How big before flower?

I'm doing SOG because it seems best for my first time so I can just see how a plant grows. How big should I let them get before switching to flower? 2x4x60 tent.

Hey!
To figure that out you have to measure your space.
If you grow tent is 150cm tall.
You need about 30(11in)-40cm(15in) of distance from the light, take away the height of the pots.(let's say 20cm(8in)).
You left with about 90cm(35in) of grow space. That means she can grow until about 90cm(35in) safely and not get light burn or stress.
Knowing that.. You need to know that in the switch to flower they can stretch and double even triple in size depending on the strain.
Some go upwards, others outwards and some do both.
So to play it safe.. When they're at about 35(13in)-40(15in)cm you can switch to flower, that way they can stretch till 70(28in)-85(34in)cm and you have a little more to play with..

Hi there!
Do you have any idea what strain you are growing? Sativa or Indica dominant?
Indicas tend to double in size when flipped to flower and sativas can triple or even more. Nowadays most are some sort of hydrids so safe assumption is little over double the height when flipped to 12/12 and you can use this to determine when to flip so you won't run out of height.
You can wait maybe two weeks even depending how fast they grow

2 plants in a 6.5L pot, is it crazy ?I noticed half of the space was used by the roots in the pots last session. Since I have schedule issues, I was thinking about putting 2 plants in one 6.5L pot in order to have a 12 plants sog and use F1 seeds (90x40 cm tent), with a scrog and lst (and fim ?).
