Still fertile male pollen remains on grow equipment after months of hermaphroditism incident?

3 months ago I had male flowers & my last grow's harvest had some seeds. Is it possible that fertile pollen from months ago can still linger on my equipment & be distributed in the air? If yes, what do I have to do to prevent my current plants from being pollinated?

Thanks for your answers guys! I cleaned the tent and all equipment as good as I can today. I will add this to my basic routine as suggested.

Pollen can remain viable for quite a few months, spraying/spritzing your entire grow area with plain water will neutralize it, but thorough cleaning between crops should become part of your routine. 3 months will be pushing the limits of the pollens life span, but a spritzing session should minimise any further risks of pollination. Hope this helps, Organoman.

You should be thoroughly cleaning your entire grow area and equipment between grows no matter what. We spend months caring for these plants, it is very annoying to run into a problem because of lack of proper sanitation. Happy growing.

Yea! Totally possible. The part that will probably do it is the fan, and those are super hard to clean! I would wipe everything down and maybe buy new fans! Sorry! ✌️🏻💚🌿💨

I use hydrogen peroxide (brown bottle from any corner store) full strength between grows to clean up I put it in a sprayer and spray the entire tent except things that can't get wet of course 😅 then during the grow (veg only I never recommend spraying during flower unless there's an issue) I'll mix three or four tbs of peroxide in the same sprayer with water and spray again the entire tent plants and all. The peroxide gives the plants a boost of oxygen and oxidizing any mold spores that might have developed and bugs don't like peroxide. I spray this mix once every couple weeks just for maintenance, pollen is degraded with plain water though if you don't want to use peroxide.... good luck 👍 grow on

Just use a damp cloth to wipe anywhere where pollen, dust, may have landed.

Before every grow you should wipe down and clean everything whether you had bugs, pollen, dust, dirt or nothing. Cleanliness is a must for my grow room.. Cheers

After each cycle you have to clean all the equipment to avoid spreading of mold or fungi, also pollen. Clean your box and you will be always safe. And no I don’t think some little ermy can spread a lot of pollen around the box to polinate the next cycle
