I don't buy that at all the a rough start will determine the entire life cycle of a plant. I've had seedlings that i've over watered, which developed root rot. I brought that bitch back from the brink of death. I dried that soil out as fast as i could by upping my temps, lowering humidity, and getting a breeze blowing across the soil surface. Then i watered with Hygrozyme which is an enzyme that break down and eats dead and rotten root material.
Look at my current diaries. Those clones were in solo cups and my humidifier dripped a bunch of water on the floor and they sucked it up and lay in saturated soil. They were root rotted and suffocated and in bad shape. Look at them now in their current weeks....
