01/01/2024 : Shiva skunk is saved and will grow in whatever was left to fullfill its plastic pot! Hindu kush is OK now and the 2 others look beautiful in their big square smarpots! 01/05/2024 : shiva's first true leaves are tip damaged, we'll see... others are growing nicely.

Grow Questions

Hi, last watering I've seen tiny translucent insects (about 1 mm) emerging from the soil. They are fast and can jump like a flea. I assume they live in soil. What are these little monsters, should I worry about them and what should I do ? TIA

I can not make anything out from the image, it almost looks like a baby translucent/ghost root. could be a number of things from springtails to gnat larva or something else, Need better pics of the create in question. Gnats are annoying but not normally detrimental to plants unless they overrun the site and get stuck in sticky buds. springtails are good to the soil and feed it by eating dead matter they also don't come up into the leaves or buds. Try to get better pics and go from there to identify what they are. Good Luck!
