My biggest struggle this week was taking a picture of the Runtz Muffin and trying to fit it all in the frame... Jokes aside i am now doing MKP feedings to boost the Phosphorus and Potassium ratios with a bit of gypsum(I do believe it provides some calcium, maybe not as efficient as other options like calcium nitrate or cal-mag but definitely picks ur plants up a bit and avoids deficiencies) Current daylight hours: 13 hrs 48 mins (-1:20 Mins per day) A tip for outdoor growers: Preparing your calendar based on the day that daylight hours hit 14 hrs is a great idea. Usually cannabis plants put in full sun will start flowering once daylight hours decrease to 14 hrs (NOT 12, Indoor growers use 12-12 to ensure guaranteed flowering regardless of genetic disposition, however outdoors different strains also differ in flowering dates.(Usually hybrids and indicas will trigger flowering at 14hrs +-10mins and pure sativas at 13 +- 10mins, also keep in mind 100% sativa strains are kind of rare now so i would use the 14 hr rule for most strains). Harvest could be calculated in 2 ways since outdoor plants go into flower more gradually and tend to need more time to finish flowering (1-2 weeks extra, which you can for sure see from my close-ups for the runtz and tropicanna as they definitely do not look like in their 3rd week of flower) but be aware that the transition to flower is longer not the whole flowering process so as soon as your bud forms use the following formula to calculate your harvest date range: Date of bud formation + breeder's recommended flowering length in days - 30 = Harvest date The reasoning behind this is that on avg bud formation indoors takes 30 days or 4 weeks however outdoor it varies between 30-60 days. The same thing could be used to check all kinds of photoperiods, if a plant is receiving 8 hours of light per day buds will finish forming after 2 weeks instead of 4 and by using the above date we can check the harvest window.
