Turgor72 Day 8, 100ml of water with a minimal amount of Bio grow was applied. On day 10 and day 12, 150ml of water with a minimal amount of bio grow added was applied. For clarity when I say a minimal amount of bio grow added. I simply dip a 5ml pipette into the bio grow bottle up to the 0.5ml mark and dip the clinging residue into the watering jug. I also like the way a compression sprayer aerates water. So I fill the watering jug with water from the compression sprayer. The DLI has risen from 12 - 16. The 2nd set of true leaves began developing on day 8 and by day 10 the 2nd set of leaves were bigger than the 1st set. By day 14 the 3rd set of true leaves are developing and growth is noticeable at the lower nodes. So I added 200ml of water containing a minimal amount of bio grow.

Turgor72 Day 16 200ml of water with bio grow added was bottom watered. The leaves span the diameter of the pot which, Suggests the roots do to. So I now want to encourage the roots to reach the bottom of the pot. By bottom watering I will encourage them to seek out the water down below.
Day 18 plant roots were visible through the drainage holes at the bottom of the plant pot. So 200ml with bio grow added was top watered.
Day 20 I am really happy with how things are growing. Both plants are throwing 7 fingered leaves. The front left plant is 15 cm tall and the back right is 19 cm tall. I watered 250ml of water with bio grow added. The DLI is at 20, I am using the dimmer to make these adjustments if the plants have not grown into the desired DLI. I am trying to keep to the Photone DLI chart for autos and am using the app to track this.
I think I can just make out the beginning of hairs on the back right plant. At day 21 from seed this is super fast. So next weeks instalment will probably be the first week of flower with all the exciting explosive growth of stretch. This stuff never gets old 🙂.

Turgor72 Day 22 the plants received 250ml of water with a minimal amount of bio grow.
Day 24 both plants are showing sexual maturity and are female (good job FB). I can feel the energy flowing in these plants (good job Biobizz). So it’s time to fully saturate the grow medium with 10% of soil volume. I watered each plant with 400ml of water with a minimal amount of bio grow and 0.5ml/l of bio bloom added.
Days 26 and 28 the plants received the same watering as on day 24.
Whilst I am now, fully saturating the biobizz light mix, there is no run off. I can see the plant leaves turning a darker green almost blue tinge. So I think I can stop adding the bio grow, as enough of it has built up in the soil and the plant itself. It is clear that the bio grow in conjunction with the light mix, provides plenty of nitrogen and increased microbe activity for the plant. To avoid any toxicity I will add bio bloom only, from this point onwards.
The plants themselves are beginning to express their natural characteristics. The back right plant is twice the height of the front left plant. It has thinner leaves and larger internode spacing.
I have elevated the front left plant, as I don’t want to interfere with the growth of these plants by training and manipulation. I haven’t even leaf tucked and it’s amazing to watch the plants extend their side branches laterally beyond the larger fan leaves shading them out.
The DLI is 30 at the top of the tallest plant and is set to rise to 40, over the course of the coming week. The plants have started to smell but nothing of note, just a general funky skunky smelly green shit odour.
Autos stretching can sometimes go a little wonky, so I am hoping for continued good health this coming week, so wish me luck. Oh and if you stumble across this diary and are a knowledgeable user of biobizz bio grow, let me know your thoughts on its continued use, under the circumstances I outlined above.

Turgor72 Day 30 plants received 400ml of water with a minimal amount of bio grow and 0.5ml/l of bloom.
Day 32 and 34 plants received 500ml of water with a minimal amount of bio grow and 1ml/l of bloom.
I have finally got to the stage where I am watering to run off. The run off is wicked up within 30 minutes. Watering every other day allows the biobizz light mix to cycle through full saturation to full dry back.
The plants seem super happy with very dark green leaves. The back right plant is twice the height of the front left plant. Their growth structures couldn’t be more different from one another. So I’m hoping their taste and effects will be as different.
The limiting factor on this grow has been my relative humidity which, has been low and consistently around 40%. However the plants are big enough to influence this now and the RH sits around 50%+. I noticed that the leaves have a fuzzy felt texture when in low humidity. They must be trying to trap moisture in and around the surface of their leaves.
The smell in the tent is ramping up and I can see the plants transitioning from stretch to bud formation. What some call pistils, others Stigma and what I call bud hairs are being produced at a rapid rate. The first dusting of trichomes are also starting to show.
The DLI has moved from 30 to 40. I will increase this over the coming week, to a maximum of 45 if the plants respond well to it. For the coming week I am going to keep on keeping on, with no other planned changes.
With no training or PHing of water this combination of biobizz light mix, bio grow and bloom, in conjunction with FastBuds autos is easy. Grow wise I like how invested you can get when you DIY your soil, castings and dry amendments but for ease of growing Biobizz is winning. I won’t know the real truth until consumption🙂.

Turgor72 I water with 10% of the soil volume, so 400ml, when the plant pot is light. This is about every 42 hours. I still add a minimal amount of bio grow, just enough to colour the water, and bio bloom at a rate of 1ml/l. I have included a chart in the images with my watering and nutrient practice and continued plan.
The plants stretched to within 20 cm of the light and were exposed to a peak of 53 DLI. They seem unaffected but I was aiming for a peak of 45 DLI. Now I’m of the belief that plants are sentient beings and know what is best for them. So I have reduced the DLI to 50, giving them some scope for extra growth, without negative affect, during bud development.
The plants have totally outgrown their 4litre pots and are now in what I call wonky mode. This means they have the beginning signs of burnt tips on the top leaves, with the beginning of yellowing of the lower leaves. This has nothing to do with the biobizz nutrients or the substrate. It has a little bit to do with my growing skill set🙂 and everything to do with the small pot size. The roots own these pots reaching through the drainage holes at the bottom and visible at the top just under the surface of the soil. Unfortunately I have a tiny space to grow in and a desire for a variety of flavours and effects…one day.
When I open the tent I smell gummy bears and am looking at two beautiful plants. The biobizz nutrients and light mix are making this grow easy and the FastBuds genetics are doing their thing.
This coming week I will; leaf tuck to keep the bud sites bathed in light, remove any burnt up spent leaves, continue to water with 10% of soil volume when the pots are light and increase bio bloom to 1.5ml/l and see how the plants respond.

Turgor72 I have continued to water the plants with 400ml of water containing enough biogrow to colour the water and 1.5ml/l of biobloom, when the pots are light.
The back right plant smells of tropical fruits, most notably pineapple. It is defoliating itself and has signs of purple streaking, and for the first time it looks to have slowed its water consumption.
The front left plant smells of orange juice. It has consumed some of its lower leaves, but not at the rate of its neighbour. There is no purpling of the stem and no slowing in its water consumption. This plant is still charging.
The DLI sits at about 55 at the top of the plants and roughly 35 at the lower satellite buds. I do feel like I am pushing the plants with the light, but everything else, like the water, nutrients, air movement, temperature and humidity has remained consistent. So although the back right plant is showing signs of fatigue, it’s rising to the challenge because of the consistency.
Whilst both plants popped up together, with the front left plant showing 3 hours before the back right. The back right plant is further developed than the front left plant by about 4 days.
This coming week I will continue with the same water and nutrient practices and continue to remove the spent leaves.

Turgor72 This week I added biobizz calmag to the nutrient mix. There are no signs of deficiency, I find it helps the plants to swell those bracts adding bulk to the buds.
I have decreased the light intensity, we are down to 45DLI now. Should signal a shift in the plants to concentrate on the bud development.
The front left plant continues to smell like orange juice. The back right plant continues to smell like pineapple, but is definitely shifting to a more general tropical fruit aroma. My nose prefers the fresh orange juice aroma, I hope it tastes as good as it smells.
This coming week I will phase out the nutrients and move to water only.

Turgor72 The plants received just Biobloom at a rate of 1.5ml/l twice at the start of this week. Since then the plants have been given just water.
The light level has also been decreased to about 42 DLI.
The plants are maturing and their buds ripening now. Unfortunately the taller back right plant has at least 4 seeds forming at different bud sites. Grow conditions have been good, consistent and the plants have been allowed to grow untrained and naturally. I suppose that is natures way, without it there would be no bag seeds and all the great varieties that have come from them.
Whilst the carbon filter does its job well, when I open the tent now the fruity funky smell is loud. I had a Paloma cocktail the other day which has pink grapefruit in it. The back right plant now smells like a Paloma. The front left plant continues to smell like orange juice.
This coming week I will continue with the water only and remove the spent leaves. I will also start to scrutinise the trichomes heads.

Turgor72 It has been water only this week. The plants have pulled the chlorophyll from the leaves and in turn I have pulled the spent leaves.
I will harvest the plants during this next week. The back right plant has finished fully but the front left plant could probably go another 10 days. So 5 more days seems like a fair compromise.
These plants come from mix pack auto seeds. I have no idea what they are. However I took lower buds off the plants and put them in my dry herb vaporiser. 100 degrees Celsius to remove the moisture, then I vaped the buds at 180 degrees Celsius.
The back right plant smells like grapefruit and tastes like grapefruit with a fizz. It gives me a pleasant stoney effect. The buds feel sticky and gritty on the fingers. I’m calling it a Paloma cocktail.
The front left plant smells like orange juice and tastes like orange juice with a creamy finish. It gives me an uplifting energetic effect. The buds also feel sticky and gritty on the fingers, no grease. I’m calling it a OJ crème.
The seeds I spotted on the back right plant look fairly immature, so not really an issue. Therefore I recommend the mix pack auto seeds, as they offer good value, especially when picked up at buy 1 get 1 promo time.
The biobizz light mix soil in conjunction with bio grow and bio bloom have been super easy to use and have really allowed the genetics to shine. I first used biobizz 6 years ago. I then went down the rabbit hole of amending my own soils and using ferments and teas. Nothing ever stays the same and so can never be replicated. I recommend using biobizz for simplicity and replication of results.
So I will chop, dry, cure and report back in a couple of weeks or so, with final dry weight and thoughts.
