Week 2 was very simple. All I had to do was water each plant a few days during the week and it grew about 4x larger in one week.
I have been lucky with the weather as well. The temperature stayed between 64 - 83°F. The UV index was at least an 8 for the vast majority of the week during peak sunlight hours with only a few hours of shade from clouds, per day. Almost no rain.
The only problem I ran into this week was when I noticed a few holes on the leaves from insects. There are a lot of grasshoppers in my area so I assumed they were the problem. To combat the pests nibbling at my leaves; I bought some Neem Oil and mixed it with water and a few drops of Dawn dish soap inside of a spray bottle. I used the spray bottle to apply a light amount of mist to the leaves and the surrounding area to make the Neem smell stronger. To avoid damaging the leaves, I only sprayed a little bit of the solution directly on the plants. I knew that if I could see some solution running down the leaves, I had sprayed too much. Week 2 was a breeze.
