Apologies for beginning at week 16. It’s my grow but I hardly get there.
This is an outdoor hoop house at which the back of my farmer friends had let me plant a few seedlings of NY Diesel Kush 50/50 back in 2016. I couldn’t attend to them properly and the boys diddled the girls, and they’ve been self sustaining since.
This is our fourth year growing on this decorative flower farm hoop house (for weddings & such)! It’s so cool there! Chickens and cats roam the garden, along with scary looking spiders and snakes! I planted in July 2016, and nature has done the rest since.
These are volunteers, sprouted from fallen seeds this past spring.
These plants have been left completely unattended, other than my culling the males, and cleaning up in general ONCE all summer. Wild grown!
Some of you may recall in May when I asked everyone why photoperiods would begin flowering in 15+ hours light per day. The collective answer from our panel of accomplished, international growers was essentially “...Uhhhhh...shit happens”
So we never got to the bottom of that question.
these pictures taken yesterday 14/09/2019
The farmer, who wanted to be introduced to cannabis growing, called me yesterday to say “These are ready” I didn’t think so based upon his pics, but’s he’s a farmer and I trust him, and we have had mold issues before. His flowers are at a stage where they need humid air, and since my girls are in the same house, they will suffer. So it’s an early harvest by my trichome standards, but I’m sure it will be plenty strong.
Up they came and are now hanging with the onions and garlic to dry LOL. Hope it doesn’t affect flavor adversely!!
@CRiSPrGrow,
Now you know why this strain originally reminded me of a baseball bat!
I gave some away the day I brought it home, and will be sending a care package to a friend in Florida. Sorry friends. USA only for security reasons
🤙
@CRiSPrGrow,
Yes but I can’t take credit. They self germinated. I culled the males once and removed morning glories that were wrapping around the girls. That’s all the work put into growing it. Took 3x that to harvest & trim!
@EZgrower, fair enough by comparison to dispensary grade. These have been wild grown and minimally trimmed. When I go to the smoke or vape table, it requires the removal of 2 to 4 dried fan leaves, and then a light twist and shake to rid it of the larger sugar leaves. Presto- flower. Some buds have seeds
2-3 per bud, some 4-5. I’ve got news for seed haters: this high is wicked delightful and everyone loves it. If you can surmount those considerations, you are well rewarded. And at $15 per seed delivered on average what’s not to like?
@amazongrow, Obrigado, but that’s actually three that were rolled up together for the drive home. so I thought I’d have some fun after unpacking. But they’re very nice anyway. Thanks, and thanks for playing along.
