How much of these leaves do I trim(if any) do I trim off before I hang for drying? I’m supposed to leave the sugar leaves on right? I do plan on dry trimming I am just wondering if I do some small defoliation or??

It is split 50/50 who does dry or wet trimming. I personally do wet trimming, mostly sugar and fan leaves, because I do a combo, hanging/rack drying, in a confined grow box. After my 4-5 day drying, I do dry trimming around the buds.

Depends on your conditions. If you have no humidity problems at all, then leaving the sugar leaves on for drying promotes a more even dry. This is also true if you have a low humidity problem. If your humidity is around or over 60%, then you will want to cut off the sugar leaves too or you may have mold issues. Whatever you do, cut off the fan leaves first then cut the sugar leaves off in a way that lets you collect them for making concentrates.
