Day 8: looking fine, seems like they will start growing a bit now. Day 9: noticing decent growth, was going to feed today but soil is still moist, first feed with nutes tomorrow. Day 10: Started feeding nutes. First few feeds will be 1ml/L of Biobizz Grow only. Will be starting with Bloom and Alg·A·Mic maybe W3. Day 11: Might've watered a bit much yesterday with the feed, there was plenty of run-off but they don't seem fazed. Won't have to feed for awhile now. Day 12: They've really shown a lot of growth. On 3rd node right now on both plants. Day 13: Growing strong, thinking of starting LST soon.

What's going on with my GrapeyWalter? At Day3 I noticed some discolouration and the underside turning dark. Some abnormal growth to go with it. Neighbouring plant seems fine so I'm doubting a environment problem. Both have been fed the same plain ph'd water for the same medium.

Hey there...so those little babies often times get discolored 1st leaves, cotyledons definitely and even the 2nd set. Many times they'll just need to be plucked away once new leaves replace them. The tops look healthy so id just play the patient game and make sure they've got their nice warm moist atmosphere. Happy growing ✌️ I'm excited to watch the grapey walters, i wonder if they'll have any purple traits or just a grape aroma.?

Hey dude, good luck with the new grow. Just wanted to say something quickly, though. I'm an electrician and the wet towel method your using is very, very dangerous and should be removed immidiety. I'm not gatekeeping here, my friend, it is just a fire hazard and at the very least will damage/degrade your qauntam board(from the driver, looks like an sf-2000. Awesome lamp) I use a pan of water with a heat mat under it and a small fan blowing over top to achieve higher humidity, for free. There is a hanger, tea towel and bowl of water method I highly recommend, which is about the same thing. Maybe the easiest solution is to take those towels and put them on hangers near the light or with a fan blowing over it. I achieved +20% RH during my drying period by doing this. Please consider and happy grows growmie. Cheers!

@JinksyGrows, Haha yes the angle is a bit deceiving.. And it's no problem, I'm open to to any advice or critique that anyone has. It's my first grow I know I'll make some mistakes but I'm here to learn. Thank you!

@@@neezdugs, No problem man, and I see what you're talking about now and that they are hung slightly above, cascading over the light. I would like to point out that this is still a risk and water near electrical drivers and devices can still cause issues and a high humidity surrounding the light may wear down the casing/heat sink/diodes. These quantum boards usually ask for a air gap of at least 2 inches as well to ensure it's able to give off it's heat properly, via the heat sink. This is kind of like insolating an already hot lamp. There is a possibility, that if un-left to disperse heat properly, the unit/driver will be over worked and can burn out. I just generally avoid touching the lamp at all costs, as it is probably the most delicate and important electronic in your grow. The new shot you posted of the towels on the front end is perfectly! fine and will give you the RH you're looking for. I apologise if I jumped the gun there or if I'm coming off as a know it all. I just saw this and was concerned for your safety (and driver/lamp warranties). I 100% wish you good luck and I'll be around following your grow 👍😉. If you have any questions and if I have the answers, drop me a line or speak with any one of the many solid growers on this site. We're all here to help and support! Edit: The more I look at the new picture I see I did over react and the angle did make it seem like they were directly on the board, LOL. Sorry man

@JinksyGrows, Thanks! The towels aren't actually even close to touching to heatsink though. It just looks from this angle. They are hanging from a shoelace I tied to the the top of the tent. Is it a problem even then? Edit: Updated diary with a picture from a different angle.
