Size matters when it comes to choosing a cannabis strain. Although some cultivators seek to grow massive weed trees, others select genetics with factors like compact spaces and stealth in mind. Considering that, our breeding team at Royal Queen Seeds developed Royal Dwarf to fulfil the needs of growers looking to raise beautiful plants while flying under the radar. Her small stature and brief growing times make her ideal for compact, secretive spaces. You can get creative with growing locations, too—anything from modified buckets to small garden plots will keep this strain undetected. You’ll receive a rewarding yield without stressing during growth, taking up too much space, or raising the wrong eyebrows. A Look at Royal Dwarf's Genetics Our skilled breeders selected Royal Dwarf’s parent strains with careful consideration. They wanted to focus on minimising her size while maintaining the highest yields possible. With those goals in mind, the team selected the legendary Skunk to lay the foundation for this miniature cultivar. If you don't know, Skunk sits upon the pantheon of classic cannabis genetics. It was first bred in the 1970s, and has an international pedigree—traits from Afghani, Colombian Gold, and even Acapulco Gold can be found amongst her genetics. It boasts a stimulating cerebral high, which is perfect for fuelling creative sessions and physical activity. Thankfully, Royal Dwarf inherited all of the best traits from this timeless cultivar, receiving a great baseline of cannabinoids and terpenes. However, most of the first varieties grew to a medium size. Wanting it to really live up to the name, our team introduced cannabis ruderalis genetics into the equation. This not only made the descendants far smaller, but made them far easier to cultivate and quicker to grow as well. After several generations of crossbreeding, Royal Dwarf emerged as a consistent hybrid with a genetic balance of 60% sativa, 10% indica, and 30% ruderalis. Growing Royal Dwarf Whether you're a beginner or expert grower, Royal Dwarf will offer you an easy growing season. it grows fast, requires little attention, and is actually quite hard to kill. it’ll grow fine in just about any climate, and actually likes temperatures on the colder side. Indoors plants only grow to heights between 40-70 centimeters. If you don't have a need to keep things secret, you can try growing several plants in a small bedroom or grow tent. Those that need to conduct more of a covert operation, though, can easily grow this strain in a converted 5-litre bucket or modified kitchen cupboard. Perform low-stress training early on in the grow cycle to keep this plant low to the ground and hidden while maximising its productivity. Growers looking to raise several plants in a small space should use the SCroG techniques to boost yield substantially. It’ll surge from a germinated seed into a matured plants within only 8-9 weeks. When that time comes, prepare to fill your stash jars with a rewarding 150-200g/m² of quality buds. Outdoor plants will thrive in just about any area of your garden. Sow them directly into containers or garden beds and watch their cotyledon leaves emerge in a matter of days. Position this strain in the corner of your greenhouse, or among taller companion plants like dill and yarrow, to keep her effectively concealed. Guerrilla growers also reserve a special place in their heart for Royal Dwarf. She can thrive unattended for long periods, and handles surprise cold snaps with ease. Expect outdoor plants to reach between 50-90cm and provide a yield of 30-80g/plant. Effects, Flavour, and Aroma of Royal Dwarf Looks can be deceiving. Although Royal Dwarf looks small and somewhat adorable, she still packs a relatively potent high. Her narrow and long flowers produce a respectable amount of resin, and offer a THC content of 14%. Although she won’t send your mind to the moon, she’ll leave you feeling creative, mellow, and content for hours after a smoke session. You can also process the aromatic buds into edibles to really explore what it has to offer. This high will get you substantially more stoned, and serves up a psychedelic edge as well. You’ll sense a wave of woody earthiness in the air as you pull these flowers from the stash jar, whereas every bong, blunt, and vape hit sends waves of citrus, sweetness, and sugar over the tongue. An Easy And Reliable Strain Royal Dwarf ticks all of the boxes for an easy, consistent, and hardy strain. She provides an efficient harvest for beginner and veteran growers alike, alongside a chilled out high perfect for productive and busy days.
