Welcome to my Fast Buds sponsored shootout and living organic soil v coco side by side. I also plan to use this grow to my full advantage regarding a few age old nagging questions about methods. I have had a keen interest in L.O.S ( supersoil) since reading a few threads a while back on how amazing and productive it can be. After too much research and procrastinating I had to give it a go. I have been a decades coco/nft grower and recently threw my hat in the rdwc ring too. I have avoided soil due to the overwatering worry ( heavy handed chimp brain !) and the best potting soil/feeds. Catching up on the advances in indoor soil gardening and organics led me too subcools supersoil recipes to name a few but being a town dweller with farms everywhere around me still drew blanks on a lot of the ingredients needed and where the hell I could even begin to get them from. Thankfully , commercial savvy has now made buying it in ready to use and with a full range of beneficial bacteria ect available in amendments from a grow shop here in the uk. ecothrive have realised the potential for us to dive into this medium with all the mixing , measuring and resourcing. I bit the bullet and £150 later I now have 4 x37Litre pots that will be used for as long as I want to feed the soil for without EVER needing nutrients again potentially. The coco has also had charge mixed in to encourage the bennies to colonize there too. I will be using the shogun nutes that I know do the business with coco to compare with for yield , growth and taste. I have 3 seeds each of 4 Fast Buds Strains to use as a control for the grow and am journaling each strain in their own diaries. This statement will be used to start each one as the information is identical at this point but following this I will do them individually. I am now starting their second week since opening the seed packets , straight into soaked and shook root riot cubes and into the heated propagator. They had all showed their heads by end of day 3 and a couple needed helmet surgery to open up without being hindered . I have has them in the prop for a few days but they needed to get settled as they were popping roots out all over the cubes. They have now been in their final pots for 2 days complete and starting their 3rd today at day 8 since planting in cubes. I am impressed with the speed and success of these girls already (12 of 13 germinated) . Well done fast buds. So here we go folks , any comments , ideas ,questions , advice are always welcome and I hope we can have some fun experimenting with defol v non defol , topping v fimming v bending and any other curiosities along the way. The buds are significantly larger and denser than they were a week ago and extremely resinous – trichome development is excellent. The trichomes appear predominantly milky, with a small proportion of clear heads. The ripening time seems to be right on schedule. 🔸 The aroma has developed into a fruity, almost tropical-sour direction – intense, with a sweet note that is very characteristic. The genetic line seems to be coming through well here. 🔸 The humidity was still a little too high this week (63%), but is now stable in the target range of 50–60% thanks to the use of the dehumidifier and the clip fans turned up to full power. The slight temperature increase of 2–3 °C is easily manageable. 🔸 Water requirements have also decreased significantly, which is consistent with the advanced flowering phase. Pics range from Day 14 to Day 21. Two very distinct phenos of the GLP. One coming in very purple early on and the other must hold distinct visual familiarities of her SFV OG. Will be top dressed with Gaia and EWC along with second application of Miicrobial Mass which has greatly aides in unlocking that Iron.

My Jelly Rancher plant looks amazing. She is growing well, her leaves and stems look really good. She recovered from the transplant like nothing even happened. She also recovered very quickly from the topping. Just pretty much waiting to put her into flower as soon as I can.

Backing off the feeds a little now that they are coming into the final weeks of flower. Did a good bit of defoliating this week to help get airflow to the lower areas. Happy with the bud growth they are really starting to fatten up now. Onto week 8! 😬✌️

Everything is pretty much the same this week the purple punch is doing up numbers, the zkittles is rite behind it with the gelato struggling. Already germinated some seeds for the summer grow hope the gelato grows better out doors

She responded well to her first feeding. Only one feeding with grow big, has been swapped for tiger bloom. Slowly lollipopping and removing future larf nugs. Video/photos taken 42 days after breaking soil.

End of Week 4 Trying to make sure the soil stays nice and moist to keep the microbes happy and letting the top 3 cm of the topsoil dry before each watering. . Turned the wattage up on my ballasts to 600W each. The ladies have gained some strength and they can handle the extra wattage. I also performed LST by tucking fan leaves and softly pinching and bending some of the bud sites also used some tie downs and topped here and there whilst keeping the stress at a minimal.

The plants have stopped growing in height and the buds are really starting to thicken! The smell is starting to increase as well. Going great!

17.05. I don't have anything special to say, of course the weather is terrible... it's 6-7 at night, 15-16 during the day, so they're inside... the temperature inside is 20-21 during the day, at night from 15 to 17 when it's this cold... the plants were exactly 3 weeks old yesterday, today they entered the fourth week and most likely they will wait inside for the fifth week as well because the weather is terrible and there is no point in transplanting yet. Cheese.. Un nome, una storia, una garanzia. Vecchia scuola, la mia preferita di sempre. La crescita è stata perfetta, non ha mai mostrato sintomi del minimo stress è ci sono andato abbastanza duro, tanto da spezzare il ramo apicale per aver tirato troppo con LST intorno alla settimana 4. Non ha sentito niente. Ha proseguito crescendo sempre di più e dicendomi "stronzo vacci piano..ora ti faccio vedere io". " 🤣😍 Ibrido pazzesco cresciuta strutturalmente più dalla parte sativa. Cime dure, gelide, puzzolenti. Ha infestato casa. Non c'è una sola cima pop corn. Perfetta. Grazie in primis a voi di Fast Buds per queste prelibatezze.
