Anyone have some experience with mold, is mold in the soil normal? is this something people experience, it feels like a fail to me. What should I be doing? I'm gonna begin supplementing potassium silica as it arrives, and NPK microbes until DGC Recharge. Thanks -Astral

Hello. Yes mold spores are everywhere. They come in on the wind. Hydrogen Peroxide, it doesn't like fungus or bacteria. Please try: 1 ounce of 35% HP to 5 gallons of water. You can mix it a little stronger if you need to, but you can burn your root tips if you make it too strong. The plants love the extra oxygen too. Good Luck. Chuck.

Yeah no luck on even 3% peroxide yet, there's no shelf for it anymore even at my walmart i found a couple small bottles 3% before, so im sure ill get some but as much as i just wish i could buy it, use it and get it over with, and i'm sure it would be great. I'm gonna have to find a different method. I can get some 3% on amazon lol.. but people saying it didn't work its like water and other stuff and its marked up like 400% and i've heard people ripping people off for the pandemic, and since it can be used for a disinfectant I'm sure its prime scamming material that's why i'm iffy about the 35% i cant find at any chain stores or stores i recognize i have about 500ml of 70% iso, i know you can use dilute iso on leaves, whats it do to roots? I have safer's pesticide says for white powdery mildew, doesn't specify mold or boryitis or anything like that, mites and aphids, contains sulfur got as a last resort and i guess for the area or tent if need be Thanks for the suggestions

not sure if you'll see this but ya vinegar killed one @sativaman lol also my tent is avg 25C 45-50rh i don't have fan/tent layout, i have available 2 tall adjustable oscillating fan and 2 box 8inch exhaust and passive intake fabric pot stands 4 inches above soil @aacorn its my first grow I read something about santa beard there was green on the on iIaccidentally killed with vinegar in this weeks diary I've had signs of deficiency leaves yellowing some spots tents 4x8x6 got 2 box fans on the one side opposite exhaust and oscillating fan about pot level. 35% hydrogen seems a bit harder to get here and ill go by walmart but they didn't even have 3%(pandemic I guess). is 3%fine? Mycostop looked awesome but cant get that here its bacteria that eats molds @Chucky324 thanks would common 3% work 35% seems hard to get ill keep looking Id love to do that got microbes coming to do after but need peroxide @The8thChevron I water 5-6gallon 20% run off in promix w/ mycorhiza once every 5 days since i had fungus gnats 5 days when pots light again. and ya might re-pot if i cant keep it gone im sketched out about mold being anywhere near my buds

Vinegar solution??!! It will completely ruin your pH!! Just a few drops in a gal is enough to drop it a point and a point is a lot like 100 times more it is logarithmic. Mold on soil is bad any mold is bad it most comes from bad environment: not enough air moving around, not enough fresh air brought in the room and too much humidity. Try diluted peroxide solution you will find correct recipe on google. Improving your environment is a must you do not want mold in your buds right? Keeping your humidity below 50% is the key to fight mold.

That may be microbial fungi and not mold, especially if it is growing on and around the roots. Mycorrhizal Fungi is very beneficial for all plants. I don't think it grows on the surface though. Are you experiencing any type deficiency?

This mold is likely harmless. It's usually due to bad drainage or overwatering. You can just carefully remove the top layer of soil. If it keeps coming back, you can ignore it or re-pot the plant with fresh soil. In most cases, it would hurt the plant, but I don't trust it.
