Smoke review
Smoke report!!!
Its been a great grow again, learned a good amount on the lights this time. Hortibest Octopus XH8 is an amazing thing to work with.
I used it only on 80% of the 480w it uses at 100%, just bcs i didnt got close enough and not intens enough. That said, 385watts used in the 2.25mยฒ tent results in xxxgr in total.
Next thing i noticed is, this light is better for a scrog setting. This grow i did the bare minimum in training. No apicale cut, no lst, only hst on 2 bcs of their abondend grow verticale.
Ive also found out that this light is much more into red then my other 2 led lights. I used my lowbudget light sensor to take measurements and it showed 15k lum at 30cm to 25k lum at 12 cm. Thats some very low numbers compared to the other 2 leds.
Both apps I use to calculate didnt really had this set up in their list, so im still kind of in the dark, when it comes down to perfect light to canopy distance. But its pretty close, thats for sure. An even canopy is a must for that.
The soilmix I made seemed to be stable enough this time. Never seen much defecienties nor burn on the plants, so thats a keeper so far. There was a good wet/dry cycle, and easy to read the need for water.
I dont see much difference in the use of growbags against regular pots. Maybe regular pots got a little less yield compared to the growbags, but, as theyre all different strains, its hard to tell. Nonetheless, I like using growbags as it is easier to know where you're at for watering, and a bigger chance not having rootbound.
I just added the wrong tent apparently, so this was grown in the gorilla tent.
