Beginning of the 5th week, the plants slowly go outside. The Auto Ultimate were topped, as were the Frisian Drew and Jack Herer. I don't think the Strawberry Chees and Orange Bud autos are really developed enough for me to top them. What's more, they've already reached the preflower stage. Now 2 days out during the day and in the evening and then it's off into the ground for the Frisian Dews and Jack Herer! The Auto Ultimates are in 60l pots and will stay there - the other Autos are in 40l pots and can stay there too.

I've wanted to grow a plant in a big pot for a long time. Now that we're allowed to grow in Germany and no longer have to hide :-) Which of them would you use for the 100 Gallon Pot?

A photoperiod plant of some sort, growing an auto in a 100 gallon pot would be pointless. In Germany, look for plants that will finish in September........."Sweet Seeds" have excellent early finishing strains, as well as "fast flowering" strains that wil finish mid September. I have grown nearly all of Sweet Seeds catalogue and all of them have performed exceptionally..........easy to grow, productive, potent and with, (most importantly), super stable genetics. You do realise 100 gallons is nearly 400 litres? You can grow 3 metre tall plants in 50 litre pots....I would not grow in anything bigger than 100 litres, but if you want to grow a plant as big as possible, you really should grow directly in the ground. While it may be "romantic" to grow big plants, in my experience, I would rather grow many smaller plants and have a large selection of buds to choose from. I have grown enourmous plants in the past, but then if you grow a strain you don't really appreciate, you end up with kilos of buds you don't want to consume, that is why these days, I plant late in the season and grow many small plants so that I have a variety of flowers to suit any occasion! This way you can sample many breeders offerings and when you find ones you really like, then next season grow those as your "special feature" plants.

My favorite strains to grow outside are all Indica leaning. I do this because Sativa always take the longest to flower and sometimes they are not even ready by the time frost is hitting. You are talking about a few weeks of time outside with an Indica vs Sativa. So my recommendation is whatever strain you have going now, to choose whatever one is more Indica leaning. Also, I would like to note that Sativa plants are usually the 10-12 foot monster plants you see on the internet. Whereas Indica will get around 6-7 feet tall in a season. I hope this helps and I really want to see this journey so hope you keep us posted.

I'd use what you now about the plants. A plant can look awesome in vege an dstill be less than awesome at end of flower. Don't get me wrong, picking the most robust at this stage still correlates but not a guarantee. so pick the one you know more about or just have more interest in.

Ok - both are Frisian Dews... One of them i broke in the 2dn weeks and she grows 2 brunches now. The other one is taller and looks stable. Which one would you choose for a 100 Gallon Pot?
