Prilyfe13 Out of curiosity, I'm keeping this one open until it dies. Or figures out a way to escape. Lol. Quick update. I think there's a bear across the street from me! Sweet! I heard it break a branch then grunt. But I didn't see anything. Shame, it would've been A good pic. Ok back to our regularly scheduled program. Lol 05/19/2026 What a start to the run. It's been like 2 days and she's already out of the wool cube. She's almost completely standing. I'd give it to the end of the day she's all straight up. So I bought a new 4x4 tent and light. 500 watts. And a 6" exhaust fan. I bought them specifically for this run. There's lots of light in my living room and that's where the tent goes. I also got window curtains. I have the light set to 30%. Chances are I'll have to bump it to like 70% in a day or two. I don't want to overdo it though. Nutrients will be Advanced Nutrients. I'm thinking about running the Lotus nutrients again. I figured out what happens with the top feeder. It gets clogged and the a water can't go up. Then this happens, I see brown roots in the bucket. Not dark brown. Those were in the top of the roots. Like in the basket area. I think it's because the top feed system stopped with no clean water. So nutrients build up in the basket and top of the roots I think the only way to fix it is to top feed for a few days. Clean pHed water. Probably fill the bucket up a couple times. Maybe 3 times. Over the course of 2 or so days. So if it clogs up again, I can turn the air pump off, empty the bucket and feed right into the hydroton. That should do the trick. At least a few times like that. Fill and empty 3 times. Then a low dose of nutes. For the first week of veg. So she's fine for now. I accidentally forgot to pH the water. Oh well. She's seems super happy to me. Already standing up. I thought it would be tonight, but it's 4 pm and I mentioned the plant stand I straight up tonight. NOPE. Just popped out of the cube. Standing straight up. This is the first seed. I have 4 more if she fails. Lol. But this is the first photoperiod. The environment is looking really good for a seedling. 77.2° and 74.1%. I have a small 4 inch computer fan blowing air through the whole system. It's working wonders. Yes it's AC Infinity. Everything I have for growing is AC Infinity. Kinda brand loyal huh. In my defense, it works really well with the whole system put together. I'm talking light, heater, humidifier, dehumidifier, exhaust, supplemental lights, air pump, another air pump, oscillating fans, 4x4 tent. I have the camera waiting on pre-order. Hell, I even have their pH meter/EC/TDS and Temp. Update: So I just checked out the seedling. It's 8 pm and I have looked at her on quite a while. She's already stretching. I set the light to 50%. That's fast. Surprisingly fast. 05/20/2026 Looking good. Stretching pretty quickly. Hopefully she doesn't stretch too much. Super healthy, I already have the entire tent setup. It's all in there. The wires are everywhere. Chaos! Nope. 05/21/2026 So she grew a bit, but then... 05/22/2026 Still looks like weirdness to me. Why is this plant doing this again? I really don't get it. I'm starting to think maybe the light is too bright in there. I put it down to 30%. It's been since last night that I turned the light down to 30%. No change though. That could be the lights out time? I don't have the germination system blocked from outside sources. Bad news bears. Not only did my light fail for my photo box, wait... No that's it. Lol. I thought I had something but nope. 05/23/2026 Ignore everything you just read. I'm giving up on this one. Too spindly. I have another one that I popped yesterday, just in case what looks like. If she's good, great! I hope this one doesn't give me stretching issues. 05/27/2026 So I've decided to let this lady go a bit more. She has a nice root network going now and I'm pretty sure this will be a good thing for her. I may have added the second seed a bit too early. I guess we shall see. Be back with the update. I really wanna see who has a better network. I can always plant this one and if the other one comes out better after a week or so, I'll be switching out plants. Lol. You know, the good ole swapparoony. Anyway, I made a light mix of nutrients today. I was considering adding this one today or tomorrow. Her roots are about an inch long. So I'd say it's a good time to add her to the DWC system which is already primed and ready to go. Just gotta turn the tent on and let it get up to temp and humidity. 05/27/2026 She looks like a crinkled up note. What is happening? Lol. Other than that, she has a bunch of roots out of the cube. I might just add her to the pebbles tonight. See how things go. If not good, I have another one waiting. And if that doesn't work, there's another one over here. Temp: 74.9° RH: 66.1% VPD: 1.00 05/28/2026 I dunno, man. I might plant this one after all. She's still pretty healthy with the exception of the Dr Seuss imagery and charm. I'm going to wait a couple more days to see if the other seedling wins out the seedling race...without injury or a weird happening. Ok, so she is tall and messy looking. Her leaves are drooping pretty bad now. I can't tell if she's just taking it all in. Maybe? Hopefully? Maybe she'll straighten up when she starts to grow again. Now I'm not sure which one will work best. The straight one only a couple days old, or the 10 day old problem. Lol. I'm really having trouble here. Lol. 05/30/2026 Well, she's getting yellow. I'm thinking about seeing what happens in the little cell. I'll just pour a little nutrient mix in the bottom of the tray. I might just throw her away. I want to see what happens with the one in the basket first. She's about a week behind, but also looks the best. You know, not sticking out with a root attached to it. We shall see. 05/31/2026 Well, we're rounding on 2 weeks as a seedling. She should be in the final container now, but I really don't trust that angle at the base where the tap root meets the trunk. I just don't know. That's why the other one was planted instead. Very straight and sturdy. I'll keep this one for a little while longer. Just to see what happens. 06/04/2026 She's still alive and kickin. Yellow, but looking really stable. I bet I could bring her to greener pastures. Lol
