WeefBellington One seed popped out of the surface 2026-03-01, and the other on the 4th.
I don't have domes so they are in a tent I've got other plants in, tent is currently at 24C & 51%, which is more or less typical since they went in.
I had the solo cups covered with ziplock bags for germination, and once the seedlings were out of the soil I cut the tops off but left the bags taped to the cups, and I've been misting the sides of the bags, trying to keep a higher humidity and little micro climate. Genuinely have no idea how effective this is.
For the next month and a half or so they will be kept in this tent until my other grow finishes up and I move them, so the light in here is an XS1500 on 18/6 at 100%. I've got the seedlings just on the edge of the lights footprint and had it about 24" away, but one of the seedlings was looking leggy so i lifted them up and now it's at about 20"

WeefBellington Not much to report, growing fine. Shorter one is three inches, four inches for the taller one. Removed the bags I've been spraying for humidity today, as the leaves got big enough that they were coming into contact with them now. Think I've watered once.

WeefBellington Have changed things up a bit here, not sure how long it'll last before I change again or if I keep as is for a bit.
Seems like I miss-judged how fast these plants would germinate and grow, and also how much longer for my flowering plants to finish. I thought the timing would be pretty good that I could keep these ones in their solo cups and in my vegetable tent until my other tent was free, but earlier this week I took the upper solo cup out of the one it was sitting in to dump runoff, and both plants had roots coming out of the drainage holes - one of them was about five inches long. This is only my third grow so this isn't something I have had to deal with. I was kind of nervous about the big long root not being in soil, so yesterday I bought some stuff and transplanted.
I put them into Ocean Forest soil, if I had to guess I'd think a gallon. I put them in two gallon bags but rolled down the tops of the bags to give the plants a bit more room.
I bought an AC Infinity humidity dome with S16 lights for seed starting. Don't really have the space in my vegetable tent now that they are in bags, so I have popped them in the humidity dome to see how they do in there.
I dont have a way to measure the light so I am guessing a bit here. They are about 4" away from the lights and I have them set to 7, 18/6 schedule.
On the one hand, I am skeptical that the lights are strong enough to be effective for the plants at this stage. On the other hand, I don't love the idea of having them so close on full blast. So I'll be monitoring over the next little bit and if anybody has some advice here I'd love to hear it.
No need to recommend Photone - I'm already aware, I just need to find some 22lbs paper for a diffuser.
Even with all vents open humidity was a bit high. I have the lid on sort of sideways to allow more air in, right now its sitting at 22C and 58%. Im okay with this right now because I just transplanted yesterday, but I'm going to see if I can bring humidity down a bit still.
Last thing I dont love about this setup is lack of fan. Want to get some air movement going to build up the stem strength.
So, we will see how this all goes. If I cant get humidity down, if light isn't strong enough or if I stress over lack of fan, I'll take them out and pop them under a Viparspectra P1000 I have over a desk (no tent). That's probably the right move anyway, but I just got the humidity dome and am curious so I'll give it a shot.

WeefBellington The humidity dome did not pan out - lights not nearly strong enough I don't think. Growth was noticible every day or so but stalled out in there so I rearranged things and got them back in the old tent and they went right back to growing.
On the 24th I topped them both with the intention of mainlining and today when the new growth tips grew out more I started training them.
I haven't properly mainlined but it didn't feel like there was enough growth to strip everything down, so i stripped one and left the other to compare. So far they are looking like they are still growing out at about the same rate.
The one I didn't strip has some discolouration now on the lower fan leaves. Could be a few things but my best guess is light burn. I have them on the side of the light instead of right under so I moved it down closer but the discolouration came pretty quick. Moved it back up now and will monitor.

WeefBellington Repotted to final 5 gallon pots. Today topped one of the plants again and cut off the rusty looking leaves on the other. It got way worse, but only on the two biggest fan leaves. When I repotted them, the roots had barely spead out from the original solo cups I had them in so I'm thinking maybe I had packed in the soil too hard last transplant and the one plant had used up all the nutrients.
Didn't top the one with the rusty leaves because it hasn't grown out enough and I didn't want to stress it too much. Hopefully it bounces back quickly now that I've raked out the roots a bit.

WeefBellington Plants moved into the main tent and under the EVO 3 now. Got some dying leaves and others with bright tips, I think I damaged the roots a bit last repotting.
Hard to know what the issue was, I made too many and too frequent changes due to lack of space and trying to manage things the last few weeks. Hopefully now that they aren't moving around and being transplanted I can get them to bounce back well.
Moral of the story - don't under estimate how long flower will take to finish. I think most of my issues could have been avoided by waiting a couple weeks till my main tent was free before starting the new seeds

WeefBellington I think things are going better now, new growth is looking good and growth is back to a good rate.
Topped the one plant that I had left to recover longer a few days ago. Not sure if I'll do them both again or just train from here, grow them out and flip.

WeefBellington Not much to report, still think it's looking good for new growth.
I think this strain doesn't need to want as intense lighting as my last plants did, seems to be be much better off after I lowered the light level significantly.

WeefBellington I was going to just manifold and try to follow guides but found the lack of frequent fiddling to be boring, so I have been training way more than I planned on. No real gameplan, rhyme or reason to what I'm doing at this point, it's just such a fun plant to mess with.
Snapped a branch I think this last Saturday or Sunday, taped it up quickly and I think it's fine but will leave the tape on a bit longer before I check.

WeefBellington Took the tape off the branch I snapped and it looks like it healed great. Was thinking about flipping but as I was inspecting I caught some damage I hadn't noticed before on one of the plants.
The branch had split when I was topping and spreading out and you can see the big gash all the way down it. I've been monitoring it for weeks and it seemed fine - not mushy, not spreading, seemed like it was healed up and calloused so I wasn't concerned.
today I realized that at the end of the branch where I topped it, I was putting too much stress on the new branches and still pulling it apart. So, hadn't healed up there and still taking on more damage. I took off the wires that were flattening out those branches, squeezed the wound tight and wrapped it up as best as I could. Will see how it goes but I want to give it some heal time before flipping.
I'm curious to see how much it stretches. My measurements here have been the same for a while because I've been trying to keep it flat(ish) with the top of the canopy about 12". If I measure up the stem, along branch and up the stems the total length is around 24" at the longest. The stems off the branches are only 4"-ish.

WeefBellington gotta run out the door right away so just quick pics and update.
Have been battling high heat the last week as we finally got nice weather but not nice enough to turn on the AC. Highest it hit was 31 but mostly has been around 28.
Things are filling out nicely and I think the wound is healing.
Will probably give three or four more days then flip to flower, going 6pm to 6am to try to manage heat

WeefBellington Flipped to flower this last Monday. man, really struggling with heat. At the moment I'm at 33C and 40%, the listed temp and humidity during day time is an average but it's a constant fight. Wonder if I should run a longer hose from exhaust to out of the room and into the hall.
Have added cal mag in with every feed and it seems the spots on the fan leaves have stopped totally so that's a plus

WeefBellington Bought a cheap trellis of AliExpress and am super happy. Previous grows I tried an AC Infinity one, but they don't make one sized well for this tent and I found it to be next to useless, even if folded over on itself to try to make it the right size. This is much better.
Plants seem very happy. I think they are still stretching a bit more but it's slowed way down which is good because my light height is maxed out unless I get some shorter hanging wires.
Light has been on 7, a bit nervous to go higher due to heat. Will bump it up to 8 today and monitor.
Have been feeding every other day (more or less), for the last couple weeks, about a gallon each with 4ml cal mag, 8ml FloraMicro, 16ml FloraBloom. Sometimes wait an extra day, sometimes feed a bit less, but in and around that range at least.
