WE ARE BACK IN ACTION (with some upgrades this time) and experience! FIRSTLY this is a HYBRID Outdoor/Indoor Grow Outside during the day, tent and light at night Cost saving and nothing beats some good ol outdoor natural goodness along with extras at night to make the most of it all If you have followed my previous diaries my aim is always to try and stay as natural as possible but I cannot that a tent and lights do good work Currently at night I am using a 75W Custom built Seedling/Veg Light (Hyundai light bracket with full spectrum marine bulbs) SECONDLY We have new soil! Soil that has been tried and tested by many others - Freedom Farms Premium Organic Absolutely loving the new soil, even under the microscope... It is airy, I can see the organic additions very well (check photos for ingredients) The soil does not require any nutrients for the first five weeks.... but I do like Ecobuzz so I added some Rootpro to all my new seedlings. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Back to this specific plant Okay so this is a seed from Zkittles grow I have no idea if it is an auto, or male/female... I have no idea what genetics it is going to kick out SO EXCITING I will grow her till I see some form of early flowering or anything then I will separate from the other just in case --------------------------------------------------------------------- First time using jiffy/peat pellets for germination, I will never eve look back. It is really such a simple way of doing things 24 hours in water then into the jiffy pellet once sprouted i pushed her into her new forever home done and dusted --------------------------------------------------------------------- Watering I am still doing manually and by the eye Misting a little bit when things have been dry for a while has been doing well, each plant requires different amounts... we will work with that --------------------------------------------------------------------- This plant is growing strong, like her mom and looks like she wants to be BIGGER.... bless her She is looking absolutely magic and forming new growth every day Fresh seeds are quite incredible --------------------------------------------------------------------- During the day she is in my garden room with semi transparent shading, with some decent sun and heat --------------------------------------------------------------------- That's all for now, trying to keep my diaries more simple this time around

While having no idea what this plant was germinated with it was a seed from Zkittles auto from seedsman, she is going to be treated as an auto fem She is quite a bit older than her counterparts, by a week or so and thus quite a bit bigger. I decided to top her, this is my first time doing topping and I wanted to see the outcome for myself. I waited till node 4 and gave her the snip on some small new growth. So lets see.... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Water and Nutes 150ml every time she seems thirsty Still misting most of the time, to avoid any overwatering Used the below once this week First Feed: to power up dat root growth baby Startgro: everything a young plant needs -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Weather We are going into autumn, so its nice to have constant low humidity for a change. Bit of a cold front the last few days, hoping it leaves soon. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lights Night light has been upgraded to a 400w HPS - they seem to be enjoying it --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

OKAY WOW.. THE GROWTH So this Seedsman Zkittle Auto cross... what ever germinated it is absolutely banging our since I topped her last week 12 new growth spots since recovery I PRAY SHE IS A FEMALE This plant is growing up a storm and looks like it is going to be very bushy and possibly bigger than her mom So for anyone like me who was quite freaken worried about topping for the first time Things I learnt and saw from a newby perspective: 1) If the plant is healthy and growing... JUST DO IT 2) You wont see much change for a day or two...thats okay - after that you should see growth forming 3) If you don't have sharp nails.... rather use a very sharp blade or scissors 4) Go slow and keep your hand steady -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 💦Water and Nutes💦 Upped water amount a little to 250ml per, just responding to the growth Still using early plant stage based nutes, they seem to be responding well The First Feed I will stop this week and look into adding some Silica as other growers suggested Startgro will continue for another while -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 🌞🌩️Weather🌩️🌞 Cold front came through this week with some cold/wind/rain So having a light has helped for those days, hoping for the amazing autumn weather soon our city normally ha I really want them to be outside during the day -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 🐛Pests🐛 Nothing noticeable yet Will start pesticides soon as I begin with the others -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Currently full steam ahead and things are looking sharp

This plant makes me so very happy It was the first plant I ever topped and she has bounced back three times stronger New growth points almost daily and everything is just getting bigger Looking at its mom (my previous zkittles grow diary) she is leaps and bounds ahead!!! PLEASE BE FEMALE!!!!! Next week im going to add one or two new nutes to the mix (advice received from other growers) lets see how that goes -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 💦Water and Nutes💦 Still sticking to 250ml water, but I have noticed this plant is asking for more water more frequently I have stopped using first feed nutes and will continue with startgrow till I see the first sign of preflower and then switch to multigro Blackstrap molasses and Silica coming into the mix soon -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 🌞🌩️Weather🌩️🌞 It has been a bit windier than I expect it this time of year Our autumn is incredible weather wise for water sports, not too hot and usually almost no wind Hoping it goes soon, so I can feel comfortable with small plants outside -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 🐛Pests🐛 Nothing noticeable yet -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- upwards and onwards

Plants is growing very nicely Topping has given me four main branches, which as you can see I am trying to keep level and it is currently working My only concern is this plant is currently leaning towards a male, I have not yet seen much in terms of female characteristics... but I am sure this week we will know for sure I will be rather sad if it is a male, but I was at least able to practice some new techniques on it. ALSO...ALSO I added a an indigenous carnivorous plant to the family Meet Augusto, the Sundew - destroyer of fungus gnats and other pests (picture in gallery) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 💦Water and Nutes💦 Pumped up the watering quite a bit, this plant is growing rapidly with new shoots almost every day, extra water to support new growth I did notice a slight Nitrogen toxicity in the leaves, so for now I will stick to nutes without nitrogen... that should change after the sex is shown I thinks. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 🌞🌩️Weather🌩️🌞 Crises this wind just wont let up, early mornings and evenings is best but in between..... a bit wild for my liking -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 🐛Pests🐛 Nothing noticeable yet but I did do a small neem spray just in case some little bastards thought they could make this plant their home --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This plant, this bushy champion, THE APPLE OF MY EYE She is just gorgeous, strong, growing all over the place I had a friend come look at her and he is adamant that it is a female, now to see if she is an auto or not... This week I had to repot her, as her roots were coming out the bottom of the pot, and honestly I wanted to give her a better home. As with all things new it is rather scary, I have never repotted anything in my life So I watched some vids and off I went... JUST LOOK AT THOSE JUICY ROOTS!!! I cannot tell you how proud I was since my last grow where root structures were non-existent 1) Repotted 2) She dropped her leaves... I got a bit worried but I fed her some root stuffs 3) After about 1.5 hours her leaves were back up at full mast 💪 4) She dropped leaves way earlier than normal lights off time so... I turned lights off to let her sleep after her long day 💤 5) Today she is back at it, standing up and praying her heart out at the sun 🙌 Augusto got a new home, he is catching food and has a friend!! I discovered there was a second plant kinda of hidden inside, VERY HAPPY -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 💦Water and Nutes💦 Lots of water but more focus on the repotting To support the repot I gave her 1) Rootpro to prevent any bad vibes from happening to the roots and push for new root growth 2) Startgro which is normally used to push early growth, I assumed it would help her during the repot... It seemed to work Silica was early this week to give strength where I bend and others support -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 🌞🌩️Weather🌩️🌞 A long cold front into what could be our first winter snow on the mountians honestly lovely weather when the sun is out, if this damn wind would just stop -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 🐛Pests🐛 No pests but will spray for prevention --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Okay so this absolute beaut of a plant has shown us a few things 1) She and yes we have now confirmed that it is a female 😃 2) She is not an auto, as its been way too long in vegging So with space in my night time tent becoming a slight issue, I decided to flip her just last night and put her on a 12/12 schedule And well... fuck me did she grow (5L water bottle in photo for scale) It seems I have worked my way into growing a photo a few months before I wanted to... but so be it. I am so stoked with this plant!! She is absolutely gorgeous... Her leaves look good Her branches and stem and strong Her smell is one of health and juicy nature I believe she is going to have magical buds when it happens So for now 12/12 and lets see how it goes... this is all new to me -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 💦Water and Nutes💦 This plant didnt get bad Nitrogen toxicity like my autos did, I think its maybe because of her size and the nutes not being so concentrated on her She is thirsty like crazy and drinking all day I will still tone down nutes for her like I have with the others but maybe...not so much -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 🌞🌩️Weather🌩️🌞 A long cold front into what could be our first winter snow on the mountains honestly lovely weather when the sun is out, if this damn wind would just stop (same as last week, no jokes) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 🐛Pests🐛 THRIPS!!!! LITTLE BASTARDS I noticed thrips on my one plant, so I decided to treat them all 1) Bioneem folar spray 2) Ecobuzz PestPro (a few days later) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 💪Training💪 So I topped this plant early on and the shape is looking great LST still going on to keep her spread out and give all the tops good amount of sun Defoliation next week as things are getting a bit bushy

Very cool week for me flipping my first photo plant Since she turned out to be female and a photo we had to quickly take steps to make sure I treat her properly First thing was that I realised she is going to get big! when I flip her, so I put her 12/12 asap. It would seem that she has reacted to the new light schedule and is pushing pistols hard, clumping and also letting off her sweet sweeeeeet perfume (NECTAR OF THE GODS) She stretched quite a bit since the flip and if she keeps going at this rate...well..... good thing I did it sooner rather than later (night time space is becoming an issue) Aside all the admin she is looking daaaaaaamn fine, like a swimsuit model 😁 Also the wife has said she has a surprise coming for me with nutrients, I hope she stayed organic or they will be returned 😅 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 💦Water and Nutes💦 She is very thirsty, almost smashing 1.5L every two days Nutes as you can see I toned down haaaaaaard, this ecobuzz is very rich Wife says she is going to solve my issues with a gift, so lets see 🙏 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 🌞🌩️Weather🌩️🌞 Cold front have passed, wind is getting less and less as winter sets in Happy -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 🐛Pests🐛 Thrips did not survive the Neem, Ecobuzz double tap Honestly its like a shotgun for pests😅 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 💪Training💪 LST still there, but for now I wont be pushing her horizontally anymore (She is too fat as is) Defoliated early this week (about 10%) will look at doing more this week to give her some breathing room - she just keeps pushing back every time I remove leaves 😆

This is my first time growing a photo, I flipped her to 12/12 last week But I am slightly worried about light leakage From the photos would you say the flip worked or is it still too early to tell?

Hi mate, she is a beauty. Well done!! She is showing her sex but it is a little too early to see flowering pistols. Being outdoor it may take a little longer to come through but you should start to see white hairs come through in the next couple of weeks or so. I hope this helps, good luck and happy growing

Goodness me WHAT A PLANT Still the apple of my eye and doing incredibly well She has stretched very hard this week and I think from next week she will be in full flower mode, she is starting to cluster 😁 I removed all the bendies this week from her as he branches were just getting way too thick and the bendies were starting to push into the branches. When I take her out of her dark home in the morning she smells like...well.... heaven (The description I wanted to use may not be appropriate for younger folk) 😂 💎MY WIFE BOUGHT ME SOME NEW NUTRIENTS!!! WHAT A GEM 💎 She hooked me up with some Biobizz, so this is new ground to me but the plants seem to be loving them. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 💦Water and Nutes💦 So now armed with some new nutrients, I took it very easy introducing them. First few feeds I kept at the absolute minimum and then gradually worked my way up, from next week I will add more of the bloom as per biobizz feeding chart Watering is now pretty much 1.5l per plant every time -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 🌞🌩️Weather🌩️🌞 Winter is here and damn it has been cold The wind is just not letting up and it is freaking me out a bit with flowering and potential males in the area Thinking of keeping them indoors till harvest time -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 🐛Pests🐛 No bastards to be seen or found But I will keep up with preventatives, due to flowering Bioneem is out the window and now strictly Ecobuz pest control -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 💪Training💪 Removed all bendies as I mentioned I was supposed to defoliate this week, but since this is still new grounds to me I am waiting for a friend who is coming over today to show me the know how

Alllllrighty This week I saw the power of the photoperiod plants As per my other diaries, I managed to fuck up my PH properly in my soil My PH meter is obviously now gone and I am using water test kits Anyway Long story short - PH run off was 8 (discovered on stunted and droopy autos) - Flushed and nothing changed - Two big doses of Flashclean/Florakleen - PH now down to 7 Not as detailed as my other diaries but honestly this plant just powered through it She did get some lime green veins and showed a few small signs of deficiency and nitrogen toxicity but yeah this plant came out a trooper. Now I am rather freaken excited about the fact that my first photo is flowering!! She is just gorgeous -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 💦Water and Nutes💦 Flushed as mentioned above with Flashclean/Florakleen Waiting for the soil to dry then will add nutrients that will be missing slightly without a dose of nitrogen -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 🌞🌩️Weather🌩️🌞 Winter is here and damn it has been cold Weather stabalising, less wind plants can get their morning sun till the shade sets in -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 🐛Pests🐛 Nothing, thank goodness Unhealthy plants attract pests...so I was a bit worried -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 💪Training & Techniques💪 Ahhh but we did defoliate her a bit, trimmed her skirt so to say and I will continue again when all is well and I am happy with the PH and overall health of the plant

This plant! Ladies and gentleman this plant makes me so happy when I look at her She survived the ph issues I put her through like a champion Buds are getting bigger and bigger Smell is getting stronger She is strong like an ox Also flowering stretch seems to have slowed down a bit, focus on the buds time -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 💦Water and Nutes💦 So I have increased my watering quite a bit A) to minimize the nutrient build up a bit and not have to same lockout issues - more run off is better I think B) Renourished her nutrients with Startgro - Reason being it has no Nitrogen in it and with the overload of nitrogen from wrong PH levels... I think it was needed C) Back to normal nutrient routine after (except I will add plain RO water between Nutrients feeds as again to not have a nutrient buildup -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 🌞🌩️Weather🌩️🌞 OH MY F@#KING GOODNESS IT IS COLD We have been hit by another big front, snow all over the highlands of the country and the wind is ice My banana blaze fully outdoor must be dying (I hope she comes out strong) Luckily for my 4 main plants who can enjoy the tent at night, they can get much needed heat Even under HID light at night tent is maxing out at 22/23 degrees -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 🐛Pests🐛 Nothing, thank goodness Unhealthy plants attract pests...so I was a bit worried -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 💪Training💪 After defoliation, just tied the main branches down to keep shape

Better than a Christmas tree is all I can say Leaves still a bit dark but working our way out of it She moved up a few cm's this week.... didn't think she would get taller I think a Bee or two pollinated her as she has few random seeds developing on different nugs... Not complaining I want seeds from her -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 💦Water and Nutes💦 back to normal feeding and watering once every two or three days - plain water between nutes -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 🌞🌩️Weather🌩️🌞 Coming out of our cold snap.... and less wind -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 🐛Pests🐛 Hmmm found some shells on the leaves... hopefully its the ecobuzz protect still doing its job No signs of damage -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 💪Training💪 Wire to keep her open, she is fighting to bend back

Christmas tree...oh Christmas tree I keep singing that song when I look at this girl There is bud on every branch, every node, every spot a flower could think of coming out.... it did Buds getting thicker and thicker slowly... I have been told sativa plants can take a looooong time to flower The only thing im struggling with is she is trying to bend back towards the middle and due to her main stem being wider than the bag... I cannot find a good anchor spot But that being my biggest worry.... I don't really have much to worry about She is very much still the apple of my eye -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 💦Water and Nutes💦 Normal feeding and watering schedule 1) Nutes in normal water 2) RO water 3) Low dosage of kelpak RO water REPEAT Silica and other nutes added here and there when I think she needs them -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 🌞🌩️Weather🌩️🌞 Cold Warm Cold Warm Cold Warm Weird ass winter -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 🐛Pests🐛 Not a hint...happiness -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 💪Training💪 Wire to try keep her open Will probably have to defoliate her again next week, the middle is a forest

Been a bit busy the last two weeks with harvesting my other plants so I am two weeks late to this one It would seem I slowed down on my nutrients a bit too much Since the lockout and Nitrogen toxicity I toned down quite a bit with nutrients but I will need to find a better medium between deficiency and toxicity She now has a Nitrogen deficiency, which I have tried to fix by pouring a stronger than normal solution of nutrients with Nitrogen in right at her base Aside from that Her buds - Looking nice and frosty - Smell really fantastic - They are getting some good colour on them -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 💦Water and Nutes💦 Instead of adding nutrients to every 3rd watering, I am now going to be adding her normal nutrients every second watering As mentioned above I have developed a Nitrogen defeciency So we are now on - Normal nutrients - RO water and/or low dosage of Kelpak or Ecobuzz full nutrient spectrum dose if needed -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 🌞🌩️Weather🌩️🌞 Normal winter is here Cool days, cold nights -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 🐛Pests🐛 Still none I have been vigilant with Pestpro which is safe during flowering -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 💪Training💪 Just holding down branches at the moment from coming together as they try reach more light

So growing this plant was quite a breeze She fought hard against lockout issues She responded really well to me topping her and bending etc etc Was quite interesting with the different light at night, it brought upon a whole new bunch of challenges with it in terms of environmental controls and such. my only two external issues was thrips and some slight mould but those were taken care of quickly with ecobuzz and a bit of neem. She was definitely the biggest plant I have grown and I was extremely proud of her especially since she herself was a free seed from my auto grow and she was my first photo by surprise. She was also the last plant to be harvested from this grow so she does complete my second chapter. I am already planning my grow, so lets get to that :P
