The weather is unruly. Hot, cold, humid, raining, windy. I am putting the seedling on a heat mat at night and in the sun during the day as much as possible. 2 have sprouted and the 3rd has a root but no cotyledons yet.

They are trundling along slowly. The third seed finally has cotyledons. Giving them humidity and heat for now and gave them a little water to wet the top layer of coco coir.

Moved them from the erratic outdoor weather to the grow tent. Its a 4x4 and i'm using the Spider Farmer SF 4000 on 40% power. I had a bunch of seeds that came out from the Lemon Haze and they sprouted from getting wet. I picked the 10 best ones and have planted them. My aim is to see how they grow and get myself used to cannabis growth. I will get rid of any sickly, male or under performing plants. Else, i will try my hand with SOG in small pots.

The dullness from last week was definitely due to overwatering. I let them dry out a little and gave them one more watering before transplanting the 3 earlier ones into big pots. The later 5 ones got moved to intermediate pots as a i had no idea where to plant them. I’m out of soil and wondering if i should just experiment with those 5 in the small 1/2ltr pots for their entirety. Maybe with one topping.

Fuck if I know how many mistakes I have made this week and it has been the best experience. For one, I can conclusively say that the soil in which Lemon Haze #1, #2 and #3 are growing is pretty much shot. The soil is coco coir from at least a couple of years ago and I cant confirm if it has been flushed properly. I have no good seeds yet and will keep on with this grow to add to my experience. Mon They were all settling and breathing. I gave them a feeding and about 500ml to the big pots and about 10ml to the small pots (Lemon Haze Batch 2 - LHB2). Tue No action. Patiently whiling time away in readiness for topping. Wed I took all my height measurements, and topped and defoliated #1 and #2. #3 had settled well in her new pot but still stunted. I will give her a few days. Thu I received new soil as well as the worm castings I have been waiting. In addition, I got some organic soil conditioner made from pressed seed cakes. While changing the soil on the original may prove too shocking for them and I had been overzealous already so I went with only repotting the LHB2 that i had intended to SOG. I had 4 pots and 5 plants so I improvised. My composition is 5ltr perlite, 5ltr vermiculite, 6.5ltr coco coir, 5 tbsp organic soil conditioner, 5 tbsp bone meal, 1.5 cups worm casting. They all got a feeding with 1ltr of water each. Fri They had all settled well and the 5 in the new soil already looked way perkier than the original 3 Sat I moved things around in the tent and neatened up as well as set up a small chill spot so I can hotbox while I zone out from the world for a little while. All the LHB2 got 1ltr of feeding solution and the old ones plain water. I want to grow as organic as possible and aside for some fertiliser i added at the beginning when they all looked fragile, I have not used any chemicals. I got this sea-weed fertiliser from a guy i know down at the coast. The flowers and sidewalks have really changed in the neighbourhood and i am giving it a shot on the weed. It's backyard-made and I can only hope safe but is assuredly 100% organic. The feeding solution is 10ml of the sea-weed solution, 1 tbsp epsom salt and 5 ltrs of tap water. The water stays out 2-3 days and i bring the pH down to 6.3-6.5 range with apple cider vinegar. Sun They all looked chill and well fed. Nothing much to do for today.

These babies have been at the receiving end of my tough love and I have decided to ease back for fear of losing more limbs. While I'm learning that my character of tough love is not limited to humans, I am glad these babies wont run away like my women... Sun 13/06 LH #1, #2 and #3 were filling out well post topping and not yet looking thirsty so not much work apart form neatening the soil LHB2#1 She is in the smallest pot and the slowest grower from them all LHB2#2 It could be that her growth is stunted or I am extremely impatient with this grow LHB2#3 She showed signs of bruising on one of the leaves in the lower nodes but looked healthy overall LHB2#4 She got a new set of nodes and she is getting nearer to topping LHB2#5 Looking great and also nearing topping None of the LHB2 needed watering yet Mon 14/06 Autopilot mode and they were all just swinging in the breeze Tue 15/06 LH #1 I gave her a little more training as i want the stems to reach the rim before her second topping LH#2 Ditto LH#3 Ditto LHB2#1 I want to get ready to train her and in hindsight feeling i should have planted her higher up in the pot with maybe 10% more soil LHB2#2 I topped her and defoliated the growth below the 3rd node LHB2#3 Ditto LHB2#4 She didn't look ready for a topping yet LHB2#5 I topped her and defoliated the growth below the 3rd node Wed 16/06 I just let them all be and recover from the previous days ministrations Thur 17/06 LH #1 and #2 were cruising freely in veg mode. LH#3 I lost another limb from trying to train her a little too hard and I opted to let her focus her energy on the good limb by chopping off the injured limb LHB2#1 She got a drink of plain water PH of 6.5 and I began training her with the intention of increasing the tension over the coming days LHB2#2 The top soil was dry but the pot still felt heavy so I skipped the watering and just let her be LHB2#3 Ditto LHB2#4 I was eying her for topping and since she was looking great (despite growing slowly still) I went ahead and topped her LHB2#5 The top soil was dry but the pot still felt heavy so I skipped the watering and just let her be Fri 18/06 LH #1 She has the widest canopy of them all. i pinned the new growth down and tucked some of the bigger leaves away LH#2 Apart for pinning the new growth down, she didn't need much attention LH#3 She was recovering well from all the havoc i had wreaked on her. I added a stake and secured her to it LHB2#1 I increased the tension on the plant ties to lower her canopy a little LHB2#2 She still didn't look thirsty and the soil hadn't dried up much so i left her chilling and recovering from her topping LHB2#3 I didn't stress her any further and just let her be LHB2#4 I pinned her to a stake in the hope of reducing the damage when I train her LHB2#5 She still didn't look thirsty and the soil hadn't dried up much so I left her chilling and recovering from her topping Sat 19/06 I got drunk and lost my phone on Friday night, so I didn't get any photos on Saturday but neither did I give these babies any attention as I was too busy trying to get reunited with my phone (which I did eventually). Sun 20/06 LH #1 She got a little more tucking and pinning as well as 1ltr from a solution of 10ml seaweed extract in 5ltrs of water PH coming to 6.5 LH#2 Apart for a 1ltr drink of water from a solution of 10ml seaweed extract in 5ltrs of water PH coming to 6.5, she got some light pinning LH#3 I fed her 1ltr from a solution of 10ml seaweed extract in 5ltrs of water PH coming to 6.5 and pinned the new growth down a little being careful not to split her at the node/stem joint LHB2#1 Apart for a little drink of water/seaweed solution (200ml), the only work was increasing the tension to bend her more. LHB2#2 I fed her 1ltr from a solution of 10ml seaweed extract in 5ltrs of water PH coming to 6.5 LHB2#3 Ditto LHB2#4 Ditto LHB2#5 Ditto These was somewhat an easy week despite all the trouble I caused her and my camel was back to guard duty. I don't foresee being able to switch these to flower in the next week but will aim for that in 15-18 days.

An easy week that was smooth sailing. We got in with a little BDSM action but mainly the plant - me, not so much.... By BDSM I mean pinning down her arms and some of the new growth. I have been quite proud of my first mainlining efforts even that on multiple plants. The learning curve has been steep and I am making notes of what to look out for in my next grow. I watered them when they looked thirsty and as you would assume the fabric pot plants dried out faster that the plastic pot. The 50% limb loss is going to affect my harvest and it's showing - I just gotta suck it up. I am considering flipping them to flower in this coming week as i am concerned of overwhelming myself with too many flowering blooms to look after. I will wait for a few healthy shoots from the mainline. I would be grateful for pointers on when to flip them to 12:12 21/06 Mon No action as they were still well fed from the last feeding/watering 22/06 Tue More pinning and adjusting the canopies on some of the faster growing ones 23/06 Wed I just felt them up and gave them all some loving touches to remind them I'm still there 24/06 Thur I gave them all feeding of blitzed aloe vera leaves and water (i need to document this shit). The ones in the plastic pot still had slightly damp soil but I still added the aloe as I wanted to feed them while it was fresh. The ones in fabric got 2ltrs each and the plastic ones got 750ml except for LHB2#1 that got 500ml being in the tiniest pot. 25/06 Fri I pushed the SF4000 lights from 60% power to 100% and did some heavy defoliation on everything that was growing downwards. I repositioned some of her pins so as to train the growth outwards. 26/06 Sat I gave the entire crop in the tent a foliar feed of 10ml seaweed extract diluted in 10ltr of water in what would be her afternoon and dialled the lights down to 10% till the droplets had dried off. I did not PH this - should I have? Please excuse my scantily captioned images - I have had a rough night and my brain is fried. I'm also due for my second jab this week and if I do get floored like my first one, I may have to ask one of my girlfriends to come over and help with the watering and feeding. See you next week!

The second vaccine took it all out of me. I barely managed a 2hr walk before I could not carry on anymore. I have spent most of my time horizontally this week. I was unable to water the girls and thankfully had one of my helpers over. These shots are all from Tuesday when they were fed plain PHd water with epsom salts. I am up, out and about today and looking forward to some TLC that will carry me into next week.

This week I performed some heavy defoliation and training as I ready them for flowering. I intend to veg them for not more than one more week from today. Sun 4/7 I got some me-time with them and they all got loving caresses. Mon 5/7 Last major feeding before flowering involved a cup full of top dressing. The TD was made with equal parts organic soil improver (from seed cakes and humate powder), crushed bones, worm castings and cocopeat+perlite mixed with some ash from my barbecue. They got a good drenching to aid the top dressing settle. I also noticed a deficiency on LHB2 #2 - It looked like calcium magnesium and molybdenum from my research. Since they were all getting the same feeding I can only assume her root health is in question. I had been giving water of PH 6.2-6.5 and upped it to 7.0 to allow CalMag uptake. The newer leaves did not show any issues and I am assuming it has self corrected. Tue 6/7 I removed more fan leaves and secondary stems from the bottom and tightened added more cables to have an even spread from centre of the pot. Wed 7/7 They deserved a day of recovery from our activities the previous days. Especially since they had some pending training. Thu 8/7 They were bouncing back fast and I thinned out some more leaves as I do not want to do anything during flowering stage except watering. I have had to weave some limbs back to get the mainline away from one side. Fri 9/7 All limbs showed great recovery from the HST Sat 10/07 They got the last and final LST, HST and defoliation and Now the calm before the storm, This coming week I only want them to fill out and settle. I want to flip to flowering before next Sunday. I would have wanted to harvest these earlier and the extended vegetative time had really made me impatient - however, envisioning the trained limbs becoming long (and hopefully) fat colas keeps me going. I will keep an eye and do intend to reduce some stems to focus on quality over quantity (moot point currently) but this does look to be as heavy a canopy as I think i foresee handling. Any tips on management from this point onwards are highly welcome, especially the lollypop method (which I think I am trying).

This was an easy sailing week. I even went away for 3 days as I waited for her to fill out. Sun 11/07 I kept my promise and did not disturb a hair on any of them Mon 12/07 Apart for a few gentle caresses, nothing much Tue 13/07 I peeked in on them and was happy to note they were all swaying in the breeze Wed 14/07 They felt just about ready for a watering and since the leaves looked upright, I opted to wait till the next day Thu 15/07 An impromptu Molly charged weekend for a puddle of cuddles came up so i gave the big pots 1.5ltr PH 7 water and the small ones 1ltr of the same before I left the house. This way we would both have e hydrated weekend. Friday 16/07 👽 Sat 17/07 👽 Sun 18/07 When i got back, all the pots felt light despite looking lush. Since I am flipping to 12:12 today, I gave them all plain water PH 6.5 and called it a week.

This was their first week of flowering with a dark period from 8am to 8pm. This was so that to compensate for the cold nights we are having out here with temps hitting 16-18C Mon 19/07 Day 1 flowering and not much to do except for a few gentle touches. Tue 20/07 The plastic pots with LH1, LH2 and LH3 were still heavy so only the LHB2#1 to LHB2#5 got watering with PH 6.8 water. Wed 21/07 I gave them all a splash of water as I was leaving town till Friday evening and didn't want to come back to a overly thirsty plants Thu 22/07 I was away Fri 23/07 I gave them a good looking over when I got back and took measurements for height before feeding them 1 tr of water ph of 6.8 with epsom salts LH1: 15" LH2: 13" LH3: 13" LHB2#1: 14" LHB2#2: 17" LHB2#3: 16.5" LHB2#4: 16.5" LHB2#5: 14.5" Extra one: 14.5" I also noticed a calmag deficiency combined with some nute/burn lockout. I do not have the space to carry out a flush and will look up other solutions. I have proactively bought some synthetic PotPhos liquid (NPK 0:50:30) as a remedy if I am unable to correct this organically. The issue was only on LHB2#2, LHB2#3 and LHB2#5 - since everything is uniform in the tent, I am left a little confused. Sat 24/07 I have prepared a top dressing with 40% cocopeat/perlite mix, 10% humate powder, 10% bonemeal, 20% organic soil improver and 20% worm castings. I was to add this and water them today but want to see how long it takes for them to dry out the pots. I suspect the nute burn could also be from them sucking up the leftover salts in the soil when thirsty. Sun 25/07 I vowed to read up about VPD as I am currently running the exhaust on full to acquire RH below 50%. I have skipped both watering and top dressing and pushed them for Week 2 of flowering that will begin Mon 26/07. I also intend to defoliate, top dress and water them on Monday and after which I intend to only focus on watering her for a week to to days. Here's to another easy sailing week ahead.

Is there a way to remedy this without flushing my pots (i dont have the space or privacy)? What would the best way forward be considering I am entering week 2 of flower today? Keen to remain 100% organic but happy to break that rule to save these plants from going under.

You have a potassium deficiency. Your plant is going into flowering good and really hungry for more potassium and phosphorus to make your buds. Would increase potassium levels. Good luck

Monday, they entered their second week of flowering and I kept my promise, I did not bend, pull, pluck or twist any of them - and only gave them words of comfort and touches of care. Mon 26/07 I defoliated them to give some of the lower bud sites more light and learnt a lot of lessons in one day - from my growing follies to my training errors. Tue 27/07 I let them recover from the previous day's work with some PH 6.8 water only Wed 28/07 Flowers are showing on all of them but not quite popping. The soil in the plastic pots feels quite compacted and the seem to drink water much slower than the ones in the fabric pots. Thu 29/07 Apart for a quick look-see to check temp/humidity, they did not get much attention from me today Fri 30/07 I found a way to set up a flushing station and ran 5ltrs of aged tap-water PHd to 6.6 using buffered PotPhos liquid (NPK 0:50:30) through each of the pots. Posing a question on the forum here, it seems i will still require one more flush to bring the soil PH down. Sat 31/07 Since the flushing also added water, I skipped watering and just gave them a cursory look-see all over Sun 01/08 I see a few white hairs though there hasn't been an explosion of growth as I expected based on many diaries. I am now left to hope that a proper flush will help. All in all, a quiet week with close to no involvement from me. In this coming week, aside for one more flush I will also take their height measurements to see how much they has grown since the switch to 12:12

I was still away for this week and was monitoring the plants remotely with my niece at the helm of the watering can. Mon 02/08 I gave them all a kiss and a caress goodbye before going away Tue 03/08 They all got water with epsom salts PH at 5.5 Wed 04/08 No report Thu 05/08 No report Fri 06/08 They all got water with epsom salts PH at 5.5 Sat 07/08 No report Sun 08/08 I was reunited with my girls and boy did we have a frolic. The girls all seem to be showing differing issues, from nute burns to nute lockout and deficiencies. I will attempt one more flush with more volume of water per pot (I managed 5ltrs each last time and will aim for 10ltrs this time). They have all differing bud development and I will defoliate this week so that the colas can fill out. The smell is still not overpowering in the tent or outside where I am venting. I occasionally get a strong ganja whiff and have my fingers crossed that not many people around where I live know what it is. Their flowers are all different, from long and hairy to short, round and bulbous. I will take individual pictures this coming week to catalogue them.

As they enter their third week of flowering, some of them have a strange bud development. I am my wits end trying to figure out if they are male or hermaphrodite. No visible pollen sacs yet and I have decided to tend for them now and only cull any that are 100% male (or hermaphrodite). This week involved defoliation, measuring them up and then recovery until the end of the week when I flushed them. Mon 16/08 They all got a snip and a trim so that their foxy limbs could get some air Their measurements came in at: Lemon Haze #1 19" Lemon Haze #2 19" Lemon Haze #3 18" LHB2 #1 17" LHB2 #2 21" LHB2 #3 22" LHB2 #4 22" LHB2 #5 20" Extra one 18.5" Tue 17/08 No action Wed 18/08 Chill day Thu 19/08 They got a splash of plain water Fri 20/08 No action Sat 21/08 No action Sun 22/08 They all got a flushing with 10ltrs of water PH of 5.6 (dechlorinated tap water + apple cider vinegar) and the run off was as follows: Lemon Haze #1 PH 7.3, TDS 1,150 Lemon Haze #2 PH 7.4, TDS 977 Lemon Haze #3 PH 7.3, TDS 1,390 LHB2 #1 PH 6.7, TDS 1,010 LHB2 #2 PH 6.6, TDS 2,780 LHB2 #3 PH 6.5, TDS 2,780 LHB2 #4 PH 6.8, TDS 1,400 LHB2 #5 PH 6.6, TDS 2,390 Extra one PH 6.7, TDS 1,250 I'm of the view that they could all do with one more flush with more water and I doubt that will be possible for another week. Despite the weird bud structure, I intend to not take any action on the ones with it till i am sure what it is. I have drawn a map for where the pots sit and apart for 3, I will be returning them in the same spot for fear that the weird growth is re-vegging due to a light leak (this Spider Farmer tent has light leaks all over the zippers and observation window velcro). I have added a fan in the tent and some calcium chloride to bring the RH down but to no avail. I intend to starve them for 3-4 days and then give them a feeding along with a watering. Patience and prudence... both of which I lack...

One of the most positive signs is that some of the girls with the questionable bulbous growth have started sprouting hairs. Late pubescence I suppose. Nonetheless, I am a little excited that the rest will bounce back. As at the end of this week (29/08), this is their general flowering status: Lemon Haze #1 - Flowering Lemon Haze #2 - Has started sprouting pistils Lemon Haze #3 - Still bulbous and no ball sacs or signs of hermaphroditism LHB2 #1 - Flowering well LHB2 #2 - Flowering well LHB2 #3 - Flowering well LHB2 #4 - Flowering well LHB2 #5 - Has started sprouting pistils Extra one - Still bulbous and no ball sacs or signs of hermaphroditism, leaves showing signs of Nitrogen deficiency Mon 23/08 Observation only Tue 24/08 Humidity has been an issue due to the cold weather and I am now using Calcium Chloride in plastic punnets to make a sort of humidity baths to keep the RH below 50% in the tent Wed 25/08 Observation only Thu 26/08 Gave them a splash of plain water Fri 27/08 I took photos of them and as you can see from the video things are getting rambunctious in there. Sat 28/08 I gave them a feeding with some store nutrients. Some are showing burnt edges and some are showing reddening tips and leaves. I will do more research this week. Sun 29/08 Observation only I will continue remaining patient to see if the lagging three continue into a flower cycle. Until and unless they show a threat to the others, i will keep caring for them.

Dolomitic lime solution 15.625 mll
Another week of not much except them packing on weight which means now there is more of them to love. Some of the stems are weak and are falling over from the weight of the buds - i will need to start tying them up again (wink wink). Other than that, I had an easy week and went away to some secluded hot-springs 5hrs from me for some skinny-dipping and general clothes-free debauchery. As for the girls, they got some time away from me. Mon 30/08 She had not changed one bit from the previous week. No new growth, no new empty buds, nothing. Tue 31/08 I gave them plain water and took some images Wed 01/09 Nothing to report Thu 02/09 Nothing to report Fri 03/09 I gave her a watering with dolomitic lime and water solution before nodding off for the weekend Sat 04/09 I was away Sun 05/09 I was away Things are almost coasting along now and while I do feel her bud development is slow, I dont want to do anything to fuck it up this far in. Save for the dolomitic lime solution which I will give once more and a good feeding next week (P and K only), I intend to start flushing them in 2 weeks.
