Northern Lights Autoflower, second grow

They are both doing well, but the one in the grow bag is much smaller. It is unclear whether it is because of the grow bag, because this one took a day longer to germinate. What I do like about the grow bag is that it is pretty much impossible to overwater, but what I don't like is the soil dries quickly near the edges and when I water, the water seeps out of the sides a lot rather than moisten the soil at the sides. I wonder if this will affect root growth long term.
