@Ninjabuds, Hey if it works for yea. a+ I think its over priced and has a bunch of misleading marketing. I bet their are other products that would keep your plants green in that time and cost less. That's my main grief with them, and they are only ever pushing their high profit margin products on the site never their main or core lineup of feeds that you would need.

@m0use, @Ninjabuds, 4-5 cents per gallon mixed... anything over that is highway robbery. As with most things, the masses ruin it for everyone else. Every marketing ploy is geared to fool the lowest common denominator among us. This is why political rhetoric deviates so greatly from reality. this is why diatary supplements, despite a nearly total lack of evidence, is a multi-billion dollar/year industry. this is why we get gardening products that promise stupid shit like "Grow 30% more roots" or some other vague and grand claim despite nothing supporting it. Dead weight... at least 6 billion people are dead weight holding everyone else back.

@Ninjabuds, Your one reply got eaten in the void. I saw the notification but its missing here. I read it all. A lot of brands of nutrients are weird and the rates of application are kinda crazy. a good concentrate is around 1ml-1L and some of the fancy supplements like PGR's and stuff are 1ml-100L kinda thing. Its best to use a diluted product to avoid fuck ups. Its good you did not buy it. Shipping stuff like liquid from EU to NA is crazy expensive. Its might be part of why its so pricey. I don't see this as a argument at all just people expressing their feelings on something and they don't happen to be the same. no biggie. I have purchased other fertz from my local area that are stupid expensive and they work well for me. I will most lilkey get more of them, but I feel it works well for me cuz its a all in one thing. macos micos and extras. plus they are local. all about the local RN.

Both of you know a diary has to be attached. The clip of ace ventura was a clue, too. Are you upset by the political jokes? If you are insecure about the tribes you associate with, maybe don't associate with conspiiracy theorists? unless you genuinely believe some group out there can control the weather, you really shouldn't be offended. @AsNoriu, I like the answers about light... it's like asking for distance traveled, but then only given kmh or mph. Half the equation is missing. (but in the form of an answer to a grow question) rate of photons (umol/s of PAR wavelengths) without hours of operation is useless information. It's one thing to assume 18h or 12h, for obvious reasons, but variance of light intensity of equipment used is a wide range. Efficacy varies, so watts/sq ft is retarded, too, except in contexts limited to a specific light. People need to read the wiki on DLI.

@Fruitgrower, You can filter by questions you answered and that are solved. growdiaries.com/grow-questions This way you can click on all the ones that have weeks attached to them. eg "week x" x=the week number, if their is no "week x" in the tagged bubbles on the question footer from the main page overview, then it is not liked to a diary and does not count towards this contest. Doesn't matter if you were picked as the answer as it does not count with no diary attached. Post the url's of the questions you think you should have been given a point for and I bet we can find the disconnect. Here are 3 examples. 1) a question liked to a diary/week I answered and won. +1 point to me "week 13" growdiaries.com/grow-questions/88582-early-harvest--frhzeitige-ernte 2) a question linked to a diary/week that I did not win, no points for me, but points for the other selected winner. "Week 3" growdiaries.com/grow-questions/88572-is-my-brand-new-exhale-bag-faulty 3) a question not linked to a diary/week that I won, no points as there is no week number/diary attached. growdiaries.com/grow-questions/88491-poor-quality-seeds You can load the diary by clicking "week x" inside the question once you open it. The old system used to link the diary as an image on the question so people thought all questions with photos where linked to a diary/week but this is no longer the case.

@Selkot, It happens in the finalization process. Whether it is GD correcting 'something,' or someone hiding diaries or deleting accounts is a matter of speculation.

@Green_claws, This message isn't visible, but i can reply in the notification. It is the nature of the beast (GD). I let it bother me, obviously, but i shouldn't. This is a marketing site made to maximize profits and everything else is secondary to that end. The 150 USD Liter of plagron booster is a bit too far, though, lol. people getting that for free and blabbering on about how amazing it is... yet would never buy it is quite sketchy. Lots of that goes on here. (god i hope this stays hidden or i might lose my account, again Bwahah.)

@m0use, lol, i would have won last month with 4-5 points. If 4-5 points skews the contest, then the problem probably lies with the contest. I do try to skip the ones linked to a diary, but sometimes forget to pay attention

@00110001001001111O, In the last few months not many ppl are linking it to a dairy or they don't have one and just use the account for asking questions. trending down heavly. Maybe cuz their is less trolls on the site?

@m0use, 3 months ago all our small plants got 25+. How does the law of averages work that out.

@m0use, @Ultraviolet , Easy.. they were very likely manufactruing questions. There was a script malfunction at one point and 1000s of questions in a very short time were posted with bits of html tags and other broken markup-language because someone missed a semicolon or bracket (syntax error).

@Ultraviolet, This was the days of 100-200, minimum to win. He wasn't removed? They usually filter out the cheats if not during the month, during the finalization of contest winners. Maybe he used multiple VM + VPN. Whole lot of work for minimal return, lol.

@00110001001001111O, Bloomie holds the record with 240+ answers to win event. There was no script cheating, but there was some manipulation. Years ago, diary attached to questions had way higher exposure, so people went for clout, likes, views, messages and so on. I would say Covid was first resurrection after decline, but community was way better and friendly before it, you could really learn new things, sponsors were giving away big time, now only seeds or pricey juice is on the market ...

@AsNoriu, the number of questions magically ramped up if they were answered.. i'm 80% sure they manufactured a good chunk of them in 2020, at least. Then the script broke and they didn't have the expertise to fix it. plus, i doubt that was a unique user. Probably some power-user with 20 accounts. The account would be inactive for a while, then all of a sudden get thousands of 'likes' in a short period of time. He wasn't the only one and that in itself is not an entirely bad thing... maybe a bit insecure, but not bad behaviour... each to their own onthat superficial nonsense. I'm glad the like count no longer controls some silly account label. The people with at the top that used to have 'script wars' was a joke. Unnatural growth outs the cheaters. At least when it was 'cartel-style' it took several people to boost each others numbers, lol. If you want to partake in it, this is a giant scam from top to bottom... advertisers taking advantage of users, users taking advantage of advertisers etc etc... gaming the system, lying to each other, defrauding each other, lol... telling people something is 'awesome' just because you got it for free, lol.... zero integrity with a motivational structure to match. If you avoid that shit, it's not so bad of a place.

@00110001001001111O, dont forget, i was biggest fan of Nobodiesbuds, despite him growing wpm, i still put likes under 99% of his grow records ;))) Bloombuster is an Ukrainian grower, think the only cheat during those wild days, was asking people to post questions and get selected. There were huge chats, with hundreds or thousands of users, someone even tried to add me to same shit yesterday. I quit, too many idiots, but i learn a lot from people during those days, including from you ;)))

@AsNoriu, ah, when that asshole scaled up he didn't account for all the extra humidity... i heard. Looked fine, but didn't know what was happening ~5 weeks into flower after lights went out, allegedly. yeah, you hear about the upcoming contests and get a leg up at times.. but wasn't worth the lag to be in those huge channels. Plus all the brand reps are in there creeping on people and lurking in the background unseen.

@00110001001001111O, likes and views still matter. Firstly you have combined ratings, your amount of diaries and likes are key points in calculating it. Secondly, DOTM is all based on that, more likes and views, more ( or i should name : almost guaranteed) chances to win. I remember times when questions were coming in bulk, i thought GD is doing it with fake accounts, not some user. I am still here, so i too think, that this page still has chances, i hope i am right ...

@AsNoriu, that's not solid proof of cheating. just a vibe that's unconfirmed. none of the questions are linked to a diary and at least one of the users who picked there answer is someone whose been asking shift for a long time. It does not seem that sus to me TBH, and new ppl tend to ask questions on how this site works vs trolls who just know. Maybe time will paint a different picture but for now I thinks its fine.

@AsNoriu, I am just replying to every question I have an answer to. If I reply early some people start messaging me for follow up questions and they appreciate my answer so they pick me as their solution. Isnt that what this contest is about? Right now the contest is not even working for me and I am just working out how everything works here...

@Mr_Boris, this contest is just a back product of people getting real help. Its a bonus for guys, otherwise quality of answers would be very low. If i was you ( i checked your diaries ) i would be asking questions, not giving some random answers and encouragement.

@Ninjabuds, filter "Solved" and then ctrl-f (find) "week" ... cycle through - that will significantly reduce how many you have to look at, if you care to.
