PurpleBeen Germination Stage
A simple DIY propagation setup was used, consisting of a plastic takeout container with small perforations for airflow. Seeds were placed between paper towels, pre-soaked and properly drained to maintain a moist (not saturated) environment.
Lighting conditions are simulated using a tablet-based sunrise/sunset cycle.
⚠️ Note: Strain identification is currently uncertain due to lack of labeling. Based on placement, the seed under the dome is likely Strawberry, otherwise it may be GMO.
DWC Preparation:
The hydroponic solution has been prepared in advance to support early development.
• Nutrients: 420 Hydroponics (Grow / Bloom Short / CalMag)
• EC: ~450 ppm
• pH: 5.75–6.0
Soil Preparation:
• Water pH: 5.8–6.1
Conditions are stable and suitable for successful germination. Monitoring will focus on moisture balance and early sprout emergence.

PurpleBeen Week 1 – Vegetative Stage
Plants are in early vegetative development and showing healthy initial growth. Environmental conditions have been adjusted with the addition of a humidifier, raising humidity levels to approximately 60% to better support this stage.
Repotting was completed on 11/03/2026, allowing for improved root space and continued development.
DWC System:
The system is stable, with strong early root development observed. Roots are white and expanding بسرعة, indicating good health and oxygenation.
• pH: 5.9 (corrected with 4 ml pH Up) ✅
• Nutrients: 12 g Grow (vegetative formula)
• EC: ~700 ppm ⚠️
Soil Plants:
• Watering: ~500 ml per irrigation
• pH: 5.8
• Feeding: Fertilized once every three waterings
• Topping: completed ✅
• Repotted on 11/03/2026
Overall, plants are healthy and establishing well, with strong root activity and stable environmental conditions.

PurpleBeen Week 2 – Vegetative Stage (Update)
Plants continue to show strong structural development, with good node spacing and overall vigor. Low Stress Training (LST) is ongoing, and topping has now been performed to further optimize canopy distribution.
The DWC system position has been adjusted. Horizontal root development is now visible, indicating the plant is entering a more aggressive growth phase. Airflow has been improved with the addition of a fan to support plant health and stem strength.
⚠️ During training/topping, a branch was damaged. It was immediately treated using tape and a natural seal (honey). Recovery is in progress and will be monitored closely.
Nutrient strategy is transitioning further into vegetative feeding.
DWC System (≈ 24L reservoir):
• Reservoir refreshed on 16/03/2026
• Nutrient solution: 350–500 ppm ⚠️
• pH: 5.7 ✅
• Growth is accelerating, supported by active root expansion
Soil Plants (2L pots):
• Vegetative feeding has been initiated
• Transition into a more nutrient-demanding phase underway
Overall, plants are healthy and entering a phase of rapid vegetative expansion.

PurpleBeen Week 3 – Vegetative Stage
Plants are developing a strong structure, with good node spacing and overall vigor. Low Stress Training (LST) has been initiated (see photos) to improve canopy shape and optimize light distribution.
Nutrient intake is being gradually increased as the plants transition into a more demanding vegetative phase. The last irrigation was set at 400 ppm with a pH of 5.9.
⚠️ A minor issue occurred during training: a branch was partially broken. It was immediately supported and secured using tape and a natural seal (honey). Recovery will be monitored closely.
DWC System:
The system was fully cleaned on 24/03/2026. Since then, the plant has clearly entered a rapid growth phase.
• Nutrient solution: ~700 ppm (Grow – vegetative formula)
• pH: stable at 5.8
Overall, development remains healthy with strong growth momentum.

PurpleBeen Week 4 – Vegetative Stage
Overall development is very positive. The DWC system continues to outperform the soil-grown plants in terms of growth rate and vigor. However, both soil plants are responding well, particularly following recent training, with healthy structure and recovery.
DWC (≈ 20L reservoir):
• EC: 600–750 ppm
• pH: 5.5–5.90
• Nutrients: 10 g Grow (vegetative formula)
• CalMag: 9.5 ml
• Additives: Rootshoot + Trychozyme (1 g)
Soil (1L pots, x2):
• EC: ~500 ppm
• pH: 6.15
• Nutrients: Organic Grow (0.56 g, switched from Super Grow)
• CalMag:
• Additives: Humic/Fulvic acids
I moved the plant on the left and raised it to match the SCROG canopy. It was previously in another tent, but the older plant was lagging, so I placed it in its own veg space. I believe it’s a GMO strain, with 1–2 more weeks of SCROG before switching to flower.

PurpleBeen Week 5 (Vegetative Stage)
This week I focused on installing the SCROG net and training the plant for horizontal growth. The goal is to maximize light penetration and create an even canopy before switching to flowering.
I started spreading the branches under the screen, gently tucking shoots to fill the available space. The canopy is beginning to level out, but it still needs a bit more time to become fully even.
The main challenge right now is managing the DWC is a sleeping monster😈 and clearly outperforms soil-grown plants. pH fluctuations have been noticeable, ranging between 5.0 and 5.8./ 600-800 ppm. I’ve been adjusting using pH down and pH up solutions to keep it within the optimal range. Stability will be key going into the next phase.
The plant is healthy overall, with strong growth and good color. Root development looks solid, and oxygenation in the reservoir is on point.
Next step will be to continue filling the SCROG net and prepare for the transition to flowering. I’ll likely switch once the screen is around 70–80% full.
Focus next week:
- Continue canopy training and tucking
- Stabilize pH fluctuations
- Monitor space under the net
- Prepare for flowering transition
Overall, good progress this week with structure and training coming into place.

I’m going to empty it and give only water (for the Strawberry Lemonade) for a maximum of 2–3 more days, then harvest it. As for the plants in soil, the one on the left (GMO Cookie) isn’t completely finished yet, so I’ll keep giving it plain water for a while. The one on the right (unknown strain), I think I’ll harvest right after the last heavy watering — around 34 liters to flush the pot using FlashClean, then harvest.
And wtf, the difference between the two is insane — they’re not even comparable 🤣🤣🤣. The DWC is giving the soil grow a real spanking, even though I prefer the terpene profile of the soil-grown one.
Very easy strain to grow, highly resistant and especially well suited for DWC. It handled my mistakes without any issues. The terpene profile is citrusy, sweet, and fruity. Once dried and cured properly, it provides a pleasant effect without causing headaches.
