not sure exactly what the pH is, only have a paper dip test for the water and I think it's about 7.5 from the chart. Hard to tell exactly.

Continuing to prune off the lower leaves as the look dead, also some leaves starting to show what I think is nute burn on the tips so gonna cut back a bit on the nutes. Lovely smell coming off them :)

I will stop giving the grow formula nutrient to see if that helps cut the leaf tip burn. Anybody know if it could be anything else? 27/6 day 60. Temps are getting rather high due to the heat here. Gonna try and find the old pc fans to remove some hot air.

Very nice smell now :) still keeping up with minimal nutes, seems to have slowed down the burning by taking the grow formula away. Just a few more weeks!!! Only water from early I. the week so hopefully the burning will stop creeping down the leaves!

So, the stardawg is getting a little frosty but the tangie seems to be a bit behind. I have stopped all nutes now so we shall see how it goes!!

Plants are continuing to bulk up nicely, but I have found thrips! Not sure how dangerous they are but I removed the leaf they were on and I'll see how it progresses.
Grow Questions

I have discovered thrips on one of my plants and am unsure what, if anything to do about it. Is it safe to treat it with anything at this stage of flowering? Will they destroy the plants if I leave them? Any advice would be wonderful!!

Hey man, sorry to hear about that. Is it def thrips you seen the bugs? Wouldn’t personally advise spraying anything on your girls now. Neem oil would have been great before flower I’m not familiar with vaping it but I wouldnt touch my buds with it now. It looks like you have a K deficiency it’s why your buds could have taken so long to develop the withered looking tips can be K def or lock out. It can look like nutrient burn. For the thrips you can do 2 things, leave them and do a bud wash you can find out how to do this online too much explain here. Or you can get some Amblyseius “defender pests” they hunt and eat thrips. You would also have to cover your soil in either sand or perlite a thick layer so nothing can survive in the soil. Because the last step is could reinvigorate for the rest of flower if you want to that is. You make up a H2O2 (hydrogen peroxide) solution and feed it to your plants, this will kill anything in your soil. This could take 2-3 weeks to sort out if you act fast.

Decided to leave the thrips untreated. Don't want to spray with anything and I will spray it down for the next one. Both continuing to get a little bigger. Stardawg definitely ahead, think the tangie could have done better not sure why she's going yellow :(. Trichs on top of stardawg are going amber but lower it is almost all cloudy and a couple of the tops are still mostly clear. Gonna wait and see what happens

Plants leaves are yellowing and dying at an accelerated rate, may chop the stardawg at the end of this week! Tangie has bulked up a fair bit too but still seems to be a little behind. Looks bigger overall though.

Another week passed, another week of just water. I was going to add some molasses or organic honey on advice from another grower on here but decided against it and have been giving them just plain old water. Seeing a lot of amber in places, is it time to pull the stardawg?

Still going lol. Still not too many amber, but I cut down one of the smaller side growths to dry and test. Keeping up with just water, probably could have added nutes for quite a bit longer, but oh well next time haha. Couple buds moved onto a light bulb and burned pretty badly. Be careful out there!

I think that this is as good as they're gonna get. Gonna pull them both down and start a fresh one trying to keep it cooler cos mid 30s everyday is not good. Learned a lot this time, hopefully much better next time! Also took the top off the stardawg last weekend, should almost be smokable now!!
