Should I start trimming the plants? How should I trim them? Where? What should I do with the cut clones? I'll have a lot. what should I do with them to ensure the highest number of awesome nuggs? I started some pruning when they were too young which is why they look a bit wierd

Yes , it’s time for a lil haircut . First you can clean the bottom of the plant, then you can cut every fan leaves who’s blocking the light to others tops. The rule of thumb is to let light penetrate the inside of the plants.

Which NPK ratios have you tried, and which ones work the best for different stages? I' on day 1 of week 2 of flower and have just done a res change with an NPK of 1-2-3 in 10gal of water: Micro-25ml, Grow-75ml, Bloom-50ml. Do you agree with this, why or why not?

Don't overthink , use basic nutrients and add some cal mag , less is better than too much in DWC you can easily use 1/2 manufacturers recommended amounts , plants need water , oxyegen and light , the last one bring the most important .👍

Hi, I'm agreeing with green on this, more difficult without the pictures for sure.. to know and see where you're at. VEGETATIVE GROWTH Nutrient requirements are minimal. Less is most definitely more. Most growers favour a high N feed. An NPK ratio of 3:1:1 during the growth phase. Of course, some strains will respond better with some slight tweaking. It’s not all about nitrogen, but N levels should always be higher than phosphorus and potassium until bloom. Nitrogen-rich feeds are not required for soil growers as most high-quality cannabis soils contain enough fertiliser for the first 3-4 weeks. Just add water and keep an eye out for nutrient lockouts. Alternatively, Vertafort grow tablets can slow release nutes during vegetative growth. (Which I have, and they work quiet well). FlOWERING- Plants transition into flower, nutrient requirements swing in the opposite direction. That means switching to bloom base nutrients and adjusting the NPK ratio. A effective NPK formula is 1-3-2 for early to mid-bloom, followed by 0-3-3 for late bloom. Add a final flush of pure water and/or light flushing solution during the final week for flavour. Then, it’s time to harvest. P & K dictate the quantity and size of bud, respectively. Tapering off N levels while simultaneously increasing P & K is the primary grower objective. Too much nitrogen late in bloom spoils the sinsemilla. Buds will taste harsh and just won’t smoke as smoothly as a thoroughly-flushed crop. Leave out the N altogether for the final 20-30 days. Every cannabis strain has its own nuances. This is true when it comes to nutrients and feeding too. Regardless of whether you intend to use organic or chemical fertilisers, you must incrementally increase doses. You simply cannot launch right into full-strength feeds from the get go. Again, Vertafort slow release organic bloom tablets are a viable alternative as they time-release nutes throughout flowering. This is just advice and you're free to do as you wish, but in MY opinion this is what generally works. Good luck

If the numbers above are true, you are between 10 to almost 100x the max recommendeed dosage of nutes! Change the liquid to water and either use some of the old liquid (teaspoons) as nute solution added to the water or just start over with the solution. For an agressive veg, use 1 teaspoon of bloom per gallon, 2 tsp of Micro and 3 tsp of grow per gallon. I'm using all three in the veg state, and so far, its working well. I've also tried the Gro only for other plants (Kale) and that worked fine for a while, but adding the other 2 nutes seems to make the plant happier and studier. Even though it was not even close to blooming. Make the change and let us know how it goes.

@BucketBrigade, thanks so much for the good info. In the last week I learned more about plant nutrition than I have in my entire life. Looking back into my notes, I had my ppms above 1000 (@.7 conv) while they were still seedlings! You're right saying i was 10x overdosing. I made so many mistakes in the beginning. In the last few days here though the plants have been exploding in growth. I took 15 clones from just one plant yesterday. Take a look at my last res change; 50ml Micro, 100ml Grow, 50ml Bloom. I mapped out my next change to; 25ml Micro, 50ml Grow, 100ml Bloom.

You learn from your mistakes and move on. Good luck on this one, I'm rooting for you 😉

Hey there so I apologize I didn't account for your 10 gallon measurements when I gave those calculations up top. For a 10 gallon water a recommendation would be approximately 24ml/10gal grow, 48ml/10gal micro, 72ml/10gal bloom. Also this is for an EC of 1.4-2.2. Do I agree with your measurements? Hmm I typically use micro as the highest measurement, followed by lower measures of bloom and grow. Of coarse it fluctuates over the growing stages as I'm sure you already know. I hope I could be of a little help. Happy growing. :)
Experimentgreen
Experimentgreen
@vancitybuzz, Hey so since I'm soil and youre hydro we'll have many differences of coarse. However with nutrients my micro has an extremely low NPK like in the .08,.06,.02 range, while my grow was like 6-2-4, and bloom 2-8-6, roughly. I was told the micro wasn't exactly for really boosting growth or flowering but providing overall health and that's why it told me 6 tablespoons of micro and only 1 teaspoon of grow to a gallon. It also recommended using micro throughout the whole grow, while the grow/bloom had their special times. GHE has a link of a feeding schedule here for both soil and hydroponic. https://www.eurohydro.com/floraseries.html I really hope this helps, I tried addapting my answer earlier to factor in your hydroponic and EC number. Nutrients were hard for me to grasp at first, until I knew to ask for help with the community or friends, but also to message the company or view their recommended schedules and then adapt my routine to their advice. Best of luck to you, and your feeding. I looked at your pics and being early flowering you may be at a point of "aggressive growth into the flowering stage" which has a recommendation for feedings as well. Lol so much info, where to even begin. :)

@Experimentgreen, thanks for the interesting input. Can you explain why you typically have Micro as the highest number? Micro is the nitrogen element. Plants assimilate 80% of their nitrogen for their life in the first half of their life. it's such a curious thing, researching how to feed cannabis online. there is nearly zero concrete information or data. Everyone's got their way it seems. I'm just trying to do my best with all the info I can find. You recommend M:48mL G:24mL B:72mL, however I used M:25mL G:75mL B:50mL today starting week 2 of flower. I chose this ratio after spending all day reading and settling on an npk ratio of 1-2-3.

I'm just about to finish two of these girls up. Neither pheno likes heavy nutes and they are very resilient to stress.
vancitybuzz
vancitybuzz
@Irishvirus, i accidentally drove my young ones over 1000 ppm, and while they showed nitro tox by way of clawing, dark green leaves and slightly burnt tips, they handled it well. However, I still agree with you. I began correcting it and once I brought it way down they exploded with growth. I'm just about to begin transitioning into flower ratios. They handle stress SO well. I more or less totally stripped plant #3 for clones, I ended up taking 15 from her and she doesn't give a shit, she actually looks happier! I also took a few from plant #2 and same thing, zero stress in fact more radical growth.

Acceptable PH for DWC is between 5.5-6.5, ideal would be between 5.5-5.8. I would set my PH to 5.5 at the beginning and then don't chase the PH, only intervene if it gets over 6.2

They are not looking good, some serious nute problems going on ;) you're using bloom nutrients even though she has 3 nodes and no flower in sight, and you're using a lot of them

@vancitybuzz,http://www.growweedeasy.com/sites/growweedeasy.com/files/grow-weed-General-Hydroponics-nutrient-schedule.pdf . This worked for me. 1000 PPM is way too much at this stage, if that's what you have.

@bobo420, jesus christ i want to wipe the internet clean and have everyone just agree to stop putting stupid information on it. im about ready to toss these plants. i have absolutely no fucking clue whatsoever on how to feed them. none. i thought I had it right, after literally spending daaaayyyysss weeeeeksss trying to figure this out. i knew it still didnt sound right but like i said, every single page i look at tells something totally different.

This may sound so novice of me....but I'm here to learn. So here it goes. What are those pebbles you have on top of your medium? I think I've been told that those help with bugs and many other things, yes. :) thank you for any opinions.
vancitybuzz

@Experimentgreen, the pebbles are expanded clay hydroton, they are the medium surrounding the small rockwool cube. hope this helps =)

I agree with b4rns. With the clones you can put them in a cloner, if you have one. I’ve also had success planting clones directly into soil and/or peat pods. Cut the bottom of the clone at a 45 degree angle, then splice the bottom about 1/2 inch. Then put in the cloner or plant. Some trim the fan leaves about 1/2 way also. This helps to identify the new growth. Clonex is supposed to help also, but I’ve had success without it. One more thing, you want to use a branch with nodes on it for cloning, not fan leaves.
Experimentgreen
Experimentgreenweek 5
If you can mist your clones at least twice a day that's good with a clone dome. If you didn't have one...keep your temps upwards of 68 and most those babies often, since they have no roots they'll drink the water from the air...I believe that's why people try to keep the fan leaves even in a shortened way.

Well another day has gone by where I've been told I'd have clones and the person tells me the same thing "he hasn't gotten back to me yet". This is the same line I get over and over. Who the fuck is HE?! Someone tell him to answer his godamn phone.
