: the flowers have appeared, and we’re moving into the end of the stretch — bulking should begin soon. I did a light defoliation to open up secondary sites, and also cleaned up a few lower or unnecessary side shoots that would have drained energy from better-positioned tops. Light is currently at 75%; by the end of the week it should be at 100% and around 25 cm from the canopy.

Daz_Method Week 4 of flower: Last light defoliation was done, along with removing the last unnecessary lower shoots. A ash top-dress was added to support bulking with extra PK, and the light is now running at 100% intensity. Everything is on track so far, and it should carry through the full 9-week flowering cycle without issues.

Daz_Method Week 5 of flower: I finally got the fungus gnats under control with a mix of nematodes, BTI, and predatory mites, along with a full daily cleanup to remove as many adults as possible — huge relief. On the cultivation side, bulking is now well underway. Leaf color is starting to lighten gradually, which in my view is slightly early for a 9-week flowering run. For the next cycle, I’m considering adding a small top-dress around Day 15 of flower to delay the fade by about a week — we’ll see. The smell is already getting seriously strong too; as soon as you enter the grow room, the Amnesia aroma is everywhere.😀

Daz_Method Week 6 of flower: not much to report this week. Bulking is well underway, and I had to add a few stakes here and there for support. The run is staying on track, with about four weeks left to go. The smell is also starting to get much stronger as soon as you walk into the grow room.

Daz_Method Start of Week 7 of flower: the buds are swelling nicely and senescence is well underway. Since I find them a bit too light in color with still around 21 days to go, I slightly reduced the light intensity so they can finish more comfortably without fading too hard too fast. I dropped the light from 100% down to 80%. For the next run with this cultivar, I’ll definitely need to do the second top-dress around Day 15 of flower to avoid running into the same issue again.

Daz_Method Start of Week 8 of flower: with the fade already quite advanced and about 15 days still to go, I reduced the light intensity again to 80% so they can make it to the end more comfortably. I’ll only switch to plain water during the last 7 days before harvest any earlier and they would likely fade too hard and collapse before the finish.

Daz_Method Start of Week 10 of flower: they’re ready to be chopped. Overall, this run went well — the buds filled out nicely and the senescence came in properly. These plants are definitely on the hungry side though, so next time I’ll need to add an extra top-dress around Day 15 of flower or so to avoid an early fade. The plants have now been cleaned up from their large fan leaves and hung in the dark to dry. Time for a slow 2–3 week dry, followed by another 2–3 weeks of curing. See you again in about 6 weeks for the final harvest result.
