UnorthadoxDude This one is Barney's Farm Triple Cheese. Someone sent me three beans... one has poppee so far. I will keep the strongest plant and kill the rest. The plan this time is to stay simple and cheap. This will be a soil grow, a mix of cheap peat free compost, perlite and coarse grit One of three has sprouted so far, hopefully the other two pop, but I'm only keeping the strongest one.

UnorthadoxDude Hello and welcome to week one for this baby Triple Cheese. Many people consider the first two weeks to be the seedling stage and not really vegetative stage but ai always run day one of veg as when the seedling has sprouted and opened its cotyledons. More photos to come each day in the early weeks. Day 2 brings two late sprouters joining the party. Do I kill half or run a sort of SoG 2 per pot? One of the two younger babies has damped off. It's not been going well. I think I've given them too much light. I have raised the light by about 20cm and reduced power to 50%

UnorthadoxDude Week two sees these babies way behind where they should be. You can see bad symptoms on the younger leaves, I think this was caused by light being too close. Since I raised the light a few days ago things seem better, luckily these are photos so there is plenty of time for them to recover. When I repot I will probably kill the little one. Update day 14 (18/3/26) Have transplanted into 1 gal fabric in Plagron 70/30 coco/perlite mix and fertigated with the new experimental nutrients and CalMag. Let's see what happens.

UnorthadoxDude Day 29. Plants looking good but some signs of P lockout/uptake disruption, likely due to CalMag over correction. Repot needed... time to decide if I should keep two or one and if the former whether to pot alone or together. Have today flushed with 10ml A & 10ml B and 1ml CalMag Day 35: I've transplanted into final pots. Not happy with progress or vigour so I have today switched to Shogun nutes. From here I am in familiar territory with all except the light. Will take a week for this girl to recover from the shock of transplant. I killed off the smaller plant as it had become root bound.

UnorthadoxDude Hello there! Here we are a little over a weel later and look at the response from these plants. Just goes to show how critical the right nutrition is in coco. Very happy with them now, though it's taken longer than I'd have hoped, I feel we are very close to being able to flip these girls. This Triple Cheese is looking great. She has responded well to training. I will do final pre-flip LST tomorrow and then flip them sometime next week. Maybe on the final day of week 8. 17th April 2026

UnorthadoxDude Day 55 - 26th April This Triple Cheese is going well. I forgot to do a before shot, but today I did a brutal defoliation, LST and HST training. I will be flipping very soon, scrog net is up. Day 56 27th April 26: Have changed timer to be on 1800-0600 and off between 0600-1800 so the first 12 hour darkness period will be tomorrow (28th April, day 57). Therefore this has been the final week of veg.
