All 3 seeds had germinated and sprouted within a total of 5 days. I’ve left them indoors, in front of a bay window for a few days so they can see the light and warmth and to encourage them to stretch a little. The two quickest and largest sprouts will be put outside (in an outside grow tent) for a few hours today, to condition them to the weather.
The 3 girls are outside in the grow tent full time and in general they all seem to be doing nicely.
The weather this week has been a bit hit a miss ranging from hot one minute, to rainy and humid the next. I’ve been trying to open up the tent where the weather allows, to try and keep the humidity down and to allow a healthy amount of air flow through my grow space. There’s a few holes in the leaves of one of the plants, most likely cause by a bug, but the plant doesn’t seem to be stunted or effected by this in any way compared to her other sisters.
I intend to use an organic pesticide on all of them this following week to keep the nastiest away.
Other than that I’ll just keep watering them as needed for the rest of the week.
Plants have sprouted 3/4 new sets of leaves over the week. I intend to start LST within the next few days. One plant has trouble staying upright, but otherwise is healthy. Maybe I stretched them a little to much, or the soil is a little too loose? Either way she has a small prop to help keep her upright for the time being.
A reall poo pants week for weather, extremely rainy and cloudy. Also accidentally managed to top one of the plants during lst (note to self, lst before watering).
